But his father, who is a soldier, left him at his early age, his father died on one of his missions. His mother was diagnosed with a disease and now hospitalized and bed bound. As the eldest child of his the family, he acted as the bread winner and the parent, but his salary from his side jobs is not enough to sustain his family's needs and medicine for his mother. One day, his friend discovered his potentials in using VR-battle bots he gave him a battle watch and sent him to Toshira Academy. Now he's aiming to win the regional, knowing that it has a large amount of cash price that can help to sustain his family needs and bring his mother out of hospital.

Lind raised his sword, an orange blinding light shone on its edge. "This skill..." He yelled as he jumped toward the monster, and twisted midair with his blade pointed in front of him, gliding toward Kuma. The attack made contact with the monster, orange sparks were produced by the contact. "Tornado slash!"
The green bar over the monster's head shrunk and turned into yellow bar, remaining only 75% of hp.
" You never failed me Noah." He spoke as he grinned to Noah. "But before that, We should crush this beast first."
Lind raised his sword, an orange blinding light shone on its edge. "This skill..." He yelled as he jumped toward the monster, and twisted midair with his blade pointed in front of him, gliding toward Kuma. The attack made contact with the monster, orange sparks were produced by the contact. "Tornado slash!"
The green bar over the monster's head shrunk and turned into yellow bar, remaining only 75% of hp.
Kuma prepared for his counter attack, his talons grew larger and sharper and he was about to jab his large paws to Lind, but before the attack made contact to Lind, he quickly raised his blade hoping to block the attack. But the strong attack penetrated through his guard, although it was still counted as a parry, making the green bar above his head reduced by 45%.
"Dammit! I can't believe it! It's a parry but it still made that damage, I won't be able to run, this monster moves incredibly fast and the worst part is, I'm out of hp potions, I have no choice but to..." Lind quickly opened his friends list, hoping there is a friend who could help him. "... ask a help from a friend."

From the tall grasses, a large fury gorilla-like beast with its two eyes gleaming in rage pounced toward Lind, making him dash back, dodging the attack. Surprised from the attack, Lind has no time to react, he quickly fully unsheathed his sword from his back. As he focused his sight to the monster, a green, long bar appeared above the beast with its name, Kuma, written above it.
"So it's Kuma, the king of this forest..... I will terminate you." He spoke as he aimed his sword to the raging beast. As soon as he finished talking, he swiftly dashed toward the beast, as well as the beast charged toward him. As he got closer to Kuma, he quickly swung his sword to the beast, making the tip of his sword spark as its edge slashed the monster's fury chest.
The bar above its head decreased by 5%. "Still not deep enough!" He spoke anxiously before the monster raised his arm to prepare for its counter attack.

Lind entered the woods, south of the starting town. The woods was gloomy as usual, it was dark inside, the only light inside are the light that penetrate through the leaves of tall trees, which is too dim. Decaying leaves makes the place darker and gloomier. Monsters in different shape, level and strength are scattered inside. Monsters in the woods are strong, their level range from 43-72.
Lind was working on a quest, to slay Kuma, a rare lvl 72 boss monster, and hoped to get a good loot from it.
He wadered around the forest, looking for Kuma, walking on its decaying grass patches. Until he came into a place where darkness grew abundant, grasses are taller and sharper and weak monsters no longer exist.
