Looking for a Ranked match. I'll be using Hadyn. Character Sheet, below.

3 Day time limit on post. I'd prefer a location that's not too complex, but barren is boring as well. Something like the Midnight Cemetery would do. I'm looking for a pretty even match up. We'll also need a judge. I'd personally feel more satisfied with @Rilla or @Skallagrim as our judge, though I'm open to suggestions, based on who takes up the challenge. Wagers of any kind are acceptable, as long as we discuss them beforehand. Victory style will be Death, KO, Surrender, or Forfeit. Not posting after 3 days counts as connecting attack, after 6 days, it is an automatic forfeit. We can discuss further Stipulations, based on chosen character. Yes, this will be Ranked.
About to Prepare for my first fight everyone! wish me luck.

But anyway what are some of the most Interesting arenas you fought in.

My favorite so far, although the fight was never finished, was a HungerGames-esque type battle. The Arena was pretty simple, a large forest. What made it interesting was that there were something like 9 other practically God like warriors in the same arena trying to kill each other. The poor Forest didn't stand a chance.
My overly honest answer:

This is something I've thought about a few times. A question I've asked myself on more than one occasion when I log off and think, why do I bother with this? It really doesn't do me much good, and some days it can quite literally consume my day away, when I have such little available time anyways. Though, it's always been pretty tough to really nail the exact reasons.

Largely, there is a part of this that is sentimental to me. I practically grew up in forums and chat rooms like these. I've made countless friends, and experienced loss of those friends as they've moved on, or I may have. I can recall stories and characters that are now just mere memories as their pages have been eradicated from the net in more than one occasion, and yet I still write hoping to recreate some of those, that I can never really get back. But, to hopefully create new memories as well.

The community is something I typical adore as well. Even in parts of some forums, namely the Arena sections, where things can often get very intense and cumbersome, there is something about the bonds that form that keeps me coming back for more. Which is really weird in some cases, because some of those same things is where some people could look and want to run away. On every forum I've ever been on, the Arena has been my absolute favorite place, because as much argument that goes on in that one small section, there is a brotherly connection that forms between you and the others that you simply can't quite reach in some other areas of RP forums. These guys and the occasional gal are my brothers and sisters, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes, there is the escapism aspect. My life is filled with ups and downs and straight out roller coasters, and even when it can get that way roleplaying, there is this ground that is present, that I can hold onto whenever things get just a little too shaky. Furthermore, I have never had much of a sense of self. Roleplaying has allowed me to explore that. Specially when in life, there are so many things that can hold you back from just straight out being yourself, I can come on here and really just be whoever I want to be, and no one really cares or judges me on that, unless I'm just being a complete jerk and then they have no issues calling me out on it. Haha. For real though, I can come and lose myself in writing and not really have a care in the world about what is going on right beside me.

And of course I do love writing, though my favorite part is character creation. I can spend all day on characters if I had the time. Characters are so diverse and complex and I can control how I want them to be and how they develop and grow. Stories can be the same way, but I think it goes back to that sense of person. In exploring these idea characters in my mind, I develop a further understanding of my own sense of self. Heck, some of my characters are more elaborate than what you can tell from reading a character sheet, because, how can you really define every aspect of a person without also having the aspect of trial and tribulation? Anyways, I'm just rambling there.

And sometimes it's just a sense of relief. The ability just to sit here like right now and just type whatever comes to my mind, instead of keeping everything locked away, constantly trying to keep those around me happy while I'm completely and utterly miserable. Sometimes it helps just to write. It doesn't even matter what it is about. It's almost like a form of therapy (as much as I hate to apply that word to it.). It's sometimes just what I need to do, to be able to get myself through the day. Just Write.
So as a new user, I have had the difficulty of needing to pump out characters to have diversity and to stay up to par with others. I'd also like to refrain from using the same character in two simultaneous fights.

Would ten be a good number?

Just keep fighting and making characters. Characters will come naturally as you experience new stuff in the Arena, as well as when strokes of inspiration arise. Don't try to pump out X number of characters, cause you'll realize soon that you won't even want to play most of them, because there isn't much going for the character or you're just not feeling them. Just because you have an idea for a character, doesn't always mean you'll end up making it. I always just jot them down somewhere and come back to it later and see how I feel, particularly if they aren't all that inspired, or if it's only a momentary thing. As many character ideas I have floating around on my character Sheet thread, I only have 2 completed sheets and a half completed one. But those are ones I know I want to use. The others I usually test by bringing them into storylines involving other characters. I.E. Before I started work on Taro and Yasu, I wrote a small piece involving them in my Fight using Mason(The Prismatic Archer) vs. Rilla's Demon Elf who's complicated name I constantly forget. (I like simple names.) Then, in my Character Sheet for Hadyn, much of his Origin story details some side characters here and there, but a man named Arsto in particular. I may or may not develop a CS for him as well, but I'm hoping to dig a little into that particular character while I journey around with Hadyn.

I guess what I'm saying is don't force it. Sometimes the characters are good ideas for Arena characters, other times they might just make good NPCs. Don't get me wrong, I throughly enjoy when a person can constantly spit out characters like ImportantNobody can, but let's be honest here, how many of his characters do you think he actually uses? If anything, most of them are just rough ideas that could potentially be other New characters. No offense to him, of course. I enjoy his works.

Just find what works for you, though. You shouldn't feel the need to just Pump characters out.
Regulars would populate it, obviously. Hahaha.

Out of the ones I've fought on a somewhat regular basis or seen fight.

Tops would be

Skallagrim
Melon

Then

DJAtomika
Khan
Impaqt(based off characters)
Green
ImportantNobody
LeeRoy

Wow. I honestly didn't expect to even see my name mentioned. Haha, and simply for my characters at that. I'm honored.
@Impaqt
If you think that was salt, you'd hate arguing with me.

I'm sorry? Who are you? Who's arguing? Why do I need salt for that?
How are out of tier characters handled?

Ex: My only complete character was classed at low tier to start, and I have started a fight with him. However, as I study his ability more and more, no alterations taken into account, I see he was a lot stronger than originally intended.

EDIT: Originally expected would be a better phrase.

Simply enough, practice. Most people will tell you if they think your character is too tough for their character at the same teir. After a few bouts, you will suddenly start getting a better idea. The Arena is ever-changing, and something considered silly and useless one day could be the debate of tomorrow. You just go with the flow, get a few argument points in to keep the Arena Gods happy, and you're good to go. Above all, don't take any of this ridiculously serious. It's meant to be fun, no matter how much these weirdos argue over petty stuff. Adapt, continuously grow and write, sacrifice your first born children, and just have fun. People way over-complicate things when they join the arena, typically, which is why it stays so small as far as people. When, truth be told, it's just as easy as jumping in the deep in and learning as you go. No one can REALLY tell you how you need to battle or what the tiers are and whatnot. It's all really just opinions and constantly subject to change.
@Impaqt
If you're looking to start an argument, you've already lost. I thrive on confrontation and conflict, it's my favorite pass time. Especially at midnight.

Please, get a grip on yourself. It was a joke. I find it hard to take you that seriously; enough to actually argue with you, anyways.
NO POWER:
-No magic/powers/no superhuman feats/crazy weapons.
-everything is realistic (no ray-guns or Iron Man suits,Etc).

LOW-POWER:
-There are some powers but they are not over-the-top.
-Enemies who are not assisted by said powers should be able to have a fair match with those who do.
- Characters given powers should have a lengthy cool-down or preparation time to regain the spell/abilities they expended.

MEDIUM-POWER:
-Every Character should have at least Three abilities.
-A non powered/weaponized character should have a hard time fighting this character type.
-They can use there abilities more frequently but have a big drawback or some balancing device to make sure they are not crazy powerful.

HIGH/ULTRA POWER:
-Almost god-like terms of powers in power.
-No mortal should and will stand a chance in a fight
-Completely absurd amount of power in abilities/weapons
-The character that are almost god-like should be kill-able or else it isn't a fair fight(obviously.)

Ooooh. Colorful.

"-No mortal should and will stand a chance in a fight" No mortal should stand a chance against a Medium-Powered character, to be honest.

Also, I feel like there is this large gap of power between your definition of Medium and High Powered individuals. I'm also pretty sure Ultra is typically labeled above High in most characters I've seen, High being that gap you seem to have jumped over. High-powered characters, for me is the fun zone. Much more creativity in power, more loose, and typically where a lot of characters that participate in these tournaments are at. But, they aren't insanely powered either with every power under the sun and capable of destroying universes with a glance. I think High powered might be able to destroy a planet with some elbow grease involved, but not a typical thing to happen either.
@Descartes
@Dymion
I consider low powered to be comparable to Spider-Man.
I consider med powered to be comparable to Colossus.
I consider high powered to be comparable to Sentry.

This is not, however, a unanimous metric. Sometimes people consider my characters stronger, some consider them weaker. There is no unified opinion on the subject.

[EDIT:] And I'll be honest, the fact that people expect everyone to agree on it kind of pisses me off.

[Double EDIT:] This saltiness isn't directed towards the two of you, to be clear. It's incredibly hard to manage a metric among a group of people who, on average, argue more than any other group of roleplayers. Bringing it up tends to result in a long discussion about how it should work, and it ends up as a circlejerk of the same cyclical topics.
