Goradh maintains his stance. "Gentlemen, ensure the doorway behind you is secure, and then seize this creature. He may be a scout for an incursion by one of our foes."

He looks down at the intruder. "As you can see, you have nowhere to run. Explain yourself, this time without blatant lies! You came here with a purpose!"
Not sure how we're supposed to call out our combat actions, but here goes:

Goradh has readied an action to use Hurling Throw if Rocket Raccoon's distant relative attempts to run down the hallway. If it attempts to move past him, well, that's just an attack of opportunity.

Your move.
Goradh towers menacingly above the strange creature. "It would be unwise to make any sudden movements," the half-orc says, poising himself to bring his axe to bear should the intruder attempt to escape.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but you're considering that Len sounded the horn without the player saying so? Just trying to get a feel for how this'll shake out going out going forward.
Goradh curses in Giant as smoke engulfs him. "Len, sound the horn! The perimeter has been breached!" The half-orc holds his breath and moves cautiously through the smoke, towards the sound of evasive feet. The last thing he needed was to step on a caltrop or to charge into a readied spear..
Goradh is using Stealth (+9 mod) to move towards the sound. If he moves more than 2 squares, he takes -5 on the check roll. He probably wouldn't be moving full speed towards it. How far away are the barrels?
Almost by instinct, Goradh holds his hand up in a fist to alert Len of the disturbance, but makes no further noise. The most successful attacks often begin with misdirection, and the ranger worries that the noise he heard was a precursor to an assault on the walls. But barrels do not shift on their own. He begins moving quietly but determined towards the noise. His left hand drifts towards one of his throwing axes...
Goradh - Perception is +9
Len - Perception is +2.

I'll try to send PDFs of our character sheets to you soon.. working on getting a free print-to-pdf program.

So the PDF thing failed.. Crucial advice is as follows:

Range 5
Trigger: Any ally within Range you can see or hear makes a skill check with a skill that you are trained in
Effect: Grant the ally the ability to reroll the result, with a power bonus equal to your Wisdom modifier (in this case, +2).
I'm trained in perception, and I have an Encounter Utility power that will Len reroll a skill check that I am trained in. I'll get my score in a few minutes.

The utility power is Useful or Helpful advice, I can't remember which. It may be DM's discretion if Len can say "wait, I think I just failed a spot check."

Lol at "whose sword was bigger"
Can you tell us what protocol exists for raising the alarm? Is it a drum, horn, torch system, or a magic effect? What about engaging an enemy after an alarm is raised? What would Goradh and Len know to do from their training?
