I have no clue. I got stuck in rank 49 out of my Promos and that was luckily like right when Ranked came out so it was all over the place rank wise. I got a winstreak up to 54 where I was stuck for a good week on a constant win then lose then win then lose kinda deal. Eventually I just somehow got a big enough win streak to get to where I am now.

I'd say believe, but with how things are in Overwatch, you just gotta queue with 5 others cause relying on even two randoms can lose you a game even if you played amazingly.

I think I watched a YouTube video explaining this. A guy with really good game sense, decent aim, and objective play was stuck in the low 40s because he could never get a good team who communicated via mics or even just chat. His stats were great, showed good team play, but it just... You know... No team to take advantage of that. So he's stuck down there.

But yeah, solo queue is hell for getting out of the mid to low 40s. I'd find a lotta people willing to play competitive to get you outta there.

Edit: I remember now. I got outta the high forties because these 5 others after we stomped a match were like "HEY YOU ALL WANNA QUEUE TOGETHER ILL INVITE YOU ALL" and that got me to 54 where I could solo queue where all I had to worry about was myself and how I was playing.

[ ◊ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y For awhile, not many people knew Remy in any other way than what he allowed beyond the reserved demeanor he had firmly placed. An air of disinterest dissuaded quite a lot of folks, presuming his own nature came from a snobby upbringing. For a muggleborn kid, Remy could match utter superiority with the best of the purists in the wizarding world. At least, that's what a lot of people assumed. Remy hadn't given much thought to turn any opinions around; he felt no need to, at the very least. For people, it's easiest to see what people give if they've no intention of overstepping the stranger/acquaintance line. And Remy - well, Remy liked to make things easier for others, even if the trade off never evened out. Most of what he's dealt, he takes in stride because, like his grandmother always told him, "Appreciation is an easy gift, that many people forget to give."

That selfless nature only goes so far, though. Remy has a nasty streak a mile wide and one that's far more righteous than just any old prankster. His reservation keeps him from standing up for others in the thick of things and, should he not have such a strict outlook on morality, Remy likely would have made for a wonderful Slytherin. Because, if there's any way to deal with a problem in Remy's eyes, it's in the most nefarious, underhanded way he could possibly think of. Remy's vindictiveness tends to go a step too far and his own justifications even further. Teachers, authority, they take too long to get things done - if something's going wrong, he'll make it right and if he can't do that, vengeance is only a step away.

Fuck the rules, that's why.

Even in spite of this, Remy refuses anything petty - which is a difficult measure, considering. They'll get their just deserts, but that's it; once the job gets done, it's done. Things need to step over a certain boundary before Remy decides it's worth it to dole out needed justice. And only if that assists in the matter, instead of worsening it. Which, sure, it's very difficult to gauge, especially in the heat of anger and Remy has made his fair share of mistakes - too many times - but even then, Remy isn't there for a philosophy lesson. Things become black and white fairly quickly in a mess like that and it's hard not to judge actions meticulously. But, Remy doesn't believe in hurting people, or even proving them wrong. It's a lot harder to open a person's eyes to their own wrong doings, especially when letting the vindictive edge of his mind take over, but in the long run, it's worth it and he feels it brings about the most change, in general. Cause that's what matters - not bravery, or ambition, or knowledge, but change for the better and possibly other hippy garbage.

Okay, so maybe he can be a bit petty. Sue him.

Regardless, Remy personifies a great deal of Hufflepuff's many qualities aside from his own diligence. He works just enough to get by and doesn't feel the need to overachieve, to the point he can get quite stubborn over it. Though quiet, after the first few minutes of his silence and a little willingness to understand, his presence fills a great deal of comfort and respect. And that's a lot of what Remy tries to achieve: respect and politeness often go farther than people think. Sometimes, however, Remy seems far too clinical and efficient for his own good and that's another reason strangers tend to find him callous, cold, and see him trying to sit a league higher than others.

[ ◊ ] A P P E A R A N C E As pictured. Remy poses a small build, standing at 6'2", with lean toned muscles - athletic, in nature. His hair's a mess of dirty blonde and amber flecked, green eyes.

[ ◊ ] B A C K G R O U N D A dynasty. That's what his parents liked to call their family. Far from an actual dynasty, the Halls come from a long line of old money garnered through, mainly, a long list of scientific discoveries and inventions. Remington's immediately family, a father and mother (Landon and Maeve, respectively), held onto the family business rather closely - at the moment, they settled in the chief export of, well, vacuums. Not necessarily grand scientific discoveries, but one can't blame their grandparents for their own ambitions, even if the cousins discovered a number of new antibiotics that fought 'super germs' or whatever they called it. Better quality of life, in both ways, the others just happened to actually save lives. Whatever. Didn't matter. They still made lots of money.

Settled in the midst of London, Remington grew up having discovered his talent early. Apparently, as the witch who personally gave him his Hogwarts invitation explained, his great-great-great-great grandfather had been a wizard - Timothy Halls, who first designed an electric toothbrush and made a fortune out of selling the patent, the fortune staid, the brush, however, was considered extremely faulty and didn't make it to store shelves. His parents took this news in stride, nodding and humming in understanding as if it didn't blow their minds. It did. It freaked them out beyond all measure, but most of the Halls remained steadfastly stubborn and often faked a good deal of their own knowledge.

Lucky enough, Remington attended Hogwarts having missed most of the Second Wizarding War. A lot of older students, however, didn't mind sharing a few stories with him. Remington never pushed, knowing, even at a young age, what the distance in their eyes meant and the twisting expression distorting their face often clued him in that some things just weren't meant to be shared. He did learn of a number of his cousins that attended Hogwarts during those frightful years and once he'd reached a suitable age, a few tasked themselves with giving him a number of info their families hid. Those cousins he'd missed, the ones that used to live in Dublin, hadn't in fact died in a car accident and during a family reunion, he discovered that many of his cousins' shared school hadn't actually suffered from a devastating sewer accident.

After awhile, a lot of things became very apparent to Remington. The world he'd somehow found himself in was slowly on its way to recovery - the dullness, the brokenness of everything seemed odd in a place full of magic. Yet, after finally understanding, Remington knew exactly why a grey cloud hung over most of Hogwarts. Coming from such a hoity-toity family and being raised as such, Remington should have felt a sense of entitlement. A magical world should have been bright and positive; it should have catered to his whimsy, at least. Maybe that's why the hat sorted him into Hufflepuff - he couldn't see a reason for an attitude, unless it helped others. In this case, and in many cases, it wouldn't.

Most of Remington's later years in Hogwarts had him volunteering for many odd jobs around the school. From assisting in the rebuilding a few wings that needed a final touch up, to going out of his way to find low-stocked ingredients for potions and herbology. Whatever the school board posted, Remington often took initiative. Assisting with trivial things and doing important jobs seemed like the right thing to do and, eventually, it put him in rather good standing with a number of the teachers and even a few outside sources. He'd networked without actually realizing it.

Not only that, Remington kind of made a name for himself running around and surprising people not only with his willingness to help, but also his well-hidden vendettas. Many other students couldn't exactly pinpoint when, where, and who did what, but a lot of them had their suspicions. If a number of kids came out drenched from the bathroom after picking on Moaning Myrtle just an hour ago, they often cast wary gazes toward Remington who happened to have to used said restroom just seconds after. He'd always shrug and walk away without a word, but the evidence piled up and Remy never made any denials about such accusations. The further along in the year, the less care he had for concealing his antics and it became more of a task not to actively get in trouble than to actually find a group of jerks to get back at.

Luckily, he graduated Hogwarts with only a few days in detention nearing the end of his seventh year. Well, he may have also gotten nearly expelled before a teacher was able to turn that around to week suspension. That's a story he wouldn't like to recount, but they did expel the right kid, afterwards. Other than that, he hasn't had many incidents that would warrant immediate attention and he's done rather well adjusting to his new found life.

[ ◊ ] A S P I R A T I O N S Coming into the Wizard World without an official background left Remy with not a lot of options. Or, at least, not many apparent ones. He didn't quite find it necessary to ask for assistance, mostly out of his own stubbornness, and slight embarrassment for his own situation. However, in the recent years Remy has looked into much of Magical Britain's history, specifically its wars. It further inspired him to achieve a number of things that he's hoping to narrow down with this immediate trip. Right now, he's hoping he might have it in him to become a magistrate and if not that, then either a teacher at Hogwarts, or some kind of historian - the Wizarding World's past intrigues him and he's hoping he can either change the future for the better, or at least document what he can for better learning. He doesn't quite know if his blood status bars him from any of these careers, though and he's not willingly to actively find out, yet.

[ ◊ ] H O U S E Hufflepuff

[ ◊ ] A C A D E M I C  R E C O R D While Remington didn't exactly excel in academics, he made a slightly above average mark in most of his classes and exams. Most of his O.W.L.s he'd passed (with a few only barely) though he came out of Transfiguration with a hard fail and just barely skimming by the hairs of his ass on Ancient Runes. His N.E.W.T. went fairly better, having mostly taken Charms, Herbology, Potions, Muggle Studies, and Care for Magical Creatures. Despite knowing how to fly fairly decently, Remy never tried out for Quidditch - his flying has suffered for it through the years.

Most of Remington's records show a decent level of intelligence, though he seems far too spread out in many of his skills and requires a deeper level of focus for a specific career he intends to pursue. Right now, that's looking towards Charms, something he quite excelled at more so than other talents. Whether he's looking to pursue a specific career that utilizes this depends on Remington and possibly his year abroad.
