Bio

Just an average anime/movie fan with a lot of spare time. I'm 24 years old, and I'm from Singapore. I don't really have much going on in my life right now, so I thought it would be nice hanging out in this forum for a while.

Fate/Extra isn't the Fuyuki Grail War. The Fuyuki Grail is like the 726th Grail War or some such number. In fact, Waver Velvet (Lord El-Melloi II) actually fought in a second Grail War with Alexander the Great (watch Fate/Zero.) In fact, the Mage's Association considers Grail Wars to be backwater rituals because there are so many.
Ah, my Fate knowledge is clearly rusty. By "The Fuyuki Grail War", you mean the war that takes place in Fuyuki City, right? I thought there has only been five Grail Wars as of Fate/Stay Night, and four as of Fate/Zero? Anyway, it's obvious that I have some misconceptions about the lore, so if you have Skype, we could talk about it over the messenger. Otherwise, we could converse through PMs, as this conversation seems like it's gonna take a little while to clear up the confusion.
King David vs Jesus, Ancestor vs Descendant Problem: what class would Jesus be? He only qualifies for Avenger and Saver.
True, but Saver was considered an official class in Fate/Extra, so I don't see a problem (unless Fate/Extra isn't legit?). That said, Jesus' omnipotency would probably cause him to become a game-breaker like Gilgamesh, unless we're talking about the demigod Jesus chronicled in the Gospels.
Eh, why not? As long as I can use King David, I'm good.
Technically, King David's a mythical (or in this case, religious) figure.
King David qualifies as a heroic servant. He was going to be used in Fate/Apocryoha, and will be used in Fate/Grand Order
Mhm... Fair enough. I don't see why not. I haven't worked out all the mechanics of the RP yet, so things can still be altered here and there for now. It's just that, I'd be using someone from an alternate reality, and I feel it's more fitting if all the Servants are people who can't be summoned in the Fate universe (mythical beings like Heracles, or even Jesus, can be summoned in the Fate canon), since the story of the RP deals with the Fate universe clashing with other universes.
And yes, I am very versed in Fate mechanics. In the mechanics of the whole Nasuverse. because everybody has to correct me.
Hah. That's good to hear. I could use your expertise then. :)
Eh, why not? As long as I can use King David, I'm good.
Technically, King David's a mythical (or in this case, religious) figure. I'm only looking for completely fictional characters, stuff of stories that are total fantasies.
The Fifth Holy Grail War. Fuyuki City was once again thrown into disarray as another series of battles were waged between historical and mythological figures of all kind. During this cycle, however, a completely fictional character who should not exist had also been summoned into reality. Taking note of this intriguing outcome, Kirei Kotomine began exploring the potentials of fictional Servants being brought into existence; partly for his own curiosity, partly for investment for future Grail Wars... in case his schemes for the Fifth War were to fail. In secret, Kirei began researching extensively into Zelretch's Second Magic, specifically the opening of portals into parallel worlds. He also gathered information about the legendary "Kaleidoscope", the means to opening said portals, and after exhaustive effort, he even made himself a decent replica. However, being a cheap imitation, the tool did not summon the specific portal he had in mind, and a being from another world was led into his...
Rather than being alarmed, Kirei was curious, as he usually was. He learned about the existence of Incubators, their lack of emotions, and most interestingly, the 'heat-death' of the universe, when all existing energy has spread out to colder sources to the very point that heat ceases to flow in all places, and in turn, the creature also explained its solution of incorporating human emotions as a means to solve the entropic apocalypse, particularly those of pubescent girls. When Kirei offered an explanation of his own world, as well as the Holy Grail Wars, he could have sworn that a tiny smirk had appeared on the creature's smug little face. Kyubey was equally intrigued by this exchange of data, and it learned about the summoning of fictional Servants, as well as the battle royale that took place at least every sixty years. And when Kirei explained the reason Kyubey had entered into his reality, its smirk grew into a fully-arched grin. It made a proposal of sorts to grant Kirei the power of the Second Magic, provided that he offered knowledge of this 'Holy Grail War' in return. When their business had reached a satisfying conclusion for both, Kirei, out of his insatiable curiosity, had to ask, "How did you acquire such a magnificent power to traverse through worlds?", and it merely answered...
"I had a little help."
This is a work in progress idea of a crossover between Fate/Stay Night and Madoka Magica, possibly one of the most popular "Fate" crossovers. It consists of fictional characters from all existence being summoned by the Holy Grail to a battle royale as Servants of their Masters, the Magi. That means, instead of historical figures like Alexander the Great or mythic beings like Heracles, fictional characters like Kojiro Sasaki, as well as Sherlock Holmes, Jack the Ripper, and possibly even Spider-Man, are all summoned into having one giant beat'em up. Who shall be the victor to take the Holy Grail this time? As I mentioned, this is still being worked on, and it's thus a mere interest check for now. The time the story is set in will be centuries after the Fifth Holy Grail War, the place will be Fuyuki City, and the timeline is an alternate timeline after events of "Fate/Stay Night" and the "Madoka Magica: Rebellion" movie (hence why Kyubey is cursed with the power of emotions; you might even say this plan is his act of revenge against all Magical Girls). To make things convenient, I'm hoping that I could draw fans of both series into participating, but I don't mind if those who aren't familiar with the lore joins in the fun as well, since there will be extensive summarisation of it in the OOC thread anyway. On another note, I'm also hoping that I could get someone who's more experienced with the "Fate/Stay Night" lore to cover any loopholes I might have missed with the canon of the universe. Someone with the knowhow on the details of the characters and the story that I might have forgotten or missed. So there it is. Leave a comment below if you are interested. The actual RP itself won't be happening for some time, but things might change if I get enough people on this (a six-roleplayer count is what I'm reaching for). Hope to hear from you soon!
What I Used to Look Like What I Relatively Look Like Now
While tending to the still woeful child, Sayaka was lured towards a series of racket that came rumbling through the hallway. With a click of her tongue, she stood up shaking her head at the latest commotion, unsurprised that another member of the volatile individuals had caused a riot among the crowd. “I’ll be back,” she remarked, briefly turning her eyes back to the young girl before marching her way towards the theater. A few steps after she left, however, Sayaka found herself stumbling upon Gorrendil once again, in tears no less. She arched her brows in concern, unknowingly blushing pink in the process, but before she could ask, her attention was yet again drawn to the persistent uproar from the other room. She returned her eyes to Gorrendil, offering him an apologetic nod, before continuing with her trip. As she impatiently stomped through the passageway, she pondered on the kind of disorder that had taken place this time. When she finally stepped through the doorway, a chaotic scene awaited her: the theater seats that were welded into the floor were being tossed like rag-dolls across the hall. The metallic brute who had been fired upon earlier was now mindlessly ploughing through anything and everything. Just as Sayaka was wrapping her head around this madness, she quickly noticed the cause of the titan’s berserk - a glowing butterfly seemingly made out of dust. Sayaka slammed a glove against her face with brute force. ”A butterfly of all things… you’ve gotta be kidding me.” Sliding her palm out of the way, Sayaka was dubious for an instant whether to bring the childish actions to a halt. But all it took was an observation of the damage being done for anyone to understand the potential dangers others would be put in. With a heavy shake of her head, she sighed. She really didn’t want to do this. Instantly, a sabre suddenly appeared in Sayaka’s grip. She raised the blade against her own arm - and then she proceeded to slice it. All it took was a mild cut across her skin, and crimson blood came pouring out all over her white and blues. But as soon as the stream of red began its flow from her limb, Sayaka immediately swung her arm in an 180 angle, propelling the stream of blood in front of her. Following the momentum, her bloodied cape swung along Sayaka’s movement as well, but in the matter of a few short seconds, the blue-haired girl was completely engulfed within the clothing. Her mantle would follow suit and vanished into thin air as well. In almost the same instant, across the surface of the thick red liquid flung through the air, one could possibly spot, given a sharp enough eye, a pale reflection of an armored titan similar to P.E.K.K.A., but larger… much, much larger, as one would learn when the room became enveloped under the shadow of the blood, blood that had transformed into a rose-red veil hovering above the theater, a giant half-knight, half-mermaid creature screened along the wrinkled fabric. And when the summoning ritual, lasting not more than five seconds, had came to an end, the veil swooped to the ground, and the mermaid witch Octavia von Seckendorff stood in its place. A melancholic orchestral music began booming through the theater, as if harkening the coming of this massive titan 30-40 times the size of an average human - a full-grown adult male would fit nicely in her iron grasp. But as breathtaking as it might have been, one wouldn’t be able to take in the grand sight before him, as Octavia had began moving as swiftly as she appeared, already thrusting her proportionately-scaled cutlass towards the smaller titan running amuck. The tip of the blade struck a spot among the theater seats that P.E.K.K.A. was about to enter. With the width of the sword being merely half of her target’s size, it was not going to become much of an obstruction for P.E.K.K.A. - had she intended her sword to be an obstruction. Instead, Octavia meant for the sword to startle the creature - if it was even possible - as she attempted to grab her with the other gauntlet. Surely, this would at least put some tension onto the brute’s movement. Amidst the confusion, one might wonder of the location Sayaka had teleported to, or if she had indeed transformed into the monstrous witch form she had so much trouble being rid of. However, if one would pay heed to Octavia’s top of the shoulder, he would see the puppeteer controlling the colossus. Her somber blue eyes were staring down the enemy without so much as a hint of fear, and yet bearing no ill intent. “Please, stop this madness before somebody gets hurt!” she yelled through the barrage caused by both the creature she was speaking to and her own witch form.
Sayaka dashed through the hallway with speed, her white cape fluttering behind. As she prayed for the safety of the child, she could not help wondered if there was such a child among the people she saw, for she could only recall Ib as the only one. "She had probably just arrived," she surmised. "She must be so frightened and confused..." With these thoughts clouding her mind, Sayaka picked up her pace. When she finally burst through the archway separating the gallery from the hall, she saw a little blonde girl on the ground bawling her eyes out, and similar to Ib, her hair was adorned with a pink flower. Sayaka noticed how hard the girl was crying, and that her whole tiny body was shaking. Sayaka's face softened up as she patiently trod towards River with light steps. She was reminded of another innocent girl who had also shed painful tears, though with a much softer mewing. She remembered having to fight off the schoolyard boys who were bullying the little pink-haired girl, before meeting dearest friend she would ever have. "Don't bully Madoka!" "Hey... it's okay," Sayaka spoke slowly as she squatted herself down to River's eye level, and with a gentle voice, in hope she would not startle the vulnerable little girl. When her hand reached for her quivering shoulder to comfort her, she noticed a familiar instrument on the child's back, and a deep sense of nostalgia hit the teenager. "Do you play, little girl?" A wide grin spread across Sayaka's cheeks as she awaited an answer, and she could not help tearing her gaze away from River and back onto the violin behind her. A charming boy in a smartly-dressed tuxedo flashed in her memory. Just a brief flash, containing more sweetness than the bitter taste she had once affiliated the boy with. "I would love to hear you play it," she continued, turning her earnest eyes back to her. But right then, she unwittingly rolled her pupils to her side and caught sight of a blurry object standing near the hallway. Combined with the presence she had felt ever since stepping into the room, particularly the same presence she had figured to be one of the many inhabitants in this structure, she realized that she had been secretly followed. Nevertheless, she remained silent for now. "There's a theater not far from here. Do you want to play your violin there, little girl? I'm sure the others would love to hear it as well."
