Well, it's currently midday here. I live in Australia

Ok, Caits I've been wondering. What timezone do you live in? I'm mainly just want to know as it seems your days are starting when it is getting dark where I live.

History tidbit on WoW's Blood Elves, before they were the Blood Elves, they were the High Elves, also in WC before WoW. Frankly, we're having an debate here about which egg came first when they all have the same genes. Also, SC was conceptualized before WH 40K, but 40K provided the template for each race. I know mah stuff.

Ok, I knew this was quite pointless debate, but I love debating about Warhammer! However, Warhammer 40k came years before SC was even made, tabletop at its finest! 1987 was the date when 40k was made and 1998 was when Starcraft was published! Also if you want to read further on this, I found a rather nice article.

Literally all I know about Warhammer is that they like plaid ludicrous shoulder-pads and TotalBiscuit likes it.

But I do really like the idea of tabletop roleplaying games, even if I've never actually been in one.

Aw, that's too bad. Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k are fantastic. However, different tabletop game. You are thinking of D&D Tabletop that inspired 40k roleplay tabletop games like Only War and Deathwatch. However, I'm talking about making and painting armies of a race and using like a two hundred page rule books, 100 page codexs, and tons of dice and fight other people! It is quite intense and fun! If you want to check it out, here is their site.

I have a hard time believing SC being Warhammer 40k.

SC has MUCH more reasonable shoulder-thing sizes.

Besides, it doesn't really matter now, they'll all their own beasts.

True, shoulder protection is much more important inside Warhammer 40k, but you can't really not see the Zerg with Tyranids, Terrans with Space Marines, and Protoss with Eldar. However, yes, in the end every game is true to their own concept and all have their own unique ideas to spin on their own genre. However, Burthstone how much do you know of the Warhammer universe? It would be fun to discuss this nerdy past time both fluff and tabletop if you are that deep into the nerd zone.
Wait, should Magni and Enma enter at the same time? I feel it would be kinda weird if two people were entering at the same time wanting to join Frenzy Plant and neither notice each other the entire time they are qualifying for their position.

I actually have to disagree with the races coming from Warhammer Fantasy, as the Night Elves, Blood Elves and such all existed in the original WC formula already. I won't dispute character models though as going from a god view RTS to third person RPG is a huge difference in character models.

Aw, c'mon! Sure, they might be a little different but Wood Elves and Night Elves with Blood Elves just like the High Elves (The High Elves from Warhammer Fantasy, not WoW)! Also, Warhammer Fantasy started the whole an Orc is green thing, that is pretty impressive. Basically Warcraft was supposed to be Warhammer Fantasy and Starcraft was supposed to be Warhammer 40k.

WCIII came before WoW.

DOTA was just the first popular Moba game, which was, yes, a mod from WCIII, but the idea had existed previously. I'm just too lazy to look up examples (Mostly because they'd be hard to find under the pile of modern MOBAs.)

Also, just because two Dota fans made LoL, doesn't mean they "Stole ideas from the game", they just used the basic principal, which is NOT stealing. (Or, like, Doom or CoD would be the only FPS around.) All the non-mechanical elements of league are purely unique.

Actually... I'm mostly objecting to how you suggested WoW came before WCIII, because it didn't.

I guess I was being kinda super stupid on that point, but I meant the one of the major factors from the idea of Warcraft came literally from the Warhammer Fantasy setting. I wasn't trying to say WoW came before Warcraft 3, but the entire art direction, races, and most likely some lore was inspired off the Games Workshop's own fantasy setting in the very beginning. Also, I would like to think DOTA was just the first MOBA game, period. It was after the genre was gaining so much popularity as several gaming companies were trying to make their own such as Valve and Riot and the obvious money that was coming from them sparked such an interesting genre of gaming. As for comparing to DOTA 2 and LoL, I do have to admit that through the years they have started to diverge away from their original roots, but you have to at least see the early champion ideas and items that were quite obviously taken from DOTA. The map I guess can be forgiven as literally every MOBA game hasn't really deviated against the three lane match ups.

I agree with Hatake and Demon, after the time skip but just before the games is a good time. And I pray we don't get in too much trouble for stealing Dota's stuff, which they stole from Blizzard.

There is actually a chain of stuff stolen in that line! WoW was actually supposed to be a Warhammer Fantasy game, but Games Workshop pulled out and then forced Blizzard to slightly alter the design and then making a huge gaming franchise out of it. Now skip to Warcraft 3, and the original DOTA was merely a mod for the game, but this mod got hella crazy popular similar to DAYZ. For some strange reason, Blizzard didn't trademark DOTA and then Valve came out of nowhere and swiped it from them! Theeeeeennnnnn, Riot games was developed from two DOTA fans and they obviously stole some ideas from the game, but made it much more noob-friendly and easier to play. And then everyone knows the spree of MOBA games that would come out after that.
...*face desks* Ugh I thought of a really cool character, but I already have three characters! ;-;

Heh, I have that same problem. However, I ignore my brain and go with what my heart tells me, and it tells me to make the awesome character all the time. That is how I got Magni! One stray thought about counter magic just made my imagination go crazy and then I made that guy over there. So, I'm just going to be the corrupting influence here and whisper 'do it' and add another cool character inside the RP in which my characters could somehow meet later.
So, I'm guessing I should wait to introduce Magni after the magic games have ended? As everyone is just waiting for the collabs to be finished and it would be a dick move to just extend that period of time to wait for the magic games.
