Honestly I just haven't had time for the character sheet, I unfortunately probably won't anytime soon so unfortunately I think I'm gonna pass
So is gym class starting up and we're all in it together?
Even though the hunger almost consumed him. Jason managed to tear himself away from the window, he stepped backwards and tripped. He began to fall backwards at a snail's pace. He didn't mean to hyper react, it was just a natural reaction for him. As per usual he had all the time In the world to think. I wonder what Mom and Dad are doing right now? Mom's probably yelling at dad in a drunken state. Dad is probably just trying to calm her, but she was probably trying his patience. He thought calmly. He had known his mother didn't truly love him when she called him that word. Freak. The wave of nausea brought him out of his state, and was startled when he was falling at normal speed.

He hit the bed with a soft thump. That was lucky. He decided that it would be easiest to just stay down. Stay down. He chuckled remembering the incident today. He hoped that boy would learn his lesson. He frowned when he realized he never got to really teach that boy a lesson. The only thing that concerned him was the boys apparent lack of remorse. Maybe he was just embarrassed.

I didn't exactly do a great no of making friends today. He had never had many friends, most of his peers had either hated him, or pitied him.
He drifted off to sleep, feeling alone.
"Haha don't worry about it Ashleigh, you don't owe me anything." He said with a chuckle

Jason mentally kicked himself. Yeah I should have realized everyone's had enough violence today.

"That's interesting." He replied to Vedika curiously. "You can protect other people, and yourself. Maybe by some kind of some kind of energy manipulation? I wonder if that kind of manipulation is also how you can increase your offensive capabilities." Jason's mind had begun racing, thinking at breakneck pace. He took a deep breath. Realizing he had been spewing out words, quicker and quicker.
"Sorry about that, I got a little carried away." Jason said as he went slightly red. "I guess I'll just tell you now and show off later. I possess cognitive acceleration. I can process thoughts and think at hyper speeds. That's what allows me to react like I can. My reaction time is about 5 times the speed of most people."

Suddenly time froze. Jason went white as a chalkboard. Time only slowed this much when he either really concentrated on his hyper focusing, or as a defensive mechanism. Freak. His mind went back to when he had tried to explain this same thing to his classmates. Ever since that, not a day had gone by at school without him being yelled at, mocked, pushed, shoved, punched.
What if they think I'm a freak too? He tried to push the thoughts back down into the recesses of his mind.

"S-so when I focus time kinda slows-" he stuttered out when time had resumed its usual speed. This time he couldn't keep a straight face. He needed to get away. "Sorry to cut this short but I t-think I'm gonna head back to my room. My room number is 350 so if you need anything just let me know." He said looking at Ashleigh.
@caits
He got up and quickly started to walk out of the gym. He laughed at himself mentally for telling them his room number in case they needed anything. Clearly he couldn't help anyone at the moment. Especially not someone else with emotional turmoil, when he himself was struggling at the moment. He eventually reached his room and went inside. He needed an escape from reality, he was craving a high of some kind. But not from drugs, he was an adrenaline junkie. He looked out the window almost hungrily, looking for a thrill to get him out of his own head.
So is everyone kinda heading back to their rooms soon ? @themerlinhawk
Vedika stared with unflinching eyes as Jason's fist came towards her, ready for the hit. It was a few seconds after the non-impact that she blinked in mild confusion and looked down at his outstretched palm. Ah, this is that thing boys do Vedika thought to herself. She reciprocated incorrectly by giving Jason a light finger high-five, the kind that usually leads to a fist-bump followed by any manner of weird secret handshake-type rituals, though Vedika left it at just the fingers. Sitting back down, and saying bye to Paulina who had just left to see actually socialize at the social, Vedika said, "Jason, is it? Knowing the kinds of people you're likely to find in this school, you must be pretty brave to run to someone's aid like that. What is it you can do that gives you that kind of confidence?" It was maybe a bit out of character for Vedika to be asking this, but perhaps some of Paulina's curiosity and desire to learn and experiment on all the students' powers was rubbing off on Vedika.

What kind of ability gives me confidence? I never thought of it like that. It wouldn't matter if I had no power, I still would have done something.

"I'm not that special" he replied. " I would have helped her out regardless of any kind of ability." Jason wondered if he would have become the same person he is without his powers. He had trained his body to peak performance, so he wouldn't have to rely on them. However his athletic ability was nothing supernatural. His cognitive acceleration on the other hand...

"You really wanna know what I can do?" He asked. "I'll show you. Try to punch me, knock my teeth out, just go for it." He said with a grin. He prepared to hyper focus, and waited in anticipation.

I'll post again once @Stern Algorithm replies
Alright I'll hopefully get on it tonight
Ah!" Vedika called out in surprise, "The boy who's going to punch me!" She stood up with a slight clatter, nudging the table, and pointing at Jason. Then, as quickly as she had stood up, she turned her face down, brows furrowed, a look of deep thought on her face as she tried to remember what Paulina had just told her. Lightly slamming her fist into her palm, she looked back up again, saying, "My name is Vedika Venkatraman, what's your name?" She felt proud that she had asked him his name just like Paulina advised.

Jason almost let his confusion show, in the form of a raised eyebrow and cocked head. He couldn't tell if she was joking or what. But he didn't want to embarrass her so he kept a straight face. It was the girl who had stopped his punch earlier. He didn't resent her for it, and he had even come to understand it from her perspective, he just disagreed. She had offered to let him punch her earlier. He cracked a grin, time to take advantage of that.

"I think I wanna take you up on your offer..." he said with a dark tone. He drew his fist back and punched at her chest level. However just before his fist connected he stopped it instantly. And opened his hand for a handshake, laughing.

"I'm just fuckin with ya." He said jokingly. "Nice to meet you Vedika, I'm Jason."

Jason shoved his plate aside, it hadn't taken him long to tear through the various food groups that had once taken residence upon his plate. He had become so engrossed in his food that by the time he looked up it seemed most people had made friends.Damn it, I need to go and actually talk to people, or I'll be forgotten before the day is over. He scanned the crowd for a familiar face. Ashleigh's obvious emotional distress caught his eye quickly. It seemed like she was overwhelmed by various emotions, possibly some that weren't her own. He knew the burden of always being able to feel what others are feeling. Jason's ability to read people was all but supernatural, and he could feel her pain. He could also tell when someone's past was haunting them. @caits

The savior complex in him wanted to reach out to her. But he could tell she didn't need saving at the moment, just to be left alone. He could tell Paulina was attempting to comfort her. And it seemed the blonde boy was prying, possibly too much. And it all seemed to overwhelm her. Comforting her may not be what she needs, but I'm sure she wished all the attention wasn't on her. He grabbed his empty plate and casually strolled over to the food tables trying not to be too obvious.

"Damn this food is so great, I had to come back for seconds!" Jason said in an upbeat tone. As he turned to Paulina his eyes flickered to Ashleigh and for a fraction of a second he gave her a knowing look. His gaze quickly shifted to Paulina. "It seems you're the one who puts all the restraints on everyone's powers. So your power is controlling our powers?" He said jokingly. @thundercrash
