I am interested =O! Here is my character.

Name: Brysen Gray
Alias: Catfish, Glitch, No Face
Age: 25
Race: Human
Appearance:

Glitch is a man about five feet and seven inches tall. He wears an oilskin pure white raincoat with black trimmings, white latex pants, knee high white rain boots, white latex gloves, white leather belt with black edge, black metal buckle, and a blank white mask that changes color and shape depending on his mood. Four large buttons tuck in his raincoat at the midsection with wolf fur outlining the base of the hood. His unkempt hair is baby blue, his complexion is fair, and his physique is very good(nearly Olympian without any magic due to his profession as a Runner).

Social Status: Runner
Relations: RedSparrow (Hacker), WhiteHat(Hacker), Spiffy (Magitek Technician), Wesley Johnson(Private Detective), Rachel Gray (Sister), Otto Grosman (Omnity Contact), No Face(Clone)
General Activity: Reconnaissance of local areas and people of interest.

Abilities:

[Power] Electromagnetism
Glitch is talented user of electricity. His powers include heightened reflexes by charging up the electrical connections in his nerves, a passive static field around his body that allows him to sense the location of nearby objects(distance he can sense varies in location due to the earth’s magnetic field. Typically he can sense everything moving within twenty feet), creating the illusions by manipulating light(holograms), shooting electricity, and manifesting physical objects with electromagnetism.

[Power] Electromagnetism - Manifesting Physical Objects
The objects created have a noticeable static field that will turn one’s hair upright if touched. This can also be used to project clones of oneself that can act independently as electrical signals from the user’s brain are copied onto the clone. Reversely, these clones and Glitch can also pass information through an electric shock to one’s brain. The strength/durability of the objects created by this power is equal to the amount of essence used to create them..

[Power] Electromagnetism – Memory Dive
Glitch and his clones are able to dive into the minds of people by synchronizing the electrical signals of his brain to that of his intended target through touch. While simple information such as a phone number or password can be passed on with a simple electric shock. Experiences such as how to operate a nuclear submarine, how to speak a foreign language, and past memories must be imprinted through a memory dive.

A memory dive is a technique used to locate where specific information is stored in person’s brain. This is important as memories changes must be placed in the right place in the brain otherwise it will cause confusion to the target when they try to recall information.(etc…seeing pictures of cute dogs when they try to remember how to speak German). The technique connects the user’s consciousness into the targets subconscious.

Once connected the user can coax the location of the information by showing the target mental images, references, objects, past memories, and experiences to make the person remember what it is the user wishes to know(thereby lightning up the part of their brain where that memory is stored). Once the user finds the location they can manipulate the person’s memories by changing the electrical impulses between those nerves.

The user may also take memories from people and imprint that to themselves in the reverse order. The only downside to this technique is that a person’s brain eventually “corrects” these changes to their brain over a few weeks. Meaning any knowledge gained through this must be “relearned” through another memory dive until it becomes a permanent memory. Memory changes can also be forcibly undone by shocking the person with a strong electric shock.

[Skill] Hacker
Spend enough time on the internet and you eventually learn how to crack the toughest of systems. Glitch is a masterful hacker that goes by the alias “Catfish”.

Equipment:

[Artifact] The Laughing Mask
An mysterious artifact from a time long since passed. It takes the shape of a white blank mask that cannot be removed once placed on someone’s face. The mask itself changes shape and color based on the mood of its user. There are no slits for the eyes or mouth, but the user is still able to breathe normally. It has no magical powers of its own besides what has been mentioned, but if one were to gaze deeply into the mask it is said to show the onlooker something truly terrifying.

Personality: Will Show IC
Biography:

Known:
Very little is known about the enigmatic masked runner known as Glitch. A few years ago information about him had wiped from the Omnity database, effectively making him the subject of rumor and speculation. However, it is known that a mysterious masked persona often rendezvous with important figures in Kenan. And that Gospel Militants often mysteriously disappeared in the same region never to be seen again.

Not Known:
Under the pseudonym Catfish, Glitch has a wide information network, having infiltrated many security systems in Kenan. He has eyes and ears on one-third of the security systems in operation with another one-thirds being monitored by fellow hackers WhiteHat and RedSparrow. His rogue clone No Face also roams the city through the electrical cables, using the city’s power lines to sustain its transient existence. At the moment the two have an uneasy truce with Glitch being uncertain on the true extent of his creation’s intentions.
Sophia immediately dropped her backpack along with her bag and draws her katana. She had taken a good look at the damage done by her previous attack and was now readying herself to be more mobile. The man at first glance appeared to be able to absorb energy. A curious combination as she too absorbed energy into a malleable substance. It looked like the only difference was that her substance was invisible. His was metal. She backed away from him, lifting her backpack and bag with her wave so that they hovered in the air within arm’s reach.

Her foot slammed against the floor of the cogwheel as the man launched needles towards her. She magnified the force of her kick, launching herself backwards. She does this repeatedly as she backpedals, controlling the force so that she is only a few inches off the ground. She is not traveling faster than the needles thrown towards her, but she does not have to as she quickly flings herself down the gaping gash she had made into the middle of the cogwheel earlier with her light beam after only four steps, avoiding the needles entirely as they whizzed over her head.

As she disappears into the darkness beneath the huge cogwheel, she took with her wave the liquid metal the man first used to attack her. She begins molding the liquid into a sphere. A previous experience with curses keeps her from touching the metal directly. Instead, she uses her wave like a pair of gloves, handling and shaping it into the form she desires. She then snaps her fingers as she continues to shape the metal, bending the light around her so that all that can be seen from afar is a faint shimmer in the background.
Sounds like fun lol.
I keep up with a lot of media from light novels, books, manga, and anime. Recently, going back through time to search out old animes that I missed the first time around. Just finished Blue Gender and I recommend it if you want to see something similar to Attack on Titans.

The mysterious man slipped behind an iron wall and then disappeared from her view. The column of light from her glasses melted the wall he had erected into grey paste. In seconds, there is nothing left but the smell of burnt metal. Sophia’s eyes look for traces of the man in the smoldering remains. She does not think the stranger has died. He had the gift of bending metal and had attacked her first. This means the man is confident in his abilities. He should not have died so easily.

Sophia acts with caution. She walks forward, wrapping herself in her wave which is still pressing down on the liquid metal used to attack her earlier. Though Sophia is flamboyant and can act silly she is not stupid. She has the body of a normal human girl. This fact is ingrained in her head. Her wave is her first and only defense. If something heavy from the ceiling suddenly fell on her or if a little piece of metal flew and stabbed her in the chest. She would die. Her mortality is very humbling and present in her thoughts.

Little red orbs fly through the air in front of Sophia’s face. They are very small and fast; the size of a drop of rain. They are moving so fast that they look like buzzing flies. The concerning thing about them is that they are so many of them. Like a cloud of bees ready to sting. This must be one of the man’s metal bending powers. So he is not dead after all. The little beads attack Sophia from different angles, but her wave catches them all. The beads stick to the invisible wave like glue and are held in place.

A few beads penetrate deeper than others, but in the end her wave is too strong. None come within arm’s reach of her body. Even though her wave is her only defense, it is an impressive defense. This is why even when facing a snake a hundred times bigger than herself she is not worried about her life, but the condition of her hair. She is also not that concerned about the man’s powers either. The only thing that worries her is whether she will be hit when her wave is not around her. Getting distracted means death. So she cannot afford to get distracted in this fight.

Lighting then hits her from behind. She can feel electricity zapping the air around her as it strikes the wave surrounding her. This feeling is familiar and she manipulates the wave to divert the lightning to the side. Her wave is like a rushing river. It can not only exert pressure, but direct things away. It washes the lightning off to the side. Again none of the lightning comes close to touching her clothes. She remains unscathed, frustratingly so if the man meant to hurt her. She can see the man behind her and conjures up a lightning storm of her own.

Her wave has no power on its own. Instead she converts energy from her surroundings through touch into her own special malleable power. In this case, the awkward karaoke backpack on her back supplies the power. It has a battery life of five hours. Several hours of which were spent fighting the snake. This does not mean she has no way of creating the wave on her own, but it does mean she cannot surround herself in a bubble if the fight lasts too long. She siphons a bit of the energy in her karaoke box out in the form of electricity and projects it towards the man.

The second property of her power is that it can magnify any energy source several times over. She showed this power when she used the little lights on her glasses. Changing a small power into a big power. That is its second ability. The lightning is different from the shock that the man sent towards her. It is a white hot flash capable of ionizing the air. Even it didn’t hit you it could cause the normal human being to combust just from the heat from the passing particles. A quick instantaneous death. That is what the girl wants to happen since she knows the longer the fight drags on the more risks there will be to her defenses. She also relies on the fact that the man is wearing armor to attract the lightning. She does not need to aim, only shoot in the general direction. The attack will chase him like lightning to a lightning pole.

No worries, your fight with Asuras aka Glitchy is what I am talking about. The fight is alright but without a limiting factor, the fights could go that way.

I am not Asuras.....
Sophia could feel a trembling in the ground and raised her hand instinctively to guard against the liquid metal traveling along the surface of the cogwheel. Her bubble of energy, malleable to her touch, poured from her body and over the ground, applying pressure from her wave to stop the streaming metal from moving. She then quickly put on her headphones which were resting on her neck; ignoring the sword sheathed on her waist, and still carrying her bag in her right hand.

She looked rather clumsy, unprepared, and a bit childish in her antics, but of course under those blue bangs, white blouse, white surgeon mask, and pleated skirt one couldn’t deny she looked rather cute for a girl her age. She looked directly at Xavier and with a light tap on a button on the corner of her eyeglasses blasted a ray of LCD lights out of the rim of her glasses. And then the most astonishing thing happened. The light from her glasses seemed to freeze in midair as it came into contact with her wave which was in front of her. It was if time had diluted its motions to a standstill, sticking it effortlessly in place.

It was an event that happened for a fraction of a second, but for human eyes the sight would have been truly odd as a beam of light drew a perfect line and then moved as if in slow motion through the air. Then all of a sudden as the light beam reached the edge of her wave it erupted, growing a thousand folds into a colossal column of light so intense that it melted through the floor and split the cogwheel they stood on nearly in half!

I am not sure why people misread this. You have to target the object to break it otherwise it will not break. Make clear that the object is being targeted, and the opponent does nothing to negate the attack (which as surprising as it sounds...some people don't read their opponents post.)

The reason people might misread this is even with the definition provided is that you always have some ambiguity when it comes to context. If I'm trying to kill someone, on a base level, I'm trying to target everything in range and smash it down till their dead. It is subjective, especially with prose and literary devices that aren't necessarily bad, but might blur how clear their actions are. Anyway, I understand now. I have some concerns about prepping posts carrying over, might make the fights massive logic trains, but just have to see how that works.

Ah, i see. Maybe a durability estimate should be included as necessary for in the equipment description?

The way I understand it all weapons break if they are hit with two successive attacks. That is to say you can't block with your sword all the time, but must dodge and avoid using other abilities in your character's arsenal. This also only applies if it is in a situation where common sense doesn't follow, etc...some reality warping shenanigans or magical abilities, so no logic breaking for low tier characters with basic human strength.

3) Objects (arms, legs, weapons) break after 2 successive targeted attacks to the same object, or 2 consecutive posts through which targeted pressure is applied (to a joint or otherwise) with a lock.

I think it's fair to also probably explain the preps a bit more for lower tiers against higher tiers.

Thus Low tier characters have an equality of posts, however if a Low and Intermediate character decide to fight there is an inequality of a +1 prep advantage given to the Intermediate character. If the same Low tiered character decides to fight a High tiered character there is an inequality of +2 prep advantage given to the High tiered character.

What does this mean? It means a Low vs. Intermediate requires at least one prepped action to affect the Intermediate character, and conversely his normal attacks act as a one prepped attack.

The same goes for a High tier character; they have either a +2 or +1 prepped action against either a Low or Intermediate character.
This system is used to delineate the power differences between characters. This of course does not mean that a group of Low tier characters cannot attack and defeat an Intermediate or High tier character. It just means that they will have to act in concert to do so.

Not sure what a prep does in this situation since post length and content determine the strength of an attack or defense.
On the character sheets is the character types explained somewhere? etc...difference between critical character and secondary character. They seem interchangeable. Also, probably some simplifying is needed for the power tiers: low, intermediate, and high. It's weird that there are 3 definitions for each level, they should be combined into one paragraph per tier to make it more clear. Logic for the combat looks solid. Very nice.
