Struggle in the Pocket Dimension (ImportantNobody vs Glass)

Basic Info: This battle begins the rivalry between individuals from two sci-fi races crossing dimensions for the first time, albeit not entirely on purpose. We're both still developing said races, but not too much will need to be known about them at this point in time other than that they will not be very pleased to meet each other. Any by that I mean they wish to cause the other mortal harm! Due to reasons, the most high tech equipment brought through begins to malfunction and weakens the individuals passing through, leaving them in low powered tier despite being from advanced races.

Battleground: The battleground is a pocket dimension that our characters can't reach the end of, as the horizon appears to keep moving with us. The dimension is virtually empty, with an unknown wavy white material flowing around underneath us serving as the ground, sky, and walls that can never be reached. It doesn't effect our walking, however, behaving like a soft solid with slight morphing to make hills and such. Sparkling lights like stars shine within the material out in the distance. Rumor has it that this dimension won't remain stable for very long.

lololol see that's what peeps said to me, how can you tickle robots or through armor?

I cheat through that with a limited supply of Nano-Machines. Gosh darn Nano-Machines that modify Genetics or Equipment --> Tickles through any armor as long as thing is considered "alive" to some aspect or the guy can figure it out lol

Everyone knows magical girls are vulnerable to tickle attacks, allowing the enemy to finish them off while they are distracted.

I'll be heading home in 40 minutes unless I'm too busy to leave, but doesn't seem like it today.

I'm guessing we aren't using guns? From my point of view I usually group gun users with medium magical power people. There's a long running debate about guns and where appropriate they are, but definitely not low powered range to me. Think I'll go with a staff or sword. Good classics to fall onto for low powered.

@MelonHead, I don't think gravity should be on that list. In that case you could say any type of magic, like advanced fire magic that spawns at your opponent's location at a glance. Time and teleportation is more inherently op, although any type of magic wouldn't be with certain restrctions. We're assuming a whole lot, but of course its much easier to generalize magic types rather than list all the possibilities.

@ImportantNobody, that sounds like a plan. I've already started at least pulling something together (I'm at work as well). If you get inspired, go ahead and start a thread... I can jump in fairly immediately.

His remarks certainly suggest that much. He seems oblivious to the concept of non-interactive powers, which are widely considered broken at all power levels, irregardless of setting.

He's technically correct on this matter from a certain point of view. In my multiverse there are plenty of op people but are not op against each other. They are simply unfair to fight against for anyone who's not at their level. If someone has an attack that always hits, someone with an op dodging ability can counter him. My guy with infinite attack power can still be stopped by someone who's also op. Someone who stops time in my setting is countered and defeated. An immovable object and and unstoppable force are both op but can still fight on equal terms depending on what laws govern your setting.

@ImportantNobody, I would like that... I'm sure I can stir something up from the depths of my creative reserves. I may go toward the lower end of strength in abilities, equipment, etc... If there is an example of a character along those lines floating around, I would be happy to take a peek! Otherwise, feel free to get something goin', and I will follow suit.

I do appreciate seeing the activity in this particular area. Gives me hope overall... And I'm a generally positive outlook type of person so, don't worry 'bout anything swaying me away. I'll stay or go based on my personal experiences/interactions.

Regardless, I appreciate all the help 'ere. I think the next thing is to really try and jump right in and see if someone (anyone) would be willing to have a go at showing me the relative ropes of the Arena forum.

Given how my current battle is proceeding slowly (or perhaps not at all) I could try a battle out with you. I can bring out a character to match one you'd like to use.
