Kat frowned as he spoke, he sure did look a lot like her Granddad. If only he was wearing big round glasses he would be just the same. "People PLAN for this? I guess they must be pretty clever." Kat said, shuffling a little closer to get a closer look at what lay beyond the door on the ground. Kat couldn't help but grin slightly at the old man as he smiled at her. However Kat still shuffled awkwardly at his questioning, James had always warned her that no one could be trusted, and she should always be extra careful with other survivors who might try and rob her. "Um, well actually I'm travelling with my 6 brothers from the Army. They are just busy right now but they will be here soon." She said calmly, her lack of parenting over the last 2 years had made it surprisingly easy to make the lie seem normal.

Kat felt hot tears prickling behind her eyes, the stress of the day and her situation building up rapidly. She blinked them away before they split over onto her cheeks, and puffed out her shoulders and chest even more, trying to look bigger and braver than she was. In reality all that could be seen was a scrawny, skinny little person, with short dirty hair, and the constant, determined grimace that survivors seemed to carry. Although it looked almost comical on her childish face, Kat was determined she would survive. And she would find James.
No sorry, that was my bad. I didn't understand Esailia's post and because she spoke about Zeo in second person I thought she had created a character called Zeo.
Your post was good, but it really confused me.. How would your character know Zeo's name anyway?
The sights on Kats gun centred over a scruffy beard, human eyes looked towards her. Kat felt like screaming and crying all at once, but she held back. Tightening her awkward grip on the rifle, she shuffled forward slightly so she could see who was there. She sucked in a big breath of air and tried to sound as grown up as possible, "Hey! I- I've a got a gun! Who are you?" to her dismay the big strong voice she'd been hoping for was more of a jagged, stuttering whimper. The person in the door was an old man, he looked like santa, only dirty and tired and old. His voice was deep and husky, sort of growly just like her granddads. He raised his hands, they were empty, just like he promised. Slowly Kat pushed the gun behind her, it nestled in its usual spot between her shoulder blades. Pushing back her shoulders and puffing out her chest, she stood up and stepped out from behind the bin. She was poised and ready to run, for a 7 year old Kat was pretty fast, and she knew she could beat this old man if she needed too. He hand nervously clutching the switchblade pocket knife hidden inside her jack, she took another step out of the shadows towards the man. Smiling excitedly at the sight of the first human aside from James she'd seen since the Scaries had come, Kat asked, "So.. why is your door on the ground of that hole?"
Just noticed two characters called Zeo in the IC atm, and it appears that one of them is on quite a different timescale to the rest of us. :P
Sophia actually took a moment to decide, she actually didn't want to be left alone, but at the same time, having Andre here would be a little bit weird.
"Oh um, its up to you really.. What do you usually do? Do you need recharging?" Sophia flustered, her cheeks blushing a shade pinker. She pulled the duvet over herself and rested her head on the arm of the couch. "Just.. Suit yourself Andre." She said, giving him a little smile. This is ridiculous, stop treating him like he has an opinion, he is a robot for christs sake Sophia! Pull yourself out of it!
Emily frowned, maybe Bonnie had protective parents too, and didn't let her do much. After all, It had taken awhile to convince Emily's mother to let her join the swimming team, she'd been all protective about "swimsuits" and "being too provocative", so Emily wore one of the more covered suits when her mum was around, but slipped on her bikini when she had the chance to sneak it past her mum. Emily took a big bite of her chicken wrap, and chewed thoughtfully, amused by Bonnies comment. "Really? You know, I thought I'd be terrible at making friends! I don't want to sound stuck up, but at my old school I was a bit more popular, and so I didn't have to worry about it. I never end thought about it to be honest. Now that I've come here I feel totally out of place..."
Emily stuck with her chicken wrap, it looked manageable. She gave the blueberry muffin another glance over before plonking it on her tray. Oh what the hell, I'm hungry. She thought, ignoring the advice from the sports nutritionist at her swim team. Walking over to the cash register, Emily looked over her shoulder at Bonnie. "Bookworm? I have a hard time staying focused on books, I never make it to the end." She giggled a bit, she hadn't actually attempted to read a book since English last year, where she had given up and borrowed the note from some of her more nerdy friends. "So aside from books, what else do you do? ... I mean, what hobbies do you have?" Emily smiled.
Sophia yawned, and glanced at the bed. She didn't really feel comfortable sleeping in the bed her aunt had slept in. She didn't know if the sheets had been changed, or worse, if her aunt died in it. She noticed a duvet folded over the back of a arm chair, grabbing it, she pulled it over to the couch in the adjoining lounge. "So, what was the purpose of giving you human emotions?" As Sophia thought about the question she asked, she realised the gravity of it, robots were perfect because they didn't have emotion, emotion was humans flaw. Why would someone program humans greatest flaw into a machine?

"Ok well.. I'm going to bed now.. There are a couple of things that need doing since I'm going to be living her for awhile. We need fresh groceries, the house and store needs cleaning, we need to take inventory and reopen the store.." She trailed off, another yawn interrupting her list. "We can start tomorrow morning I supposed...." She flopped onto the couch, her bare legs flipping into the air as she plonked on her back.
Emily laughed, actually genuinely laughed, for what seemed like the first time since she'd been told she was coming here. "Nope, no karate skills here! I actually did take taekwondo for awhile, but I quit to do swimming." Emily smiled at herself, she loved sports, but she could never find one that stuck, it seemed like she'd tried everything.

"Of course I wouldn't laugh, those girls are just idiotic, here I was thinking we're in senior college and the girls still act like twelve year olds." Emily smiled at Bonnie, then frowned at the selection of desserts at the lunch bar. "So.. it that chocolate mousse or black pudding? It kinda looks like its moving by itself.." She said jokingly, the pudding dessert really did look pretty terrible. Instead Emily opted for a blueberry muffin, hoping that even a school lunch bar couldn't ruin that too much.
