Hayasori Mansion Remnants
8 years had gone by. The ruins of the mansion they had lived in were withering away.
Not only had it been reduced to only the foundations, which were still huge, mind you, but also time had taken its toll on the place.
A wall was still standing, at the very least, and there were some remains of the second floor at the back of what used to be a house, perfect for sheltering someone, anyone, from the unforgiving rain.
Despite the pitiful state in which the house found itself in, they were still guided here for some reason or other.
Nostalgia, trying to close cycles, merely paying their respects to a grave without bones. Reasons could vary, but something was for sure.
In the end, they were all here. The four Ghouls that had met each other as children now found themselves again, facing each other.
Even if they didn't remember their faces, or if they were wearing their masks, it was easy to determine who they were. Nobody came to this forsaken place anymore, after all.
Isori was the first to arrive. She was wearing her old high school uniform, a white blazer, a black skirt and thigh high stockings. She kept her hair in the same fashion she had for a while now, short but with two long strands of it falling down her shoulders.
She was feeling nostalgic, after all. Something had made her enroll into the college here in the 5th ward. Namely, the doves, but that was not really important. At least not right now.
After a year of having lived as a ghoul, Isori had finally taken into the fact that she could only eat humans flesh. Or Ghoul flesh, but that was icky.
She wondered if the old man that had cared for them felt the same every time he saw her eating meat? Thinking it would be so much better if he didn't have to kill to eat. What about the others?
Yeah, that was a good question. What about the others?
Where were they? What were they doing? What did they do with their lives after they parted ways? Would they even remember her, recognize her, as she was now?
After exploring some more, and as she was about to venture forward in the only roofed part of what was left of this mansion, she heard something.
Someone was approaching, and they weren't being subtle about it.
A dove? A ghoul? A simple human wondering what she was doing there? It could be any of the above.
Regardless, Isori was quick to turn around and face them, still making sure her kakugan did not surface, just in case it was a human after all.
She never really did expect that the one that was going to be there was someone who had a nostalgic feeling to them.
One of her 'siblings'. Something just told her that that was the case, even if they were hardly recognizable any longer.
Still, she wanted to be sure. No, she needed to be sure. If they weren't, well, they smelled an awful lot like a Ghoul. What was a ghoul even doing here?
"Hello!" She said, chipper as ever.
"What are you doing here? And who are you? Ah, I'm Ayakishi Isori, if you were wondering." She smiled.
Hopefully, it wouldn't devolve into a fight.
