Bio

A writer, artist, animator, worldbuilder. In short, jack of all trades, master of some.

For the most part, I've retired from roleplaying. For quite a long time, what kept me tied to RPG was the Spam community—but even that I have distanced myself from. Now, my focus is on the writing contests.

I consistently try to write reviews for RPGC, and I consistently enter the Twelve Labours.

First labour; world of Archipelago, Jack.
Challenge: an unwelcome death.
For next entry: characterization.

Second labour; world of Uberpowered, Émile.
Challenge: an unfortunate fortune.
For next entry: pacing.

Third labour; world of Cinderlore, Caerys.
Challenge: an unforgiving ambition.
For next entry: proofreading.

Fourth labour; world of Supers, Joshua.
Challenge: an uncompromising betrayal.
For next entry: development.

Fifth labour; world of Mutamorphis, Olrich.
Challenge: an unrepressed motive.
For next entry: development, dammit.

Sixth labour; world of Mythos, Melas.
Challenge: an untenable alliance.
For next entry: dénouement.

Seventh labour; world of Hatemongers, Talahn.
Challenge: an unbearable sacrifice.
For next entry: cast utilization.

Eigth labour; world of Mythica, Céline.
Challenge: an unwinnable challenge.
For next entry: plot cohesion.

Ninth labour; world of Nardja, Albiorn.
Challenge: an unknowing accomplice.
For next entry: narrative set-up.

Tenth labour; world of Magestones, Ariana.
Challenge: an unwilling inspiration.
For next entry: narrative set-up, dammit.

Note: due to my current affiliations, I'm equating the "Skype Group" as a sub-branch of Spam. This isn't the case, but I'm biased like that.

8. Is spam the tumor inside RPG?

I'd say yes, but a benign tumour.

17. I have some questions for all spammers. Who is your favorite person in Spam? Who do you wish would post more often? Who would you consider having a romantic relationship with?

My favourite person would probably be Elendra, but there're others who come close.

As to who should post more, I honestly don't have anyone in mind. I frequent Spam too infrequently. Though I do wish I had the time to post more.

I would consider having a romantic relationship with a number of people, but I don't think I'm ready yet, so consideration's my limit. At this point, there isn't anyone I'm romantically invested in in Spam.

20. This one is open to anyone to answer. Fuck, Marry, Kill, all people in Spam available as answers, who would you pick for each one?

I would not really want to mate with anyone, not because I don't think I'd be attracted to anyone, but because I don't want sex. If I had to pick, it'd be somebody who is chill enough with it to "guide" me through it, if you will. DOn't know who that'd be.

I'd maybe marry Nargle, because I think we can both respect each other enough to have a decent time of it.

There isn't anyone I'd want to kill, but if I had no choice and they were all lined up in front of me, I might just have to pick myself to spare my soul.

28. If you had to be stuck in a room with another spammer for 5 years, and then after that time was up you had to kill them, who would you pick and why? Also, don't be a bitch, no equivocation about not killing them, follow the hypothetical mandates you little shit.

The dying part sucks. I wouldn't want any of you dead, so I might pick myself. Or someone I don't know very well, but after five years, I'd be sad of anyone's killing.

32. Question for oldfags: which of the new spammers (those who first showed up after Guildfall) do you like the most?

Don't really know who's the best, don't know the new guys enough.

39. If you got to throw two spammers into a gladiatorial arena and make them fight to the death, who would you pick? Who do you think would win, and why? Would your answer change if they were allowed weapons and armor instead of just brawling with bare hands?

Brovo and some idiot with poor ethics, so that Brovo would win and the world would be normal.

41. Who are the five smartest spammers?

Um, Jorick, Brovo, Sherlock, Dervish, and Goldmarble, maybe? No particular order

60. Would you participate in a spam orgy? How would that go?

I wouldn't want to be in the orgy itself, but I might watch in order to better understand my brethren. I'm a creep.

67. If someone was to write a book with all of your Spam names in it as characters, would you read it?

Depends on the focus cast. If it had the right people as main characters—hopefully including me—then definitely.
Aëyr, selkie. Western Watch Tower.
Slipper, Stealthy, Endurance Training; running and aquatic conditions.

Walking slowly near the rear of the group, Aëyr sipped some water from her canteen. Though she had grown accustomed to the relative dehydration of the landborne races ever since she'd lost her coat in the heat of the merchant ship, she was still aquatic by nature, and always preferred to keep water flowing through her.

Her companions, the Queen's Blades, fascinated her. Born in isolation and raised in the confines of a Southblood brothel, she had seen little in the way of the many races of the world. Selkies, merfolk, humans, elves, goblins, orcs... Those had been the norm in her world, the beings she shared the land beneath the sky with. And though here, amongst these warriors and mages, such races took rank, others less known to her made their way. Greef, the centaur; Drah-za, the sprite; and Dread Fang, the scarab. If scarab is all that he can be said to be.

She heard a commotion from the front of the group, and edged her way into earsight. A danger was unraveling in the village, and their help would be needed immediately. The group split in what seemed to her to be a disorganized frenzy at the words of the danger's herald.

Aëyr stood transfixed for a moment, uncertain as to where to go. There were no clear indicators of what path would suit her talents most.

In the spur of the moment, the dark-skinned woman caught her eye. A fellow slave, she pondered. As Abida moved off, Aëyr rushed over to follow close behind. Her decisive movement towards the tower reassured Aëyr, who was not much of a leader.

She managed to keep up with her almost effortlessly, and they arrived at the Tower in good time. Surprisingly, there was little action here. Almost no sings of trouble whatsoever, the guards manning their posts as if naught were awry.

The crows caught her eye, as she apparently caught hers. Untying her sling from around her waist, she placed a smooth stone into its pouch and slowly began to swing it in circles at her side. She was ready to lash out at any bird that should take flight towards them.
Note: this thread is devoted to a concept simple in nature. The nomination of Spam members as moderators. However, it should be so much more. Each nomination should be followed by "critiques", if you will, in which we discuss the potential failings and hardships each nominee would face once upgraded. These critiques are especially welcome from the nominees themselves.

Choose wisely.

Consider keenly.

Cull thoughtfully.

Ace? Foxes? Holmeshire? Killbones? Darkmatter? Sophi? Are...Are they gone too? ;_;

Worry not, my friend, I am not so easily removed.

Well, I am, I just tend to avoid getting into trouble.

Holy balls, shit's going down in this round. We got our first PC casualty, crazy mutant enemies and a very angry Goleyeith armed with a ripped-off mech arm/spontaneous club. Fun.So Holimshire. I'm interested in exploring the fog, but Roman wouldn't even consider going without backup. You wanna take a chance and check out the foggy mutants or go down the safe side?

Honestly, I am also tempted to see what's in the fog, just in case they are more survivors. Of course, it's super risky, as that Goliath is still coming for us, and if it comes to it, I have an evac and you don't, as far as I can tell. Also, I'm packing a little bit less firepower these days.

In character, Eira will follow Roman in whichever choice he makes at this point. He asks Eira to give him backup in the fog, she'll do it, and I'll happily oblige. The Goliath is bigger than the Mercy, and so we should have some small amount of time while it tries to break through to make contact. Though we'll need to rush in to get out of distance of those arms.
Oh, by the way, I'll join the Western Watch Tower. I'll see about getting a post up tomorrow.

Zin is alright at chess and would be down to play during some down time, but she's no pro.We should have a between-missions chess club and write posts about our characters playing intense matches in which they learn valuable life lessons.

In between missions? Dude, chess should be our missions.

If it comes down to it... I might try to talk to Brovo and see if... I... *takes a deep breath* If it comes down to it, perhaps putting my secondary onto the backburner until their are inactives or drops.... If. Until that point, I have an iron grip on that secondary slot.

I literally cannot decide what to do for my second character. As some can attest, I have a list several dozen ideas long, and I can't pick which to do. So I'll drop my second one so Levi can get in, because he at least has a clear idea :p Or if that doesn't help, OH WELL, I tried.

I would like to thank you both so much for the sacrifices you offered. Thankfully, it doesn't look like it's an issue at this point, but I really appreciate what you guys tried for me.

Just as a teaser for the next GM post.Next post, at least one person will die.

You know, I was expecting a death.

It's really the at least that worries me.
Biographical Section

Name: Aëyr.
Age: 19.
Race: Selkie.
Sex: Female.
Appearance: Dark brown hair, slim build, average height. (better description to come, probably draw her when I get the chance)
Homeland: The Free Holds.

Motivation: After years of slavery, Aëyr wants to regain some sense of self-worth. Benevolent at heart, and choosing others over herself, all she wants is a better world where others, perhaps, won't have to suffer as she did. She chose to join the Queen's Blades to help others.

Signature: Holmishire, should you choose to accept me.
I am fully aware that you are giving preferential treatment to the previous players of Renalta, and I in no way wish to subvert that decision. But, if by some fluke of luck, Renalta doesn't fill up with the regulars, I would be honoured to join the pack.

If it doesn't work out, well, I've always got the Last Bastion. ;}
