@FernStone - This is why it's such a godsend that she's in Lucius' company alongside Uriel and maybe Balthazar if @DJAtomika votes yay for participating in the counter-attack. The strike party would have balls, leadership, intelligence, and a mix of elemental ignition.

Regarding the Character Segments, yes, there will be updates on our main characters as well as the secondary characters, haha.
@FernStone - Oh my ... now this night is turning out to be more unexpected than we thought! Dae seems like she would be the type of person that could swing in either direction, but following Lucius and Uriel could make this an episode full of character development and interactions.

@Konica - A respectable vote and quite commendable even if Lady Heurassein maybe the only character to decline joining a maddening assault on one of the most heavily fortified spots in Voltas. We still haven't seen how the other remaining votes will pan out. Shows fortitude, steely resolve, and why the fates have placed Adrianna as the sole head owner of the Heurassein Powder Company. Much is in store for her as well as her decisions for the Heurassein Powder Company's condition after she departs into the tunnels that lead directly under the Merchant's Quarter.

@Nevis - No one knows where Conqvist is, but Episode 2 will bring his whereabouts to full circle. Uriel's involvement in the counter-attack would certainly hasten knowledge of Conqvist and some other rather interesting developments 8)

2 Votes towards the Counter Attack

@Nevis - Uriel Aryanpur - Delacroix
@FernStone - Daelynn 'Daedhel' Gabrielle L'Fevre

3 Votes undecided

@Peik - Ghazi Isfendiyar Bayqar Korkud (better known as Bahram Isfendiyar)
@DJAtomika - Balthazar Guisemere
@SkullsandSlippers - Onatha

1 Vote towards escaping to the Merchant's District

@Konica - Lady Adrianna Heurassein

@ Everyone - Interlude Segment is almost ready for posting, so you all won't need to wait long. Will also have an updated segment of the characters and locations so that there's a reference guide to the incidents as well as how everything connects. Once we have all the votes, don't hesitate to post your characters' reactions. We will be moving into the Episode 2 once you've all posted so please stay tuned 8)
@Konica - I'm glad you mentioned this, Konica. I should clarify that the characters are only as bound as far as their allegiance permits and could technically go their separate ways if they escaped into the Sewer Tunnel opening leading towards the Merchant's Quarter. This would be the most reasonable and safest course of action now that the coast is clear.

On the other hand, there's a chance to penetrate the Palais de Voltas for a high risk, high reward opportunity for the sole reason that Lucius will specify.

To clarify further, these are the options:

1) High risk, high reward strike on Palais de Voltas

2) Low risk escape into the Merchant's Quarter where everyone goes their separate ways

The pre-emptive strike seems like madness, but all will be answered in the IC!

@ Everyone - On a side note, I am nearly finished with the Interlude and will be posting relatively soon, preferably in an 1 - 8 hours. Episode 2 will begin once everyone has voted. I'm also updating the First OOC post where I can post locations and notable secondary characters to better clarify what's happened, where everything's happening, and who's who. All be answered in due time 8)
@Nevis - That's 1 in favor of the counterattack on the Palais de Voltas. We'll certainly see how Uriel will conduct himself once the survivor gathering decides on where to go!

Update

@ Everyone - In the meantime, I will be throwing up an Intermission in the IC so that we can all roleplay our characters' reactions and decision on this matter. Expect an IC post in a couple hours or tomorrow!
@Nevis - As you well know, Uriel's situation is rather delicate. His invocations have placed him in a precarious situation where he cannot simply idle outside of Richter von Conqvist's watchful authority for more than 24 hours or he is simply dead on the spot. It's the nature of dealings associated with Conqvist and how dangerous and malicious a man he is. At the very least, the narrow death eluding incidents will certainly tip Uriel's hand in how he decides to handle this situation. Does he simply escape into the tunnels leading into the Merchant's Quarter or does he decide to return to the Palais de Voltas? The choice is Uriel's and will see fruition along with all the other characters' decisions in the Intermission.

What are your thoughts, Nevis?
Well two of my characters aren't there so no decisions for Cori and Ash!

Dae though... Hmm she could go either way as in a way, again, it is deciding between Lucius and Gisgo. My gut feeling for her is following Lucius but I'll think on it over night

@FernStone - Whatever you decide, please take don't hesitate to take sometime, a fortnight or two to think on where Dae stands!

This is a good opportunity to really get back into our characters' shoes to see the aftermath in their own perspective. In the heat of this death eluding moment, what would our characters do?! This is a time in which power-mongering feudal lords may no longer hold absolute power, in the face of absolute monarchs! Additionally, the balance of power has heavily shifted as they did during the several centuries after the bloody Crusades X3
Episode 2

I left Episode 1 as undecisive so as to give you writers the ability to decide on the how Episode 2 would flesh out.

On the one hand, Lucius stepped forward towards a tunnel leading towards the Palais de Voltas while the others moved in the sewer tunnel opening leading towards the Merchant's Quarter.

The most logical course of action is to escape into the Merchant's Quarter where the group can decide on where to lay low, but depending on each character's personality, values, and perspectives there's a chance for the members to split off and join Lucius for a possible counter-attack on the Palais de Voltas.

The choice is in the hands of the writers and either decision will have serious repercussions on the story's future ...

Please list your thoughts and decisions on where you believe your characters will take Episode 2!
@Konica - Sorting through information that as we speak, will have major faction and secondary character updates by tomorrow or Saturday. For now, you will be able to find information on the first OOC post or this link:

Current Faction Information Link

@FernStone - I like the fact that we can change text colors and size along with having an edit, quote, and mention function. I come from a bare-basics, old school, defunct roleplaying forum that did not even have an edit button. Once you posted, everything was final. Yeahhhh ... those were the days ... and lairddd ... I'm now talking like an old timer even though I'm not even that old!!

@SkullsandSlippers - Good to see you here, Skulls 8). All valid points considering how far we've come and now that we're starting the next episode, the new updates will supply all the information about factions, locations, incidents, and important characters

@Konica - News on the changes are listed below. As for the Sororitas, they appeared in the beginning and end of the episode and unintentionally became a way to establish and end Episode 1. It began with Fern and Ivory Shadows and sort of culminated into ... ah ... how should I call it ... an unexpected literary pregnancy that involved a prolonged literary one night stand where one of the writers got cold feet? (No offense intended @FernStone given it was Ivory that bawled out X-P) The end result involved the Sororitas taking a back seat, which was sort of like literary child custody coming into picture.

The Order of St. Melitas may yet play a part in this next episode and if you're at all interested in a Melitan sister character, you are more than welcome to share your thoughts here. We'll work something out and see if we can draw a couple connections 8)

@Everyone - The Updates will be a bit lengthy and I'm working on them as we speak so there's going to be quite a plethora of information. I'll have the information posted on the First OOC Post so that it's easily accessible for all.

Here is an updated bullet-points list for the story

Updated List

- We've got an amazing writer-player cast, so thank you for coming this far
- Titanpad links for all the collaborative pads with References to all the Factions, Important Characters, Incidents, and Historical Events
- More discussions about Characters and Collaborations here in the OOC
- More Frequent Posts while retaining Quality without massive 10 paragraph pieces
- More Sophisticated Combat Opportunities that both integrate and avoid bogging down the Story
- Political Elements that work in conjunction with the Periodic Combat Scenes
- Clearer Narratives
Hey Konica, glad you could join us! With new episodes come fresh new meat and potatoes ... and we all love meat and potatoes, yeah? We have to a lot to work with and more to chew on as we let the characters grow and mature. The new updates, overhauls, and references will help out a lot with reacquainting everyone with the story and I'll open to hearing suggestions. We'll be moving very soon because I do have the episode ready for viewing; just gotta overhaul this out-dated OOC.

I'll also be inputting something in the Advanced Interest section so we can get new blood!
