Yup, this one was entirely on him. Even so, however, it was a little interesting to learn that mortals didn't usually stare up at it the way they stared at the moon. Well, even Eris knew its brightness probably affected their eyes in some way. He honestly had a few theories and questions in mind, but he was probably better off using the internet or going to the library to study properly. Hm, it'd been a while since he actually went to the library, that actually wasn't a bad idea. He could check out a few other things while he was there, too. The buzz around him had mostly died down, so he was sure he could probably hide in a corner somewhere.

Speaking of hiding, now that Max brought it up, he really was on the paler side, wasn't he? Now that his mage was worth something, it'd probably be worth it to actually invest in him. He had trusted him to look after himself and didn't look like he had lost any muscle mass--but for the most part, he had let the finer details slip him by. And of course, then there was the attitude, but Eris had to admit he liked the idea of a sharp-tongued mage. Antigone was charming and Ismene was polite yet curt, but he didn't really have anyone that knew how to go on the attack the same way Max did. Eris needed to figure out what carrot to dangle to get that to work in his favor.

"Nope," He ended up replying to the question at hand briefly--he wasn't going to bore the kid with the obnoxious ideals of music he had gotten used to since dipping his toes into the Sinnenodel world of arts and music. "Anyway, hurry up and shower, I'm thirsty," He stretched his arms above his head before taking out his phone, sitting down on the bench in front of Max's bed, and skimming over an article he had bookmarked. "Need to inspect you, too, so get some underwear on when you finish."

Oh boy.

This was the place they were supposed to clear out? The fact that it hadn't been cleared out by official Vacuan forces was troubling. Well, seeing as how they were now the ones to clear the nest, she supposed that perhaps they were waiting for them to clear out the Grimm before properly tearing down the building. At least, that was her optimistic assumption, as the shape of the building looked to have been standing for far longer than it should have.

Niva informed them she would participate as an observer and nothing more. In a way, Fiona thought that was probably for the best; there was no better way to get into the swing of what being a Huntress was if she didn't dip her toes into the pool herself. Kohaku asked who was taking point before clarifying that she needed some distance. Rio stated he would be taking point--however, when she looked at his weapon, she figured that while it was good for an attack, she was unsure of its defensive capabilities. Saffron brought up a point with the walls, but she didn't think that'd be too much of a problem. Now that she was properly looking at their weapons, however, she realized that Kohaku and Rio's were custom. Well, not custom, but definitely not official in any capacity, more like homemade.

Taking her eyes off of Kohaku's staff, Fiona turned her attention to the group. "Rio should take point. Saffron will follow, then myself, and Kohaku will bring up the rear," She stated, pointing to each member. "We'll remain in a linear formation until we encounter more open areas--the building shouldn't be completely hallway if beowolves are around."

--and of course I have my hands full taking care of things on my end, but we manage. It's good to hear you're doing well. I still think you should come over--we'll always have room for you and your brother. If you're ever around, make sure to stop by.

Hammer

p.s. I've had to revoke Robin's access to your house. You'll thank me later.

Kazuki let out a tiny sigh as he finished reading the letter, sliding it into his bag before taking the box with him. Weeks. It had been weeks, and still no sign of anyone in charge letting them know what was going on. Other players outright refused to leave town to adventure anymore, holed up like animals. It was easy to see the denizens clearly unhappy with them, especially since they started acting up on their own. He would say it made him on edge, but honestly, he was starting to think they needed to rethink their strategy. As much as he hated to say it, he didn't think they could count on the safety of the towns anymore, especially with those rumors flying around. At least Alex had gone with Seele, and Kazuki planned on joining them once he dropped off whatever Hammer sent to him at his home.

He let his mind wander for a moment, giving a small nod to Marianna as he passed--he couldn't really abandon his Japanese ways, it seemed--though he came to a stop as he noticed someone at his door. Specifically, they were nailing something to it. That couldn't be good news. He sincerely hoped he hadn't somehow attracted trouble by simply existing, but it wouldn't be surprising at this point. Instead he chose to approach the man, offering him a small bow as best he could manage.

"Forgive me, I was out running errands," He stated politely. "I'm Kazuki, is it safe to assume you were looking for me?"

Double post again cause screw the rules

I'll be taking this weekend to review the sheets that are up, I'll take the chance to ask any potential applicants to get their sheets up/finish and edit what they have by Sunday night, Monday I'll bring up the cast. Thanks for your patience!

Whoops. And here I thought I did my due diligence. I guess I straight missed that. Apologies. I blame the browser on my phone. It loves opening all the advertisements on that site as large as it can. Probably to slowly drive me crazy. Or maybe to coerce me into 17 new phone plans. Same thing, right?

Anyway, I changed it on my sheet and edited the skills and transformation accordingly since the vibe is less spooky demon and more death-god croc mom. Which is great.

The Tower has some interesting Personas, like sentient demon genitals and Satan on a toilet. Just to mention a couple... that confuse me.

It's no problem, the series has a tendency to take something from everywhere, including the Cthulu Mythos. The discord link was also added to the OOC, in case you missed it.

Hot.

That's honestly all Vacuo was. Hot. More than once had Fiona been grateful that they were zipping through the plains instead of being on foot, though one side of her neck was a little warmer. Having chosen the front seat, the last thing she wanted was her long hair assaulting the poor souls behind her, so she had chosen to hold it in place with her right hand. Despite the building heat, she figured it probably would have been easier if she had just chosen to tie it. Oh well, it was her own fault, she had definitely been warned about the heat. Then again, being told one thing and experiencing it was another thing.

Letting out a tiny exhale, Fiona stared up at the sky. Not a cloud in sight to offer any shade! It was troublesome, but she figured listening in would take her mind off the heat, if only for a little while. Introductions were long overdue, but she had to admit she wasn't too keen on the idea. Her name was easy enough, but what qualified as 'interesting'? As she tried to think, she felt Nivea's nudge, feeling like that was her cue to speak up, though she was beaten to the punch. Shoot, she really needed to get on that faster.

Still, when there was a chance, she hesitated. No, no need for that. New start. "I'm Fiona," She decided to speak up as clearly as possible. "And I studied dust primarily before coming here. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

That was fine, right? It was sort of interesting. She did genuinely enjoy the pursuit of knowledge and it wasn't always expected with a combat-focused academy. Unless it was? Well, not standing out wasn't the worst thing. She continued to hold her hair in place, returning her gaze to the landscape.

Fourteenth Bell, 6th of the Great Tree Moon
"Keep those chins up! We're about halfway there!

The call had come from the front-most carriage, Michail's voice booming all around. While it was common knowledge that this would be the Rose Unit's combat orientation, the distance from the Monastery to the Knights' battle campground was not anticipated. The definition of nearby from knight to student had been underestimated--the trek didn't seem that long, really, but when seated in uncomfortable carriages with little space and a bumpy road that kept sending your shoulders and knees into the person next to you, the novelty wore off quickly. They had been trucking along for two hours already, the horses showing impressive endurance. The first carriage held three out of the four professors: Michail at the helm, Euphemia who sat towards the back with a map splayed out on her lap, and a last-second swap from Lysander to Kaira. The latter had to spend her time switching preparing a few last-minute kits and driving the second carriage, though she made sure to hand out the occasional water pouches, a little concerned that the heat would get to the students before they'd arrive.

The second carriage was where all the students had conveniently been stuffed into. It seemed fine when they first were all packed in, with Derec initially volunteering to sit on the floor when there weren't any more seats, but it was hard to debate which was worse once they were actually off, especially as the redhead seemed to go from back to front repeatedly, slowly sliding with every bump in the road. Anyone on a seat had to endure avoiding getting smacked against the back anytime a horse was suddenly spooked and decided to stop (which happened far too frequently for anyone's taste). Tomai drove the last carriage holding the group's weaponry behind the students, though it was obvious he didn't seem to have too much sympathy, looking more bored than anything.

"Ah, the Airmid River is just up ahead," Euphemia rolled up the map, storing it away before carefully standing to make sure everyone would hear her. "We'll be making a brief stop to let the horses drink and everyone can stretch their legs."

"We won't have much time for practice if we stop now," Tomai called back.

"Yes, but we could always camp out for the night and return tomorrow," She pointed out, kneeling down. "Besides, it's been a rough trip, I think the students would do better with a little break."

Trudging along, once they reached the river, everyone was free to get off. Kaira and Tomai charged themselves with checking on the horses while the Kalonic pair double-checked the map. The river wasn't too wide, though it wasn't advisable to cross as its depths couldn't be seen. There was a small, rickety-looking bridge that could support a few people, with a much sturdier stone bridge in the distance.

Tomai shrugged in response, although he looked to his left. "Luin Village is right there, we could get supplies, too--" He paused, squinting. "Hm. I see a rider on a horse coming this way."

Euphemia mimicked Tomai as she squinted, trying to get a better look. "There's two of them," She said, patting Michail to get his attention.

Kaira frowned, looking over to Michail. "Should we get back to the carriages?" She asked him worriedly.

"No. Worst-case scenario, we'd do better making a stand than trying to run away," Michail stated, hopping off as he pulled out his spear. "They look like they're in a hurry, though. Maybe they'll just cross."

"Optimistic, but it looks like they're headed straight here," Tomai pointed out.

"Maybe they need help?" Kaira suggested.

"Then why not go to the village?" Euphemia asked.

Michail frowned as well, eyes narrowing for a moment before he realized something. "Because they're coming from the village," He realized. "They might be under attack."

"And they think three carriages might be helpful?" Euphemia gasped. When Tomai wordlessly gestured to the Knight of Serios' banners on the sides of the carriages, she let out a sheepish laugh. "Oh...well, we have one knight here. What should we do?"
