Superb! Engineering is a fantastic field, and a very defined domain. That would be quite acceptable.
Science is a good one. Though I'd have to ask you to try and focus is to either Technological, Biological or Theoretical science.
Heh.

You'd be a rather ineffectual deity. As I said; it wasn't just the world that got destroyed, it was the UNIVERSE. Meaning that there was a good //possibility// of aliens at one point, but not now.

That being said; you could be, I would allow an ineffectual deity. You'd still have all the basic boosts, and your Radiance, you simply wouldn't have your secondary power. It would, I imagine, be a bit like phantom limb syndrome; you'd know there was something missing, feel it sometimes, but it wouldn't be there. If you managed to talk to Arven he could explain your Domain to you.

Edit: Also that's a very wide umbrella term... You'd be the God of all Aliens in the universe, which if they were still around, or existed in the first place, would be a bit much. Martians, sure. Betelguisians, okay. Relnek 7ians, whatever. But just 'aliens' is too broad. Same for things like 'insects'. There are BILLIONS of types, and billions of subtypes therein. Ants, flies, mosquitoes; any one of these is fine, but all insects is too much.
Quick Synopsis; God(s) died, along with most of the world and the surrounding universe. Demons flood onto the last remaining continent, seeking our complete extermination, and the only thing that can protect us are the Wild Gods; humans imbued with the powers of God(s). Once a year the power seems to seek new hosts, and that time is upon us.

You will be a Wild God, a new diety granted the power to fight monsters, and protect the last bastion of humanity. Will you fall or flourish? Will you bravely face the beasts, or blindly flee back home? Will you hold the monsters at bay, or will you be the one to finally end their advances?

Go ahead and show some interest, and let's find out!

Intrigued.
This seems an intriguing concept. I'd like to throw my hat in, as the saying goes.

At present I've devised two characters I'm having trouble deciding between. I'm taking the liberty of posting both.

The Bairn

The Braggard

Excellent. Pleased to hear it.
Is it real?

Alright; hate double-posting, but here goes...

The OOC for 7Crowns is now up and ready, with an available Character Sheet.

Unfortunately(at least on my screen) hiders are refusing to work, so it's a bit messy. I intend to fix this when I find the time.

OOC Available here
Welcome one and all to the OOC for 7Crowns.
Note; the following sections are ordered for my personal ease in understanding, but you may have to skip around a bit to get everything. If you've any questions, comments, or concerns do be sure to let me know either here or in a PM.

Suggestions for Professions, Skills, Weapons, and Foci-spells for later in the game are welcome. I'm also always open to hearing plot suggestions from my fellow roleplayers.

Thank you.
1.Follow the Site Rules
2.NO! God-Modding, Flaming, Spamming, etc. At least; not OOC. This is based on internet gaming, so IC some of these things may occur depending on each individual's character.
3.Try to meet the Advanced section's basic posting standards. Not looking for mind-blowing miracle posts with each round of typing, but something legible, and of fairly decent size is required.
4.Post your profiles here in the OOC thread.
5.If you have a major problem with someone please tell ME, do NOT harass them.
6.If you're going away, or not going to be able to reply... let me know. Simple enough.
7.If you have a question, please ask.
8. Put Dreamcatcher at the bottom of your CS post to show you read the rules.
9.I can change anything whenever I feel like it.
10.Have fun!
The character sheet can be can be found here. Note: You will require information from the other sections to complete it.
Player Information________
+++ Name: This one should be obvious.
+++ Age: Same here...
+++ Gender: As should this...
+++ Appearance: Note; your character's appearance will effect their in-game avatar. Of course changes will be made according to race, and small aesthetics such as hair color/eye color/and minor changes in height or weight can be redefined, but the game uses their own body as a base.
+++ Occupation: What sort of job does your character hold out in the big bad world, if any. Student or Unemployed are also option.
+++ Access Point: What country does your character log in from.

Avatar information_______
+++ Avatar name: Name of the playable character in-game. 7Crowns allows for two names(first and last), seperated by an underscore. The game-screen suggests the use of fantasy names such as Rowan_Ervald over horrible travesties of language like xXyolo_swaggerty1Xx for the purpose of immersion and realism. However it will not enforce this preference.
+++ Race:
The playable races can be found in the 'Races' post.
+++ Level: This will start at 0 for everyone, unless special circumstances arise.
+++ Stats: Str, Dex, Con, Int, Cha labeled 1-5 with 5 being the highest.
black bullet Skills: A list of available starting skills can be found on the 'Skills' post.
+++ Active
===> -List Active skills here
+++ Passive
===> -Do likewise with Passive skills here
+++Profession: Leave this blank at start, many professions will be available throughout the course of the game.

Gear Information________
+++ Weapon(s): Characters will start unarmed, and can pick up a Standard Weapon from Hines, the Cardisian Quartermaster. For standard weapons, duh. For special weapons granted by passive weapons skills see the 'Weapons' post.
+++ Armor: You start the game in simple clothes of your race, the style of which will be explained in the 'Races' section. Turning in the Requisition Ticket you can recieve starting armor from the Quartermaster.
+++ Foci: Foci are the items through which Magic is cast in this world. Turning in the Requisition Ticket you will have the option of recieving a standard Foci loaded with Elemental essence that will allow you to use one of the 9 starting Spells found in the 'Magic' post. Natura or those with the Magi passive skill have the option of recieving a second Foci instead of a weapon.
+++ Items: Players start the game with a Requisition Ticket which can be traded in to the Cardisian army Quartermaster, Hines, for basic armaments and armor.
+++ Money: Players start the game with 50 Lin, which is the currency of Cardis, and can earn more through quests, jobs, and special actions.

Playable Races
Humans-Humans appear... human. Upon starting the game they wear clothing akin to that worn by peasantry of the 12th century. They begin with undefined stats to be chosen by the player.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225206_zps2f02aeb1.jpg

Gigas- Gigas are large(8-9 foot tall) humanoids with thick skin, hard muscle, and long limbs. Warrior-born they commonly bare at least a few scars. They wear clothing of leather and hide, and it is not unheard of for them to wear teeth or claws of beasts they've brought down as trophies. They have been gifted with a high Strength stat.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225257_zpsc9ca6fef.jpg

Pretty displeased with how the pic came out.

A better depiction would likely be that of the D&D Goliath;
http://erdan.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/male_goliath.jpg

Massive, meaty, long-limbed, and strong. That's a Gigas for you.

Capri- Capri are the fusion of man and beast. From the waist up they are primarily humanoid, save for a penchant for the growth of curling horns, and yellow animal eyes. From the waist down they bear the shaggy limbs of goats or rams. They wear simple cloth tunics and breeches and sometimes adorn themselves in accessories made of reeds or flowers. They are blessed with a high Dexterity stat.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225406_zps8406d9f1.jpg

These vary a bit, but the basic concept is that of a satyr. Lots of options for horns and eyes upon character creation.

Faenar- Faenar are the Seven Crowns equivalent of Elves or Fairies. Having sleek features, pointed ears, and inefficacious wings they are graceful and cold, with a taste for the finer things. Considering this is the case they commonly wear fine silks, or exotic-looking clothing. Faenar come into the world with a high Charisma stat.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225321_zpsbb3708b2.jpg

Their wings aren't strong enough to outright fly, but they can glide so they won't take fall damage, and they have an ethereal air about them. There will be lots of customization for wings, ears, and the like.

Eterna- Eterna are roughly the same size and shape as humans, with skin-tones akin to stone, and sometimes bearing thick and rough skin patches which take the form of craggy, scaly, or spiny patches of skin. At the brow this can sometimes appear like a bone-ridge, or horn or spike-like protrusions. They are comparable to a cross between golems and lizard-men lacking tails. Unconcerned with the elements they commonly wear simple loincloths, skirts, or breeches of cloth along with tunics or cloaks of the same make. They are born with a high Constitution stat.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225234_zpsd06026bd.jpg

There will be a lot of customization for their skin texture and color.

Natura- Natura are humanoid in shape, with broad chests, angular bodies especially about the shoulders, thick forearms ending in long fingers, and thin legs which hover just off the ground. Composed of essence the young Natura commonly possess a white, gray, or silvery aura which garners color as they age and begin to fuse with one of the natural elements of the world. Their eyes, while holding a humanoid shape, are unnaturally dark. Natura wear robes, or vestments, on the occasion they choose to wear clothing. They are brought into being with a high Intelligence stat.

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/nightthedemon/140118-225343_zpsa879b15d.jpg

Note; those aren't flames, they're supposed to just be raw energy. This is a stationary pic, but in game those outlying energy effects will have a sort of misty particle effect and move around. They'll be a shade of gray, or silver to start but throughout the course of things the color can change as they focus on one type of magic.

The five general attributes which determine a character's ability and play-style.
At the start of the game these will simply be ranked 1-5.
The highest stat for Races will be that numbered 5.

+++ Str- Strength; A measure of physical prowess which effectively gauges attack power and endurance.

+++ Dex- Dexterity; A gauge of a character's speed, accuracy, and finesse.

+++ Con- Constitution; An assessment of one's health, defense, and resistance to natural and magical phenomena.

+++ Int- Intelligence; A quantification of observation, comprehension, and magical capability.

+++ Cha- Charisma; A value of one's allure, charm, and skill in the arts including tat of word-craft.

At the start of the game this will be an empty slot, however by turning in your Requisition Ticket you can receive a basic starting weapon. Starting weapon can be any kind of medieval or fantasy weapon type, of simple make; meaning swords, clubs, axes, knives, throwing stars, javelins, hammers, picks, mallets, poleaxes, bows, et cetera would be available. However; no crossbows, guns, or explosives.

+++ Gigas or those with the 'Heavy Handed' Passive skill may receive a Gigas weapon, which allows for greater range of attack, a chance of armor break on hit, and a chance to use special Memory Fragments later in game, however they will have slower attack speed than others.

+++ Capri or those with the 'Nimble Fingers' Passive Skill can wield Reed weapons, which have excellent attack speed and recover durability through regrowth over time spent out of battle and have a chance to use special Memory Fragments later in game, but don't do much damage.

+++ Eterna or those with the 'Dauntless' Passive Skill can wield Corrupt weapons which have a chance to inflict corrupt on hit, and do double damage against Fully Corrupt beings, and a chance to use special Memory Fragments later in game, but drain stamina when in use.

+++ Faenar or those with the 'Noble Bearing' Passive Skill may choose to receive a Vanity Weapon; a living weapon which will grow and level up alongside the wielder, eliminating the cost of reforging or purchasing better weapons, however Vanity Weapons suffer stunted leveling and a lessening in attack power, and attack speed for some time if the bearer falls in battle.

Magic is the craft of using a Foci to collect and release Essence ans bend the natural world to one's will. Each Foci allows the elements to be manipulated in different ways, known as 'Spells', and higher-tier Foci can contain multiple Spells of a single element.

Natura or those with the 'Magi' passive skill have the option of receiving a second Foci instead of a weapon which allows successive casting between two spell branches and may later allow fusion spells.

Starting Foci Spells are as follows;

+++ Fire Ball; A sphere of molten flame thrown with force. Upon striking can cause burns. Flames spread on hit, potentially causing damage in a wider than average area of effect.

+++ Water Pillar; A jet of water piercing upwards from the ground. Causes massive knock-back and deals a fair amount of damage.

+++ Air Rend; Blades of air which strike with blinding speed. Being composed of wind they will split and reform after hitting a target, allowing them to strike multiple foes in a row.

+++ Earth Wall; A rectangular pillar of stone which rises from the world's surface. On summoning it can be used as a knock-back. Furthermore it will stay for a period of time and act as a barrier to intercept enemy attacks.

+++ Metal Spire; A sharp spike of solid iron which can pierce heavy armor. Can cause wounds which will bleed and cause damage over time.

+++ Gravity Pulse; A crushing force which pins an enemy down for a short duration of time. Has lesser effects at it's outer edge which can apply to other enemies in a manner akin to Slow.

+++ Poison Haze; A caustic cloud of toxins which burn the lungs and skin. Can cause damage over time via poison. May cause blind, or confuse.

+++ Lightning Bolt; A strong impact of electrical energy which causes heavy damage. May inflict the enemy with paralysis.

+++ Thorn Snare; A patch of living fauna laden with thorns. This brush grasps foes and pierces their skin, slowing them and dealing increasing damage in accordance with how much they struggle to push ahead or attack.

+++ Essence Flare; A silvery burst of pure magical essence. At close range, can cause knockback. Inflicts Blind.
