For a moment, as the tiger was going to speak... he stopped moving and froze as the rain stopped and the flames stopped moving, almost as if the fires were frozen in time. The Tiger's eyes were wide with shock, as was the Monkey girl's next to Kirrian, and Bola's next to Susan... something was just wrong with their expression. Every animal and creature was like they were in a fearful stance of what was to come. The trees began to wilt and immediately began to crumble to ash, and the skies above began to darken as a silent murmur could be heard in the back of every single person's head... almost like a subtle chanting in the back of everyone's head.

"Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... Finally... "

"FREEDOM!"

With a blood curdling roar, a behemoth emerged from the forest grounds, as large as the mountains and reaching high above into the skies with eight dark wings of draconic origin. With a face of that mixed between a horned serpent- a dragon perhaps? No, this was something far, far worse than any dragon or demon...

This... was a god brought forth from the depths of the realm of Kite, unleashed finally and freed upon the lands of to do whatever it so pleased.

Unleashing a menacing laughter, one that shook the very core of the land and separated the skies, the earth began to split apart and break as things began to crawl their way out from the ground. Horrendous abominations with decaying flesh and splitting ribs and acidic blood... all making their way and cutting off everyone from one another... creatures of varying size and of fairy tales of old.

It was almost as if hell was being brought down on Kite itself.

Immediately, Bola shoved a bow straight into Susan's arms before staring at the God. "Take Silvermoon... it is my mother's bow. I must protect the forest."

Nuzzling Coco, the large white tiger promptly stood up before walking away. "My name is Guren... Although, I suggest you start running now, human," spoke the tiger as it immediately started to dive head first towards where the craters were forming.

As for Kirrian's companion, the Monkey Girl just squeaked a bit before coiling up and huddling in the corner in fright of what was to come next... watching Kirrian as to what he would do next. Seemed as if he either had the option take her with him, or leave her behind.

Although, the situation remained the same for everyone, there were things everywhere... disgusting and disturbing things that were beginning to kill and destroy everything, and they were turning their attention to YOU. Whatever the case was, the earthquake thanks to the behemoth caused you to get separated, and now you're on your own for a while... Time to think of something, and fast.
Hm... I see your point... although, you are right in that it will make for interesting situations.

Although, I can always edit it out if you'd like and if it is that worrisome.
ALSO... yeah, idk if I like the sound of Ian's character being able to detect heartbeats. Everything else seems okay, though it's odd that they're basically upgrading him. Would probably give Ant ideas of his own to retaliate for cool cyborg parts.

Well, it's more from a medical stand point to make sure that someone is alive after severe injuries on the battlefield, at least that was my intention. Though, I can see why it can bring up problems.

Inb4 we get a team mascot, and then Lorenzo eats it

Lorenzo does like sweet things... >_>
Ritsu sat there in silence as the little girl cried into her chest and asked her many things... and for a while she just sat there with her eyes closed with a serious expression.

Until finally, she slowly wrapped her arms around Sigma and gently pulled her close, stroking her hair as she gave off a gentle smile before speaking her answer.

"You are human."

Yes, that is what her answer was. That, is what Ritsu believed even after hearing what this little girl had to say. She had read this girl's files, and despite that, she still saw her as a human being... she saw every single one of the Cadets as a human being, despite what Lorenzo or the others might see them as.

"No one is supposed to be anything, Sigma... we were never meant to be anything from birth, not even you, no matter what anyone tells you. We cry, love, hate, fear... we have all of these emotions and feelings because we are human. You aren't a doll, Sigma, and you never were one in the first place. To be honest, I've always wanted to be either a teacher or a daycare attendant... I love taking care of and helping people, especially watching little children grow up," murmured Ritsu as she squeezed Sigma a bit, chuckling to herself. "My hands are not clean either, I will admit that to you. I've taken lives and I've had to leave and sometimes even kill my friends who would try and kill me for the sake of the mission," spoke Ritsu as she continued to stroke Sigma's hair.

"It... it never gets easy, it never does, and I can't give you all the answers... I guess that's part of being human, right?"

Giving Sigma another squeeze, Ritsu continued as Lauren placed two slices of cheesecake along with some tea on the table in front of them. "Don't stop being human Sigma, for once you do, we're no better than the Cruxi... and feel free to talk to me about anything, alright? I may be a bit strict, but I've been told I'm a good listener. It's good to let it all out every once in a while."
Tsk...Bnt...

Finally, the eye was done as Cedric finished implanting it into Ian's socket, twirling his Calibrator as he took a step back, staring at handiwork before nodding in satisfaction. "How does it feel? I finished calibrating it just now, and it should working perfectly. You should be able to zoom-in quite a few meters, see in night-vision, and sense heat as well... oh, and heartbeats too."

Looking at the eye, the iris was silver and very human-like, although it contained two pupils instead of one... probably for show?

"I know Lorenzo said no anesthesia... but... since he isn't here and he's out getting my pizza, I've been giving you plenty so you wouldn't feel the pain," murmured Cedric as he looked over Ian. "Although, being awake is probably not healthy for you either. I do need you awake to ask you questions to make sure the parts are working correctly after all."

"We will be getting to your legs in a bit, so, if you got any questions, you might want to ask them now before Lorenzo gets here. Oh, and are you thirsty? Got some water if you need some," muttered the blue haired man as he took a glass of water and began pouring some into Ian's mouth. "It's all you're going to get by the way, so drink up now."

"Oh, and your sister misses you, so do stay strong so you can see her again real soon," murmured Cedric as he twirled his calibrator again, before glaring straight at Ian's face.

After sending off the Spartans with the rest of the squad, Ritsu continued her way down the hall, only to meet up with Sigma a little while later.

"Ah, there you are Sigma," murmured Ritsu as she looked over the new Squad Leader, noticing that she was now clean and newly dressed. Staring at her a bit, and furrowing her brow, Ritsu folded her arms before walking towards another room. "Come with me, Sigma." Going into a room that was most likely for debriefing but with multiple couches, and a table in the middle- along with a banshee standing in the corner, fully activated and staring at both Ritsu and Sigma as they entered. For a Banshee, one of the military's most powerful A.I. units against the Cruxi to be stationed here is a bit unnerving...

"Ri-Ri! Welcome! Oh, there is a Child following behind you... Is it yours?" murmured the Banshee unit as it as it promptly began to walk towards Sigma and stare at her intently.

"Heavens no, Lauren! Do we look related to you!" roared Ritsu as she glared at the Banshee with a flustered look. "Besides, do I look that old to you!"

"Well, last time I checked you were-"

"Don't answer that!"

"Sorry Ri-Ri! Hm... Shall I prepare some tea for the two of you then?" asked Lauren as it tilted its head.

"That would be perfect... Oh, and what about Lorenzo's cameras? I think Sigma and I here have a lot to talk about," said Ritsu as she turned around and gave Sigma a small smile.

"Not a problem, Ri-Ri. Lorenzo actually is out getting something to eat at the moment... Pizza, I believe? Changing the security logs should be simple!"

"Wonderful! Alright Sigma," Ritsu walked over and took a seat on the couch, before patting the seat next to her,"let's talk. Don't worry about telling me everything either, Lorenzo wont find out."

"I'll go ahead and make the tea and some snacks as well," spoke Lauren the Banshee as they began to make their way towards the connected kitchen, making heaven's know what.

As everyone was escorted to the lunchroom by the Spartans, they would see that another Spartan was zooming down the hallway chasing... something extremely fluffy, or furry? Although, they weren't attempting to shoot it which was equally odd.

A regular soldier saw what they were chasing and out of fear almost shot what they were chasing, but with quick reflexes the Spartan immediately performed a kick and knocked the soldier to the ground... before continuing to chase the fluff ball over into the kitchen

"Is that a rat?!" shouted one of the chefs as bowls and tables in the back could be heard flipping over.

"N-No you idiot, it isn't a rat it's-!" shouted a female chef as pans started flying while the Spartan darted after the white fluff ball as it booked it out of the kitchen and out into the dining hall, startling everyone... until it finally made its way over towards where Antwon was at, and promptly laid on top of his chest as it fell asleep from exhaustion.

The Spartan walked over, and poked Antwon immediately.

"Cadet, you have a stray white kitten sleeping on you. I request you dispose of it immediately."
While there is a lull in this conflict, I'd like to ask @Gnar The Missing Link if a plot post could be made, so that the RP can continue to move forward, If you would be so kind.

I'll get something out shortly, don't you worry Raijin! I'll also have something out for Ian too~
Lastly, just as a curiosity, is English your first language? Or are you writing on a mobile platform. Not to be rude.

You're already being plenty rude as it is. There's not really any need for an apology now.

Now this... Just out of curiosity, what hasn't gone your way so far? Just off of the top of my head, the cadets failed the test as you expected them to, Ian broke down just like you wanted him to, Sigma submitted just like you wanted her to, the cadets stopped fighting just like you wanted them to, Iskander lost his swords just like you wanted him to... At what point have we actually gone off the rails?

1)Did not intend for the team to become a bubbling mess
2)Did not intend for Ian to become Cruxi Lunch
3)Did not intend for Ian to become reincarnation of Raiden/Cyborg Ninja Pilot
4)Did not intend for the the Synch Rates to turn out the way they did
5)Did not intend for Sigma to Rip out Ian's freaking eye out and get traumatized and piss herself. Kudos to Atomic to including that, very... disturbing.
6)Did not intend for Korie to start hating Zan for hitting Takeo
7)Did not intend for Ritsu to confiscate weapons that should not have existed in the first place.

Those are only some things.

There have been other discrepancies, I've just been the most vocal. At let's be honest here, I've been complaining since long before the swords were taken. That entire post was just a really blatant display of railroading, and I really didn't care for it. The whole sword fiasco can be summed up as, "Nope nope nope I don't like what's happening here and it's going to stop right now and you can't do anything about it and I'll make sure to punish you if you do it again and I'm just going to change the scene so you definitely can't do anything about it."

-Sighs-

Look.

I did it because Atomic PMed me and asked me to, because if Sigma would have gone ahead and seen them acting that way right after what she had seen with Ian, she probably would have used the new gun she received from Ritsu right away due to being so mentally strained, and it would have made sense. Which brings me to what you said:

Look, I think there's a severe miscommunication here. This isn't a matter of being right or wrong or correct or anything like that. The fact of the matter is that I have an issue with the way the game is currently being run. The disconnect that I am seeing here is that rather than trying to resolve the issue, you are telling me that I am wrong for having it. If you're trying to reason with me regarding this issue, I can't tell, because I'm getting more of a "sit down and shut up" than anything else. You may play a megalomaniac in the RP, but roleplaying is a collaborative process.

I know what Collaborative means, hence why I helped Atomic and Ammo with their GM Permission posts and Don plan his character's explosive devices... or did you already forget that? I'm honestly not telling anyone to "sit down" or "shut up", and that they have no freedom at all, honestly, I'm not! I'm wondering where in the hell you are getting these ideas that you're starting to freak me out here! o.O

I also gave Atomic the power of being in charge of the Squad, which I'm looking very much forward to~

Although, Dead, if you honestly don't like the way that I'm running things, then all I can say is that I'm sorry and I'll try and fix it, but being rude about it isn't going to solve anything and will just make it worse. Though, again, if you don't like how things are going... then, well, there's also the door and you are also free to leave whenever you want.

No one is keeping you here if you aren't having fun after all, that is what all RPs are meant to be ultimately: to have fun. :/
<Snipped quote by Gnar The Missing Link>

Regardless of the specific context of this, the impression I'm getting so far is that our characters are free to do as we like, as long as what they do is exactly what you (not your characters, you) want them to do. And if we continue to resist railroading, we will be subjected to godmoding to keep us in line. Explain the circumstances however you wish, but this is the impression so far gained of this RP by myself as a player.

I finally, finally understand what it feels like to be a teacher when they take someone's toy sword away and they begin crying like a baby for no real reason in class when it was clear that they were doing something wrong, like jabbing it at someone.

Dead Cruiser, you are arguing and are trying to pick a fight with me when you are in the wrong here for having something on a character that you shouldn't have had in the first place.

One- there is absolutely no way there would have been able to have had a sword of all things, especially on a Cadet. There is no way.
Two- You didn't run anything by me, you didn't even bother to throw a pm or any kind of hint whatsoever to me that there was weapons on Iskander.
And Three- 'Railroading' would be me wanting to me forcing every single thing to go my way, and so far I can guarantee you that a lot of things hasn't so don't be so blind and ignorant, and do show a little more respect not only to me, but to your fellow players as well.

<Snipped quote by Gnar The Missing Link>

Just something I really want to point out: though I can't speak for Muv-Luv (having only cursory knowledge of it), the commanders of the Framewerk project bear nearly no resemblance to any of these alleged inspirations. Gendo Ikari was not an openly sadistic megalomaniac, and both suffered and tolerated a great deal of sedition against him. Noa Bright did not have Amuro repeatedly shot, then tortured for stealing the Gundam. This is likely because they are balanced and realistic characters with reasonable goals and actions.

You also completely missed the point here... that I really think you should go back and reread what I said after that. Never once did I mention anything about the commanders- I was referring to how the cadets have a lack of power and are not supposed to have any kind of authority.

Honestly? Since I haven't really had no other complaints except from you, and from what I'm getting as the GM of this RP, it just seems like you're upset that I took away your swords, and that was your fault from the beginning and that this argument is just wanting to spiral down from there.

Edit: Sorry, but you wont be getting your swords back for the reasons I said above.

<Snipped quote by Gnar The Missing Link>

I apologize for the assumption, but given that our characters are put in command of massive, probably unbelievably expensive war machines, I figured a pair of swords were of little consequence. Despite being fancy and high-tech, they're still just swords. An adage about bringing a knife to a gunfight comes to mind. The staff obviously carry weapons (and discharge them openly), and I doubted ornamental weapons would raise much alarm.

And are our characters not allowed to do anything dangerous? Or are we immediately neutralized to being unable to direct the plot?

You forget that your characters are Cadets, rookies despite their talent without any real power.

Ever play Muv-Luv? Seen Gundam? Evangelion?

Just because they can pilot expensive and unbelievably powerful war machines, doesn't mean that they have any actual power outside of combat unless they have actually earned it. So far, the only one who has more power over the others among the Cadets is Sigma because she is Squad Leader- and her orders were no more trouble. After seeing Sigma's state, it's safe to assume that Ritsu wanted to give her a hand by doing things from a calm perspective.

Also, I never said you couldn't do anything dangerous, although there are ways to go about it without having or waving about weapons... even if they so happen to be 'ornamental'.
@Dead Cruiser

I'm curious as to how he was able to smuggle those weapons onto such a high security facility in the first place... Maybe next time you could actually run the ideas of him having weapons at all by me instead of doing it yourself and thinking it is a good idea and casually taking them out, holding them into the air in such a high surveillance facility, and then proceed to walk down a corridor in front of people expecting nothing to happen.

Consequences were bound to happen, he was lucky he wasn't shot or killed on sight.

If you think what I did was Godmodding, than I apologize, but from what I've noticed no one else thinks so, anyway knowing Iskander and his skewed perspective he'd most likely do something dangerous.

@Gnar The Missing Link Question: Can I describe Ian's new cyborg features or will you be handling that?

Hrm, I'll describe his new appearance, and you can go ahead and describe how it all feels to him and what not, how does that sound, Raijin?
