 Whelp, here's where you learn a little bit about me whether you like it or not. Hi! You can call me Effie or ineffable or basically whatever you'd like but welcome to my little corner of the guild! I've been here for about 5 years, starting on my adventure in roleplaying in a free roleplay and moving my way up towards more high casual roleplays, which is what I'm working on right now. You can find me a lot in Slice of Life roleplays and every so often in Fantasy or Sci-fi. As for a little bit about me: I love 80s era movies and music and play an inhumane amount of video games. I am also kind of low key addicted to Dungeons and Dragons and a total bookworm with a favoring towards contemporary fiction. Hey, I'd love to join in on the fun but I'm a bit confused as to what's going on. Could anyone give me a quick summary? I'll be forever grateful. It's nice to see this thread up and going again!

My reply is so short, I'm so so sorry! I wish I could write more but I've barely fitted this in amongst all my other work. Hopefully, the work load should die down soon once I get myself comfortable with it but for now I'm feeling guilty that you'll have to read through my horrible writing. I'll try to write more the next time I reply but I'm getting better at chasing my writer's block away.
As for what's going on in the story I know Sofie is supposed to steer them to Horus II, and she will but maybe we could have the characters interact more, get to know each other on the journey? Darcy could be there if you'd like or we can move him to another part of the ship :)

Sofie quickly slid into the pilot seat and buckled herself up carefully, almost giggling in excitement when she heard the satisfying click. She shook her head, trying to snap out of her weirdly hyper mood and watched as Ed took the throttle. She almost smiled at his childish giddiness as he bounced in his seat when the Captain give him orders.
She was finally here, right exactly where she wanted to be. And hell, she was going to do the best she could. Sofie smiled and ran a finger over the dashboard in front of her.
WHAM
Her back hit the chair and Sofie felt the breath being knocked out of her.
"Ed!" Her voice came out as more of a gasp then anything and she cleared her throat uncomfortably. By then the Captain had already reprimanded Ed and suggested that she take control.
"Tunnel us to the starbase at Horus II. Know how to do it?"
Sofie smirked and immediately tried to cover it up. Of course she knew how to steer a ship, her years poring over books should've paid off already.
Sofie placed a hand on the throttle quickly, just about touching Ed's hand. She drew her fingers away quickly before placing them back on the throttle and leaning towards the front, she inched the throttle forward gently. The Raving Maiden soared into the sky, passing wisps of cloud against the clean bright blue sky as it did and Sofie let herself relax her shoulders, leaning back in her seat she watched the view go by.
It was so pretty up here, nothing like the ugliness Sofie knew was happening below her. Here she was insignificant with no roles to play, no feelings to assume, no pretending to do. She was free.

I used to do a lot of Mercy but now I'm switching up my playing style. Sometimes I go with Tracer but I'd love to get good at Mcree.

I'm glad that you're doing okay! I've been sleeping pretty late as well so I guess we have that in common (I've been watching a lot of Netflix lately in between work loads so it's been a pretty dull week.) I wish I had more time to play games, I'd love to get into another Overwatch match or just open Steam up again. Who do you main on OW?
I'm hoping to write longer replies now that I've gotten into the rhythm of my workload (if that makes sense) so hopefully, we'll be seeing more of Sofie soon :)

Sofie decided to stay silent for that. She had caught on that it was meant as a joke but it still made her extra wary of the captain.
Everything he said as he explained the ship's controls, pointing and poking on different surfaces made her feel at ease. This was her captain and she was receiving her orders for the first time. She could do anything with the information he gave her, choosing her own path across the sky. Sofie hugged herself in excitement and almost instantly straightened up. This was serious work and she was anxious of putting her knowledge to the test.
