It's gonna be gas. Can't wait to see what sort nonsense you can pull of in focus mode with the funlance and hunting horn. Also, looking forward to new monsters to skin and wear as hats.

"Yeah, I ended up fighting the same sightless we fought again. Her healing ability got interrupted wherever the salt got into the wounds. Started getting brown spots like a bruised fruit, as the fight went on. Didn't kill her, but I did end up wounding her and her pride." Jen would reply to Chres.
I have no preference.

You can just separate the ghost die from the pool.

@rocketrobie2

For my character, I was thinking points would be gained from fights with like a large amount of enemies or after fighting a named. Hitting certain thrilling points in the story, or some player shenanigans lending to a good thrill.

For setting I'm fine with wherever, although I think reusing NY would be too stale. Maybe NJ for proximity and some spooky stuff in the pine barrens. Time-wise I'm good with both, although I'm leaning towards modern cuz I was thinking that maybe my guy likes to stream the busting, and it can have some stupid ghostbusters branded name for it.

@rocketrobie2

Yeah, I'll get around to filling out the CS in mspaint. Can I have a custom motivation of "thrills"?

Also what's the setting for this game? Are we like going to be setting this 30-40 years back to be more contemporaneous with where the movies left off? Or are we going for a more current time, such as with the game.
Busting makes me feel good

Yeah I'd be interested in playing this
"The jade candles have their use, but they not the thing I'm referring to. Turns out the sightless react as poorly to salt as the heart does. It interrupts their healing ability, and you'll see it working by how the little vines wilt and the afflicted area wilt. It also seems to hurt extra, but who cares about that." Jen would say rather straightforwardly.

"Problem is now they know that we know about this weakness. So, I expect them to fight extra hard as well targeting our supplies of it. But again, they could get overwhelmed with some good hits and coordination. It really depends on who's able to be the better fighter." Jen would add. Having just fought Syella alone he knew they'd be tough, but in a group and with some salt he wondered if they might not even end up killing one by overwhelming them with enough hits to stunt the healing ability.
Jen had managed to reunite with the group amidst the din of the invading army versus the cultists' legion. He noticed that among his fellow pactmakers that they were accompanied by soldiers. It felt odd being in the presence of military member, but it was unsurprising given who one of their members was and the nature of the situation. He figured, that it might help to have additional members with them. He was afraid his encounter with Syella would have delayed him, but it seemed he had arrived more or less on time.

Ahead of them lay the tunnels beneath Shimmertown. Once again, they'd have to go in again, and once again they'd have to rely on the Kharu-Natjer's people to guide them. He didn't care for going back in again, but it sure beat the alternative of a head on attack against a horde of cultists. Chres would speak, asking about how they're feeling. Jen would look at his direction as he was reminded of his deal with Syella. That was a thing he was going to need to work out sooner than later.

Pocketing the lone jade crystal, he'd be the first to answer Chres' question, "It's been surprisingly productive. But I worried I was going to be late. I wonder how many sightless are going to greet us? The good news is we should be plenty equipped to take them on." He'd give a coy smile as he was obviously hinting at something.

It was still news to him that a meteor had crashed somewhere in the wilderness during the comet's appearance. Filo felt himself getting excited, as it sounded like the beginning of an adventure. More so, it would be one that he would be actively participating in front and center. The task was deceptively simple, go to the direction where the meteor fell, find the rock, and set up a base for the geology people to study it there. The challenge would lie in the gaps between and during those steps.

"Name's Filo. Anyway, what's the area we're entering like? Will we be needing to pack hot or cold drinks? Is there anything to the terrain that will require care or perhaps some tools for traversing it? Also what's the timeframe for this and how often do you want updates on our progress? Will we be hauling the base construction materials from here or will it be something we take care of when we find that meteor?" It was a slight barrage of questions, but Filo knew they had to be thorough before marching in there.
Filo looked over the nearly endless amount of green bottles all neatly lined up on racks. It was the product of him and some other volunteers taking hours to go through heaps of herbs, mushrooms, and gallons of honey. All to produce both the basic healing potion and it's more potent brother, the mega potion. Despite these being something a novice learns to concoct on the field, the Astera general supplies store was there for a reason. And with its existence came the people who labored to create its inventory of supplies.

"Alright I got my share of the potions done. Standard at the top racks and the megas on the lower ones." He'd say to the supervising Felyne.

"Purr-fect! Don't forget you're entitled for a couple of these yourself on top of the meal vouchers for volunteering to this. And thank you for your coopurration" The Felyne replied.

"No, but thank you. Honestly I just need to give more honey samples to the farm, starting to run low on it." He said with a smile. Filo definitely burned through it on making higher end consumable, but really he was burning through it to make gallons of mead he kept in pots to ferment in the heat. The next batch would be done at the end of the month and he was looking forward to tasting it.

As Filo passed through the storehouse built into the rock, he'd pass by an elderly wyverian. "Hey sonny, the geological department is looking for volunteers to do some sort of scouting mission. Seems like a better use of your talent than doing some gruntowork for greenhorns." Se'd say with a smile.

"Anything for a free meal or three, but I'll take a look. Been a while since I've had some fun in the field." Filo replied fanning himself with the tickets.

The wyverian would chuckle as he left her and headed to the geological department. It wouldn't take too long for him to find it. Filo had gained a intimate knowledge of the more background operations of Astera given he had many tasks involving taking things or talking to the various people on behalf of others. Dr. Paeris Daelen the sign would say, and he'd push the door and see there three other hunters. They seemed younger and were also ready to deploy from the likes of it. Unlike him, who was dressed casually and without any weapon.

"Hello there, I'm here for this mission? I also assume you three will be my future teammates?" He'd say.
