@Balthazar007 I had a question...
so I'm not sure where you mentioned this, but our IC battles don't have to match our pokemon showdown battles, correct? we can even use moves IC that are within reason for our pokemon, even if they aren't moves we can use in showdown?
so for example-- in the IC battle against sydney, if I had written it out in more detail, I could have had Hawka use fire spin or perhaps an egg move like Last Resort. correct? i just wouldn't be able to use those moves in showdown.
I'm curious because I really want to write some awesome combinations for the upcoming contests, but I was wondering if I could use egg moves to write them. off the top of my head, I wanted Hawka to know Last Resort or Feather Dance and Mimzy, Cosmic Power or Copycat. these wouldn't be moves that I use in showdown. these are just for IC purposes such as training, battles we don't need showdown for, and for contest appeals.
or perhaps even tutor moves? maybe i could write a post about how indigo's pokemon are taught by a move tutor and they gain a new move to use for strictly IC purposes, not showdown. or maybe you would rather set these events up?
so I guess I'm trying to clarify-- it seems our IC moves can be different from our showdown moves. and I'm wondering how creative we are allowed to be with them, if that makes sense. I'm sure we have to write about our pokemon learning these moves, right? For example if I wanted hawka to eventually learn feather dance, could I make it established as an egg move or should i write about how a move tutor taught it to her? again, these moves will not be for showdown! just for IC...
hopefully that all made sense! I don't mind using showdown, but I just want the ability to have my pokemon learn whatever moves they can for story purposes and writing interesting battles/appeals for fun, if that's makes sense.
