O.o Having family members who live IN his household has some potential for some interesting situations, since Correctors can't tell ANYONE that they exist and even though he's got that nightshift job his income would be totally suspicious. I'm excited to see how it works out. :) I like the new names for the traits, they sound a lot better now. BTW, how old is his sister?

@NeoAC Alright, lemme start off by saying that I LOVE the idea of music as a weapon in a world that runs off of music. I might have this next part completely wrong but, I don't think that all of the threats in the DgtWld exist outside of the DgtWld. I think that there are also a lot of viruses that need to be fought, so maybe if your music acted as a more physical blast than just high frequency sound?

@Anonymous@AliceinRedHeels I think his personality is fine. Its like, he has this façade of being this scary guy, while being a kindred spirit on the inside. I don't see how that's too deviant. We could definitely use an intimidating guy who is actually really normal and likes to have a good time. I think we should give him a weapon that suits his personality like maybe rapiers. Rapiers are nice and quick weapons, I think it'd be good for an agile harlequin-esque fighting style.

Why do you like to write/RP: I’ve just always liked the idea of creating a character and giving them a story to tell. I’m a pretty stale person in real life, so filling a character feels natural to me, like it becomes my identity while I’m writing for them.

+ Adventurous: Kiku is not afraid to step outside of her comfort zone from time to time, convincing her that it’s worthwhile is a whole other issue.

+ Confident: Kiku doesn’t know the meaning of shame and a bolstering self-confidence keeps her from falling down after failure, though she may not be quick to try it again.

+ Courteous: While Kiku has her quirks, she’s not without social graces. She won’t tidy her apartment if she knows someone is coming over; but, she’ll do her best to make them feel at home, in what little ways she can.

The Yukimura family was an upper-middle class family of five; Kiku’s father made his living as a corporate drone and her mother was a leading journalist for the Tokyo Shinbun. Together they had three children: Kiku was the oldest (born 2001) and her younger twin brother and sister, Aoi and Akane (born 2014). They lived a peaceful, domestic life, with all of the affordable luxuries of their times – including the first wave of DgtWld-compatible cell phones. Modeled after older flip phones that had dominated the Japanese mobile market, Kiku’s first phone was an absolute marvel of modern technology.

Her phone tapped into her life force, man and machine had become one. Unbeknownst to Kiku, she was one of the first people in the world made compatible to a radical new life in the DgtWld. She could move freely over the entire world, from the comfort of her room. As Kiku immersed herself more and more in the DgtWld, she became further detached from her real-world responsibilities. Her grades took a sharp decline and her parents were taking note of her further reclusiveness.

Kiku was hard-pressed by her parents to take part in some kind of club or sport. Though her interests were few and far between, Kiku finally settled down and joined a manga club – where she could appease her parents and still spend her days doing next-to-nothing. As the DgtWld became more and more pervasive during her high school years and as crime rates were dropping dramatically, she took to aimlessly wandering around the districts of Tokyo in her time outside of school and exploring the DgtWld.

When Kiku had graduated, she was bottom of her class, though she shrugged it off. After school she took up temp work as a courier for a few years – bicycling through the streets of Tokyo, carrying packages between large corporate offices, bureaucracies and popular media outlets. Though she might not have been as fast as her co-workers, she caught the eye of the Gvn for her long-term experience with the DgtWld and her discreet work in parceling for the Gvn on occasion and when she turned twenty they gave her a call and made her a Corrector.

Kiku was more than happy to become a Corrector, the high pay meant good food, a nice apartment, and a steady flow of alcohol – all for what seemed like extremely light work. Though it might not have been all that light, it was definitely a better gig than pedaling through the crowded streets of Tokyo. Having only been a corrector for a year, however, Kiku is likely the most junior of her group and not yet fully-adjusted to Correction. She’s a lot less reserved now than she was before her employment, largely because of the close-knit relationship of the Correctors.

@Genkai Yeah, I can totally move spells around, I had to tweak the exertion requirements while making the spells so I probably just overlooked something :P I'm going to leave the fists as low level though, but make them one time use like the shields She's probably not selfless, not entirely. Under like the right circumstances she might do something like that, but not all of the time. And uh, I could move her up to 22 too. Is uni an absolute necessity? I wasn't planning on having her have school after high school >.<

Okay, so yeah, Kiku is her given name. I guess it gets a bit confusing considering that surnames usually come first in Japanese and there's like no consensus on which order it should go. I added a few spells that would work with her being the youngest of the bunch as well as an explanation of how I'm going to work in exertion. I got rid of the weapon traits and put in descriptions of spells to better explain what I was going for. The idea is now that she has skills to protect herself and deal damage, but she can only do one at a time. Being a jack of all trades was more about how she develops new spells, she doesn't choose offense over defense or vice versa, but that means that she can't develop high level skills unless she decides that offense is more important than defense (or vice versa). I'm going to see how the RP goes before she decides which is more important. I tweaked her laziness to make it more like "I don't have anything I want to do, hit me up whenever" instead of "I don't want to do anything, don't bother me" Her recklessness is more putting herself at risk than anyone else, so I think Gvn can give it a slide and she definitely doesn't drink while on duty. She's less reserved than before she joined, mostly because of the closeness of the Correctors. I put that at the end of her back story. Sorry for making an edgy loner character. XP I wrote it half-asleep and it definitely didn't sound that fun this morning. I also changed her corrector portrait. Will add more spells through roleplay as the need arises.
