Fabine shrugs as he listens. He didn't think that would work, but wasn't going to respond unless she directly asked. "Sacha is weak. She's an archer who can't make a bullseye at 10 feet. "

Vera frowns slightly, noting that he didn't seem to approve of her plan. She went back to the drawing board and hesitantly suggested, "What if I grabbed Aya? Could you goad her into giving herself up?" She had such little knowledge of the Rabin leader's personality and strategy, so she was intent on getting Fabine's approval before executing anything risky.

Fabine scowls a bit. "Hard to be impartial when you hate the Rabin leader as much as I do. I'd much prefer slit her throat. But as a member I'd be worried about her fellow Rabins hearing and trying to interfere."

"How could we lure away from the camp a bit then?" Vera murmured half to herself. She blinked and glanced at Fabine. "Isn't Sacha the kind of weak leader that would blindly run to help anyone in trouble? Aya, too." She paused for a moment and nodded, deciding that this strategy may work. "For example... Maybe if they heard a young-sounding girl crying for help in the opposite direction of the camp?" she suggested, watching her leader carefully for his reaction.

Fabine nods slowly a bit. "Alright, how do you want to go about that?"

Vera blinked anxiously. "Well, I was picturing a drop-from-trees and hold a dagger to her neck style ambush," she suggested softly. "What do you think? Not as my leader, just as a Brom."

Fabine nods. "I hear Sacha and Aya." He exhales. "Not hearing either of our two members, but Sacha would definitely be.." He then stops, remembering that he was going to let Vera lead this mission.

Vera nodded in agreement, then smiled slightly, appreciative that he was keeping to his word to leave the decision making to her. "I know that Aya is a healer, so I'm sure she's not one for fighting. And I think the two of us could overpower just Sacha," she breathed. "We could arrange a trade to get our Broms back."

Fabine just nods, listening. He could hear a group returning and recognized Sachas voice. He frowns a bit, trying to figure out who had returned. He glances at Vera, wondering if she had heard them.

Vera noticed the strange expression on Fabine's face at the same instant that she detected voices among the trees. She glanced at Fabine and gave a small nod, but realized she wasn't familiar with any of the Rabins enough so to identify the unknown voice. She gave him an inquiring look and whispered, "Can you make out any distinct voices?"
<Snipped quote by jaywing93>

Fabine nods to her. "Around 6 active Rabins in camp, but no sign of the prisoners."

Vera frowns, disappointed. "Hmmm. Where could they be?" she murmured half to herself. She sighed. "I guess I shouldn't have chased off that Rabin girl... We could've tried to get some answers out of her."

Fabine nods and flies into the air. He makes a mental note of the flaws in her plan, before taking off towards the camp. He does a slow circle, scanning to make sure no rabins saw him. He spots a few Rabins lazing around, but none saw him. He counted 6 Rabins, but neither of the prisoners. He circles once more before heading back to the meeting spot.

As soon as Fabine took off, Vera also soared into the air and raced after the Rabin. She had headed in the general direction of the camp, so Vera quickly swooped in and pulled roughly at her hair with her talons. The girl shrieked and tried to pull away, but Vera lashed out again and landed a solid blow on her cheek, leaving a bright red gash. She landed on a low branch between the Rabin and the way to camp, eyeing her fiercely as she backed away and fleed in the opposite direction. She quickly headed back to the meeting spot and greeted Fabine with a nod. "What did you find out?"
<Snipped quote by jaywing93>

Fabine nods. "I can certainly do thst. What are you wanting me to look for?" He asks, already shifting and ready to do the flyover. He watches Vera, listening to her orders carefully. He noted she was doing a fine job and analyzing the situation well.

Vera thought carefully. "First of all, check for Destin and Misha. Maybe see if you can find the best spot to sneak into the camp from, and how many Rabins are guarding the camp," she listed off. She shifted into a hawk and opened her wings, ready to take off.

Fabine shrugs "you never gave me orders Vera. I'm not joking around about this second thing. I'm not supposed to make this easy on you. I said I'd follow orders not make my own." He says calmly.

Vera took a deep breath and slowed to a halt. "You're right," she agreed reluctantly. It just feels so weird to have to give orders to Fabine of all people, she thought with a sigh. She glanced at him and tried again. "Let's try to get an idea of what we'll be dealing with inside the Rabin camp. We'll head a bit closer, can you shift and do a flyover of their camp?" She narrowed her eyes slightly. "I'm going to shift and try to catch up with that girl and steer her away from the Rabin camp. As soon as you're done, we'll meet back here." She paused, and decided to add some obvious commands, too. "Don't get caught, don't get kidnapped, don't take too long, okay?"

Fabine chuckles, amused at this point. He decodes to mess with the Rabin. Je walks towards her and pretends nor to see her. "Hmmm...." he looks around, everywhere except where she was. He then let's his eyes rest on her. "Ah, I aee!" He glances at Vera, deciding to make her job harder. He waves the Rabin away before going back over to Vera. "There's just one over there."

Nova couldn't breathe while Fabine looked up, down, and all around her. When his eyes finally met her's, she felt sick to her stomach, but was confused when he backed away and waved at her to go. She noticed he only had a dagger and couldn't attack her from far away, so she decided to trust her gut. Eyes still wide, she suddenly leapt to her feet and made a mad dash for the camp.

Vera's eyes widened in astonishment. "What the fuck? This isn't a game of hide and seek, Fabine!" she snapped exasperatedly, attempting to fire an arrow at the fleeing Rabin, but missing nonetheless. She sighed and sprinted after the Rabin, desperate to land a single blow to slow her down and prevent her from alerting the entire Rabin camp.
