OKAY! slowpoke is back in action! I'm gonna be working on that post now. If anybody wants to interact with my poor battered and brusied Marzipan please feel free, she's a little off ballance right now. Quite literally LOL
Get up! Get Up! Get UP!
With agonizing slowness Marzipan felt herself regaining consciousness, almost as agonizing as the pain that suffused her being as she became more aware of her body and it's state. Only the underlying feeling of panic and relentless urgency kept her from returning to the relief of oblivion...

No time! You have to... You have to... It's so important! You must go and..."
With the fading sense of urgency she found the will to move just a little, only to regret the motion instantly as the pain sent waves radiating through her. Moaning, she tried to flinch away from the hands she felt upon her person, a flair of panic cutting through the pain. The pain was doing its part in waking her up. However, the more she became aware, the more the feelings that urged her on slipped away...

The more everything slipped away.

"Uhng," Marzipan groaned as she sat up, the room dipping and swimming about her in a stomach churning fashion. Closing her eyes, she reached her hand to the back of her head- feeling it burn and ache- and when she looked at her hand next it was red with her blood, "Huh."

Finally she looked about at her surroundings, taking in the carnage, the people moving about, and the people who would never move again. She looked to the woman whom was crying on the couch, the girls around her and the dangerous looking men picking their way over bodies, waiting for any shred, any flicker of recognition...

There was none to be had. She did not know any of these people. She did not know where she was. Why she had come here. She did know she had a concussion. Although she did not remember how. And that it had been important that she had come here. Was important. Still important. It had to have been, or else why would she have come? Why would she have risked bodily harm and be injured so?

"Ow." She said eloquently, and a complete understatement as to how she felt. She felt like she'd gotten the bad end of a brawl, and sending a glance to the state of her knuckles, maybe she had. She wouldn't know.

Name-Marzipan Hazelmead

Age- 25

Race- Human

Gender- Female

Personality- Friendly and charismatic while having a hotheaded temper and a stubborn streak. She is a take charge, no nonsense kinda woman in most things, while also knowing there is a time and a place for fun and relaxation and is no stranger to having a good time. She can lend a sympathetic ear while at the same time be able to hold her own against most men twice her size.

Skills- Skilled at lifting full kegs, breaking up bar fights, and dodging unwanted pinches. She's an excellent judge of character and talented at reading body language. She can disappear into a crowded or command a room and is comfortable being the center of attention. She knows her limits and is no stranger to giving directions, and can become a good leader in a pinch if there is no better option available.

Appearance-

Other:
Marzipan has sustained a blow to the head, and remembers little more than her name.
While she may not remember she was formerly a Tavern Wench.
I'm Still here! And i'm still interested in this RP! I hope i'm not too late to join in. I'm a bit of a slowpoke poster these days cause of college things, but i always have time to squeeze out a post or three a few times a week.

@SpookySquid I'm totally okay with my character having amniesia or just forgetting all the major things about the world. Could be part of her character arc here yeah? Redescovering who she is or where she's from? Anyways I can quickly tweek her charactersheet and have it posted in a jiffy.
Awwww MAN!I am super sorry to hear that.

Take care and work hard with your collage Escha. I'll be here if you ever want to pick things up again, or maybe want to start something new entirely. A 1v1 just for us. Even if you just get the bug to bite you again, and you post something MONTHS from now, i'd still be cool with continueing at an extreamly slower pace.

But whichever works for you, works for you so dont worry about it Escha.

Viva sniffled and wiped her eyes as she tried to pull herself back together while also trying to eat the chocolate quickly and savor it at the same time. Noah ran a tight ship and didn't see much cause for lingering groundside if it wasn't for a job. Viva often wondered if he felt vulnerable on land, she certainly got antsy after a while, but still it was nice to take some R&R and go shopping... it had been far too long since she'd enjoyed something as nice as real chocolate.

"So whats his name?" Loire asked, looking over at Valko. "And yours for the matter, we sorta skipped the introductions what with you kidnapping me and all."

"Right, right," She said chuckling wetly, "Sorry again. About that."
"My name is Viva," She continued, gesturing with the half eaten candy bar, "Viva Crux. And he's Val-er Valko really. He doesn't really care for strangers calling him that, though he may make an acception with you saving his life and all. Or he might try and insist that you call him The Wolf. Its some stupid nickname thing he and Noah came up with as kids. You'd think they'd of grown out of it by now, but they take it super seriously so just- ya know- forget I ever brought that up."

She took another bite out of the candy bar, closing her eyes as she chewed and rolled the sweet chocolate in her mouth.

"You have any idea when your captain might drop me off ... or throw me out the airlock if that's the alternative?" he asked.

"Oh you don't really, you- Noah wouldn't," She stopped to swallow turned to look at the doctor earnestly, "Look, you don't know Noah all that well, but I wasn't kidding when I said that you'd earned kudo points for saving Val..."

"I'm not gonna say it's an empty threat," Viva continued looking away to where her brother's chest continued to rise and fall, "Noah- both he and Val- they'd do a lot of things if they think something's a threat... But for now, I'd say you don't have to worry about an airlock. Noah can be a reasonable guy."

"But it's safe to say that as long as I'm at the helm of the Lucidae there will be nobody throwing anybody out of the airlock on my watch," She gave the doctor a short smile that was edging towards impishness, "After all, I know all the override codes."

Stuffing the last bite into her mouth she stood up, "As far as dropping you off, that might be a while."

She gave her brother one last lingering look, reaching over to give his unwounded arm a short squeeze before making for the door, "Come on Doc. I'll give you the grand tour and find you a place to bunk before I go and kick Noah out of my chair."

Spud buddy, now that I am properly rested and not on the virge of a meltdown I can honestly tell you that your post is perfect. Of course, even on an off day for you you post at lightning speeds, but i could not tell if there was any dip in quality. Same beautiful Spud Post. As always.

Perfect Post. Perfect Characters. Perfect RP. Perfect. Lol

I'm working on a post for you now, I'll try to move things along a bit, and I think after this next exchange we can have a teensy timeskip to where Valko wakes up. Maybe we can have a lil crewdrama or maybe they get hailed by the feds and have to stash everything real quick... Or MAYBE Viva and Val's folks send them a wave, just a checkup call and we get their responce to Val's injuries and stuff! Lol that would me more of a character development arch or whatever, before we get to The Drop Off Point which would be our next big action bit.

Any other ideas you might have that we could do while they're cruzing through space?

Also! I've been having fun thinking of what the place they are going to for the drop off is called and I need some help picking one SO! Here they are:

- Space Port 241 (such an original name, i know but it is subtly sugesstive lol)
- Uncalled 4 (bit of a streach but its SPACE some times a name just sticks even if it sucks)
- Chronos II (again subtle but a bit grander than a shady drugdeal on the downlow)

(I might add more. Its too fun)

I had a sucky day today, which was probably sucky cause yesterday sucked so much. Leftover sucking.

So writting Viva getting emotionally overwelmed was kinda cathartic.

Aka: I cried. But thats a good thing right? lol

Viva rolled her eyes at Noah behind his back, as he left to go man the ship. He'd only end up doing what doing what she would have done, watching stars and empty space slip by and tweaking dials and making the minor course adjustments that would only really matter in the long run, and she never left the helm long enough for the Luce to drift too far off course.

"He's quite the captain isn't he." he said casually, his calmness appeared to be unshakeable, then again, Viva didn't really know him, didn't know his fears, his weak points.

"He has his moments," She said noncommittally as she watched her brother's chest rise and fall. He looked like shit, pale and clammy with dark circles around his eyes, but his breathing was coming clear and the tiny heart monitor they had was making strong repetitive beeps. Now wasn't the time to reminisce on the complicated relationship that made up her crew, her family. Which Noah was apart of even if she thought he was an ass most of the time. Even if he didn't think he was himself.

"Here, you'll need some sugar it will stop you feeling so dizzy after losing that pint of blood. Sorry I didn't think of it sooner. Take a seat, you're looking a little faint." he said pulling out a chair for Viva to sit in beside Valko's bed.

Viva took the offered seat with a grateful nod and a weary sigh, her eyes not leaving her brothers form as that tight ball of anxiousness slowly eased a fraction as the reality began to sink in with equal slowness. Stars abound, this had been a close one... when she got some rest and stopped feeling like she'd keel over from exhaustion and relief both she was going to be royally pissed off at her brother for scaring her like this. Right now she was just grateful that he was alive, and would get well enough to experience the full brunt of her wrath.

"You don't need to worry, he'll be fine, I promise you." he said genuinely.

"Thanks," She said, finally looking up at him as she took the offered bar, her lips crooked into a weak smile as her eyes pricked. His earnest tone was getting to her, his reassurance- his promise that Val would pull through easing knots that had her eyes threatening to well over. She looked away, blinking hard and fiddling with the edges of the wrapper as she resumed her vigil.

"Though I won't promise that he'll be back on his feet running into bullets again anytime soon, not that I'd recommend it ... the running into bullets that is." he added.

"Heh," Viva chuckled despite herself, unwrapped the candy bar distractedly, "Knowing him it'll be sooner than you'd like. Damn idiot doesn't know when to not pick a fight."

"Thank you by the way ... For not wanting to toss me out the airlock." he smiled a little, amused.

"Well I did get you into this mess," She said, a touch amused and a little bit surprised that he was thanking her, " I mean, I didn't really give you much of choice in the matter, what with practically kidnapping you and everything. Sorry about that by the way... "

"I'm the one who should be thanking you," She continued, realizing as she spoke that she was babbling and on the verge of either tears or hysterical laughing and couldn't quite manage to stop herself, "You didn't have to save him but you did. So the least I can do is keep you from getting tossed out the airlock. I mean, how rude is that?"

Giving up, she stuffed the bar into her mouth- only realizing it was real, actual chocolate the moment it hit her tongue. The delicious cocoa, melty from her hands manhandling it in the wrapper, and fluffy nougat with what could only be sweet caramelized sugar overwhelmed her tastebuds that had been expecting some space preserved, imitation chocolate mock-bar.

"Oh my god, this is real chocolate," She said with her mouth full, her hand covering her mouth as her eyes welled over with the tears that had been threatening for a while, looking at the doc like he'd given her the moon, "This is so good."
