Bio

I'll keep this short and sweet, maybe. I've been roleplaying since I was 14 back on the forums of some old zombie browser game and have had a soft spot for it ever since. I like to believe I've gotten at least a bit better over the years, but I still find myself shying away from the Advanced RP's. Was a member on Oldguild for around a year before the fall, but have been on-again-off-again with the new site for about the same time. Have tried other places, but I soon grew tired of them and find my way back here. I enjoy fantasy, sci-fi, and sometimes slice of life RP's, though I'm not a fan of doing canon RP's, as I like making my own characters. This isn't to say I don't like playing in fandom worlds, as I love them, but just not playing as one of the actual characters from whatever show/book/movie/comic it's from.

Outside of all that I'm currently enrolled in college and work full time in the receiving department of a warehouse.

Would you like me to make a CS for the Vampire Emperor?

Oh yeah? Would you mind telling me what you liked about it, or what seemed successful or not?

It was an RP called "Spookhouse" and had to do with a mixed group of individuals working together to protect the world from the occult. So there was a lot of room for growth with the players since we started out just meeting, then going on all these subsequent adventures full of actions, thrills, drama, and banter between the group. What worked for it was the diverse cast of characters that were all working together, so from start to finish you saw all of the characters changing due to the people around them and the places they'd been together. Plus all of the challenges we faced were great as well, challenging enough to really make you think about what your character's going to do, but not so jarring that it pushed you away from the story. So tying it all together, it was the group dynamic, adventure, and action that really made that RP for me. As for things that didn't work, I can't think of anything. It was one of those golden RP's that seemed to just hit the right amount with everything.

Hopefully that makes some sense.
From the way you described it, it sounds kind of like an RP I was in a long time ago when I first joined the site. Definitely interested.
Sounds good, just letting you know I'm alright to do so if need be.
Come on people, we need some more blood in this RP!
Sorry to say, but will be pulling my hat out of the ring. Sorry folks, I wish the best of luck to you and the success of this RP!
I don't think you need to change the lore to much, as far goes as the Elves and slaves, as it isn't an uncommon practice to imprison those that could throw a wrench in the war machine. The US did it during WWII with the internment camps, though they weren't slaves they were still prisoners of war. Looking back on it it is ridiculous and horrible to have ever been allowed to happen, but at the time it only made sense since we were in a two pronged war that we weren't sure we would win. Drawing parallels between real life and the Elven/Human War shows that during war time, especially when everything you've got is being pushed into the war effort, sometimes hard choices have to be made.

Though I do disagree with the multitude of executions you hinted at happening after the war was done. That seems like it'd be a horrible decision, as it would surely just reignite the war once more. Especially since King Erik would take it as blatant disrespect to himself, seeing as they would be his soldiers/citizens that were being executed after a peace treaty was signed between the two kingdoms. Just my $0.02 on the subject. Don't mean to add anymore work on your shoulders, being you are the GM after all.

Also, as far goes as starting, I think the king/queen of each faction should be in place, since they'll be the ones pulling the major strings throughout the story. One RP I showed interest in is now starting to feel boring to me, so I wouldn't mind writing a CS up for the Vampire Emperor. I know you don't want one person writing for two spots on the major roles, but being that the vampires are working behind the scenes and are out to crush both the Elven and Human kingdoms, it wouldn't be that hard to write. I have experience controlling characters that are opposed to one another in other RP's, so it wouldn't be new for me to do. Though I understand your rules and will gladly wait for more people to show up to claim the roles. I'm just excited to get this one going is all.

I am currently a full time student at a local community college working towards my AA in English. I hope to become a teacher someday for English/Literature, but my big dream is to become an author and be able to support myself from that.
Name: Bradley Gibson
Deity of: Lies, Trickery, Luck, and Chance
Age/DoB: 32/ March 21, 1988
Gender: Male
Appearance: Close to what he looks like
Personality: Very charming, seemingly happy go lucky guy, can be cold/calculating, chaotic neutral, very passive aggressive, and a bit of a clown at times.

Background: Bradley was just your typical corporate sleeze, clawing his way higher and higher in the firm he'd been recruited for after finishing college. He's always been his biggest fan, looking out for what's best for him and doing whatever it takes to ensure his ever growing success. Friends and family would say he needs to relax and enjoy life more, but he didn't care what they had to say. Though he didn't really have any friends, not counting the people he manipulated in the workplace to aid in his own personal ascension. Not that he didn't care about other people, as he does, especially those who are under him since without their help he wouldn't be where he was now. He respects those beneath him and despises those above, but if we got to the core of his person, we would find a man who sees both sides of the coin. It just so happens that he tends to lean more towards the side that benefits himself the most.

This is done for the most part, but I'll round out the edges when my brain isn't as cluttered. I feel he'll blossom more IC, so I don't want to throw to much into his CS.
