Cinders lay among brittle sticks and dry leaves, slowly the gave way under the heat and caught flame. Flaring up more than they had reason to, smoke curling up licking the tops of great pine trees. From the flame stepped Trick, fire no longer surrounding him. He looked around, trees as far as his eye could see. Tall green towers many feet above him, a once beautiful grove now set aflame. Ashes all that was left of the beautiful multi-colored flowers, the grass no longer lush and green instead it became crisp and black. The fire slowly settled until it was reduced to no more than a smoldering pile of dirt. Trick leaned up against a nearby tree, examining his wounds. His arm cut from wrist up to his shoulder, he conjured a hot focused beam of fire; melting the skin together. With the wound cauterized he had more pressing matters to look towards. Firstly how to get out of this forest, he knew he was close to his camp site but without the moon it was difficult to find his way.
Trick wandered and eventually found his make-shift camp, a clearing containing a red leather tent set beneath a black tarp. The remains of a camp fire now long extinguished sat forlorn in the center of the area. His supplies strewn about the campsite, another mask propped against the tent. Trick felt tired after wandering the woods for so long, and decided it was time to rest. He crawled inside his tent, only a sleeping roll inside. He fell down on top if it not bothering to cover himself, thinking happy thoughts of burning the two hunters and their whore to cinders; he closed his eyes and waited for sleep to claim him.
