@Gat I have no real problems with the BuCUE and would in fact love to see you use one. We might have to go over specific power level details, but I don't see any immediate issues with the unit.

Power levels in what sense? I'd imagine it would be a little on the lower scale, it is after all a pre-gundam cosmic era suit, even with the flat lining of capabilities (so to speak) most of the other suits asked about so far have been Mass production suits that are either based on a gundam or built after gundams showed up and built on things learned from the gundams. (course the LaGOWE would fit into that second category itself, but I'm talking about the BuCUE here :p)

So yea either way I'll start working on a character after I reread the original post and get a better idea of the custom universe and its factions.
I could do so mate, Just requires me not being at work... so 3-4 hours from now... or saturday/sunday... or we could go pirate pad/pm back and forth route if matching our times gets difficult.
Thats what they said about the Duke too... that happened... eventually...
Hmm, just saw this thread...

I have a quick query; Would a TMF/A-803 LaGOWE be acceptable? Failing that a TMF/A-802 BuCUE?
I've always had something of a soft spot for the quadruped suits.
Cant take full credit for pointing it out, it was brought up in a recent episode of an anime I watch where someone was falling to their death another character had teleport that could swap places and reset momentum while it was at it.

So eh, any chance some slots opened up so that I can get my character in? :)

At least 1 person died and another was outright killed so there probably is a spot. I havent done a surviving character count to confirm though.
The issue with that comes if her teleport retains momentum or resets it, she'd just go splat faster if it was retained.
Kuryi Gabriel Saros
Five Points Outpost, Annamar

Kuryi sat as the end of a long table with most of his seniour inner circle placed around it, at least those that were at Five Points. Above the table was a series of detailed holographic displays detailing the ecenomic situation of the Saros Outfit. the group of them had spend the past several hours giving reports about the area's they were responsible for while Kuryi listened, asked questions and issued further orders. The last Item in the reports was fram Bapyr telling of a starship that had been confiscated from a smuggler unable to pay their debt to the outfit, the rechristened 'Paid Debt' was a medium sized vessel suitable for escort work but capable of opperating alone, a similar role to the Cadillac class cruisers Kuryi had built for his use but less intimidating in armament. For the meantime Kuryi had ordered the vessel remain at Annamar to safeguard Five Points and prevent a second attack, several squadrons of Valentine Interceptors had been ordered from Arami to fill the vessels hanger and a few more squadrons to fill the outposts hanger along with a few M-R Lucchese squadrons to provide some heavier firepower when needed. He should have ordered it done sooner, he had been shortsighted in this instance. The credits obtained from the salvaged remains of the attackers starship was footing the bill, along with a small bonus descretely given from his sponsor in the black sun.

"On to new business then." Kuryi said as he pressed a few keys on the pad in his lap and the holos on the table faded to be replaced by the bust of the man responsible for the earlier attack. "Keller Hudron, apprently he feels threatened by my rise within the Syndicate this last year. Thought he would try and prove to the higherups that I was incompetent and that he apprently knew what he was doing." Kuryi said in a flat and unamused tone. "As it is he stands a little higher in the Syndicate than I do, with this attack I believe it is time to bring him down a few rungs."
"We're returning the favour then boss," Ahamba said, "Do we know where he's based?"
"A few of the operations he runs are known to me, most of them relatively minor though. The man himself has gone into hiding after his failed attack." Kuryi replied. "I want you all to reach out to our contacts, find his more lucrative operations, if we can assume control of them we will, if we cant we will destroy them. Either way I intend to dismantle his foundation in the Syndicate before flushing the man himself out and extracting payment with interest for this attack." Kuryi said as he lit took a drink from the glass of water on the table. "I also wish to increase training at Saya Mountain as well as fleet production at Arami. The Outfit will grow, Keller will be put in his place and we will become a name to be known in the galaxy along side the likes of Zann, Jabba and Xizor."

"Isn't it a little early to be comparing the Outfit to their organisations sir?" Bapyr asked a little hesitently. "Those three have a tendency to take competition seriously."
Kuryi smiled and leaned back in his chair. "A man with a dream will not be denied." He said as he looked at each of them in turn. "We have a goal, and the means to make that dream a reality. I have no intention of quitting before that dream is made manifest." None of the others said anything after that, they knew Kuryi could be driven and was sure of himself, nothing they could say would convince him he might be overreaching with his goal, but then maybe that was why Kuryi lead the Outfit while they followed him. "Well, if that is all there is you all have your tasks to be about, I will be returning to The Art of Battle if you have need to speak with me." He said in conclusion before he stood and left the room.

The Art of Battle, Kuryi's Quarters.

Kuryi paced his quarters aboard The Art of Battle for a time before deciding To make a call he had been considering since the attack on Five Points had been repelled. Approaching his desk her triggered the private comms console inbedded into its surface and placed a call to Andrea on the frequency she had given him when they last spoke. It had been quite a while since then, but then the two of them had rather differing interests for the most part. He registered his name as the forwarding message and waited for a response from the other end.

After a moment the call was answered by Karis, one of the people of Andrea who had met Kuryi, she tilted her head at his holographic image. "Greetings, do you require something? Andrea is, currently occupied for the moment."

"Greetings to you as well Karis, I'm sure the Lady andrea is quite busy, as are we all of course. Still, I require a moment of her time, I have... a request to make of her." Kuryi replied in the same tone he generally used for business equals.
Karis was quiet for a moment. "What kind of request?" She simply asked.
"The kind I must ask directly of Andrea herself." Kuryi replied simply, "I'm sure you understand."

Karis did not smile, "I understand but I am sure you understand that a woman like her when occupied would prefer to be disturbed for a very good reason, so I simply ask for the nature of the request of seeing her. Would you allow yourself to be disturbed from pressing matters if all you heard was that someone wishes to speak to you, even if you know that person to be a... business associate?"

Kuryi smiled as he replied a cold smile that did not touch his eyes. "That would depend on the associate and how much I trusted them. I have not contacted Andrea in near a year, I assure you I would not be contacting her now if it was a trivial matter. If you truely must have a reason, lets say I am in need of some assistance."

Karis rose a eyebrow at that, "I see, well I shall patch yo uthrough." She paused and then seemed to relent on something. "Be forewarned, Andrea might appear changed." With that she began patching him through and her image on his end flickered and vanished.

A few moments later a humanoid alien with slight bone portrusions on her face answered the call and smirked. "Well, well... if it isn't Kuryi. You don't write, you don't call..." Kuryi studied the holoimage for a few moments in silence as he looked for familiar cues before he replied.
"You've had something of a facelift I see, you seem to have a skillful sergeon, Andrea."

She smirked, "I thank you for the compliment, suffice to say this transformation does come with some benefits for my own plans. Either case, good to see I won't need to explain that I am truly me." She leaned back, "Karis informed me you were not rebuffed, so something serious must be going on, a lot of that happening lately I notice. What ails you I wonder?"

"I am Echani, we read body language like most people read aurbesh, the subtlties of yours have not changed." He said with a smile that was warmer than the one he had given Karis." As to what ails me, Iwas attacked, or rather the shadowport I administer on Annamar was attacked. While the attackers were neutralised to a man their employer remains at large." Kuryi said as he cut to the point. "I wish to make an example of him, absorb or dismantle his operatation, reduce him in the eyes of everyone he hopes to gain favour with and then extract the price of this attack from him personally. A sentiment I believe you understand."

She blinked and then nodded slowly. "Oh I can understand, as things stand I am expecting a imminent invasion myself. Not my holdings at kessel if you were wondering, my... private retreat is under threat. From the sound of your words you want my help, I hope you understand with me revealing I am facing a imminent invasion my resources of helping you are somewhat limited but what is your request of me."

"I am merely requesting information, You have contacts both outside and within the Syndicate that I do not." Kuryi replied. Before I can demolish this pest I first need to find his nest, as it is I know of a few lower level operations he runs, but his bigger assets and operations are unknown to me. I had hoped to increase my chances by tapping into your intelligence as well."

Andrea tapped her lip and nodded, "I can send some feelers out if my contacts know who might have attacked and which operations he or she runs. Would take tiem of course but I would contact you if I got anything, or nothing at all."

"I can save you the time on the who. An underboss in the black sun by the name Keller Hudron, He saw my rise in the Sydicate as a threat and tried to eliminate my gains." Kuryi added at Andrea's response. "You mentioned facing an invasion yourself, I am asking something of you, it is only fair to offer something in return. This last year has been profitable for me, I have a small fleet and a competent force of troops at my command. I can send them to assit you if you wish."

She smirked, "Oh I am actually quite confident I can handle what is coming my way, I have other allies already coming to assist me. Though if you do want to help... if you could find out whatever you can about a Tapani noble by the name of Traiserus, especially his whereabouts, I would appreciate it." She shrugged, "But I will send my feelers out to see if they know anything about Keller Hudron."

"I may be able to find something, Tapani is not far from my shadowport, I will certainly let you know if I can find anything of this Traiserus. Is there anything about him I should know?" Kuryi asked in reply.
Andrea frowned, pondering for a moment and then shrugged, "He is like me, take that as you will.... do you still have that annoying lizard?" She was referring to the ysalamiri.
"I do indeed." Kuryi replied with a smile.
"Good to know, I might request to loan him... or rent him, if Traiserus is found." Andrea said slowly. "But I suppose first to see what happens in the next few days, I will contact you as soon as I am able."
"Very well. Good luck with your defense, Andrea, It would be a shame to lose such an associate as yourself." Kuryi replied.
"Aww, why thank you for your concern, I wish you luck with destroying everything the foolish sentient who crossed you owns and holds dear. If you wish him to be eliminated in a painful way then feel free to look me up."
"I may take you up on that." Kuryi replied with a slight bow of his head, "Until next time then." he concluded with his hand poised to terminate the link.
"Until next time, happy hunting and I shall do the same." She finished saying with a purr and terminated the link on her end.

Quiet decended on Kuryi's quarters again as the comms unit shut down. he wondered breifly if he had gotten more than he bargained for with that conversation. But the thought of pitting himself against a force user that would freely fight back quickened his blood. Dispite andrea's word choice he was not about to loan out the Ysalamari he had recovered from Ziro's on Coruscant, where it went, he went. Kuryi smiled to himself as he punched in a few quick summons into his commlink for a few of his officers and cre to meet in the training rooms, he had energy to burn and a good five on one sparing session was just the ticket to discharge it.

Maher & Nadira Adonai
Ravens Inn
Pretty Bomb Dilema

Maher looked down at the bomb and frowned, the riddle was fairly straight forward but depending on ones perspective could be solved any number of ways with the options available to them. "He has got to be kidding...." Maher said aloud as he looked down at the crystals.
Nadira shook her head "riddles... Why riddles!?" Nadira was never good with riddles. She knelt down to look at the images on the crystals and shook her head.
"Its not a riddle its a mind game." Maher replied as he ignored the banter from the two mercs leaving the tower. "It could be conceivably be any combination given the riddle and the symbols provided."
"Cycle of knowledge... Well the book to me seems to be a symbol of knowledge, as for the others.. The eye.. The planet.." Nadira threw her hands up on frustration. "I should boil his blood!"
"That would likely accomplish little." Maher said as he reflected breifly on his own rashness earlier. "I can think of a rationalisation for every possible combination of those symbols..." He added a moment or two later. "You were always lucky in the logic challanges father gave us, when actual logic failed you, you would still often come up with the right answer."
Nadira glared at her brother "those were not matters of life or death!" She sat for a moment before picking up the crystals. The eye first, and then the planet. "Cycle of knowledge... I don't know.. See the world perhaps?" She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "The book to me represents the knowledge, and the only thing I can pick would be man see's the world and in doing so gain knowledge" she looked to her brother for an opinion
"Its as good as any reasoning I can come up with for the posible combinations." Maher replied, "I'm happy to trust your gut on this."
Nadira just shook her head "I wouldn't" she muttered as she placed the crystals as she believed they should be placed.
Sarz said much the same.
