After few minutes of wandering in the dungeon, Lind finally located the safe area. It was a surprise, or joy, for him to see a group of people gathering in the safe zone, he thought it was a guild trying to locate the boss room in the dungeon, and these people look strong, it will surely not take long for them to locate the room. He grinned secretely, thinking it will be an oportunity for him if his thoughts were true. Of course it is really a big, good deal for him to know where the boss room lies.
Lind silently entered the safe area, pretending to ignore the group. He sat on the nearest large stone he could sit on. And again put his right index finger and thumb together and pulled downward, the main menu window appeared. He navigated through the items menu with his right index finger and checked the items he looted from the battle awhile ago, while overhearing people's conversations.

Lind sat on a large mossy rock to take a little rest. He put his right index finger and thumb together, and pulled downwards, the main menu window opened. Using his right index finger, he navigated through the main menu and pressed the quest menu to check the status of the quest he's currently taking. He opened the tab of the quest he's currently taking, and and its status showed that it was already complete, "Kill Boar 20/20". He didn't realized, until that moment, that he was already done on the quest. He got up and giggled, feeling ridiculed, as he closed the main menu window and made his way to the safe area to safely take a rest and check the drops he got from the battle.
A grey sword cut Lind's arm. The blue thin bar, called the HP bar, at the top left corner of his field of vision shrunk by 5%. He focused his vision to the opponent, a blue thin line appeared above its head with its name, bandit, written above it. "This one's aggressive." He pulled his sword behind him fully unsheathed as he dashed toward the opponent. After he got closer he quickly shifted his sword from two handed grip to his right hand then swiftly swung his blade horizontally to the opponents plated chest. The edge of the blade made contact with the opponent, the attack penetrated through the opponent's armor, orange sparks were produced by the contact. The blue bar over the opponent's head shrunk by 73%, remaining only 27%.
The bandit attempted for a counter attack, he shifted his sword over his head and thrust it toward Lind. But Lind was already expecting that attack, a blue blinding light shone on the edge of his sword, he swiftly raised his sword over his head to parry the bandit's attack. The opponent's sword blew back over its head by the impact, making him defenseless, Lind took the opportunity to make his counter attack, he quickly jabbed his blade through the bandit's chest armored, the tip of the sword penetrated through the armor. The hp bar above the bandit's head disappeared without even a single dot left, at the same time, its body fell on unconscious and after awhile, it broke like a glass.
A purple rectangle appeared in front of Lind's face, showing the loots and experience points he gained from the battle.
Lind let out a deep sigh of disappointment. "This game never entertained me. It's way too easy." He sheathed back the his sword after closing the puple tab.

As he distanced away from the opponent, Lind switched his sword grip upside down,then swiftly raised his blade over his head, red dim light shone on its edge, but as seconds passed the light shone stronger.
Kuma thrust toward him in a great velocity, crushing everything it rammed. "Take my trump card, you bastard!" Before monster almost got him, he furiously pierced his sword against the ground, huge sharp thorns came out the ground in front of Lind within 6 meters radius, making Kuma pierced with lots of thorns and stuck on its position. The bar above the monster shrunk and turned red, remaining only 19% hp.
" This is the 'thorns of despair.' " He bragged in a serious tone. "The thorns will last for 15 seconds, now is my chance to test my new skill...The Omnislash."

Angel Beats! takes place at a high school acting as a limbo/purgatory for those who have died, where students learn to give up any lingering attachments they still have from life before passing on. Those in the afterlife school can still feel pain as they did when they were alive, as well as dying again, only to awaken later with no injuries. The story follows the main protagonist Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. He meets Yuri, a girl who invites him to join the Afterlife Battlefront (死んだ世界戦線 Shinda Sekai Sensen?, (SSS)), an organization she founded and leads which fights against God for the cruel fates the SSS members experienced in life. In the SSS, there is a four-girl band named Girls Dead Monster that acts as a diversion during missions, and an organization called the Guild that mass-produces weapons out of dirt and supplies them to the SSS. Their only enemy is Angel, a girl who has supernatural powers and fights against the SSS. Angel creates her powers with the aid of a computer program called Angel Player. The rest of the afterlife school is populated by a large number of "normal" students and teachers Yuri deems "non-player characters" (NPCs) as they are not human, but look and act the part.
