So couple questions, would it be like Star Trek with Humans and Alien races living together as a normal thing or would Aliens be a new thing to the galaxy and thus still mistrusted, or is there no Aliens at all like Firefly?

Weapon Transformations: Blazeguard is a shield worn length wise (fig. 2) of the forearm with a grip to stabilize it when taking hits, Joyeux the sword is stored in a Sheath laid along the length of the shield beside twin barrels which are a hidden shotgun built into the shield. The Shotgun is activated by a palm depression on the grip and loaded by shells stored around the wrist of the wielder.
Version 1: Blade and Board, Basic sword and shield for a mix of offense and defense.
Version 2: Blade and Blaze, a quick transition where the shield is not used for defense but instead wielded like a wrist mounted shotgun.

Semblance: Iron Aegis/Focus Point - Noami is able to focus her aura in two ways by channeling it through her weapons. With the shield she can spread it into a invisible barrier to protect herself or others behind her, stretching it too thin by making the barrier larger weakens it however. With the sword Naomi puts her aura along the blade or just the tip to help her cut through or pierce hardened objects.

I think it could be fun, there was an old rp on here way back when on the old site that had anthro characters. It was a mecha battle type setting, it was pretty cool.
I also remember an old one that had the characters living as different genres of music in a digital world.
