Come in! Come in! Please, peruse my wares and see what might be to your liking! My stock is not for everyone, I know. No common fandoms, no vampires or elves, no manga or anime, no plotless pairings or common geekery. All these things *do* have their value! It is simply not my stock and trade. But for the discerning patron, the person looking for something a little different? There, my friend, I might be of some service!
"What sort of person?" I hear you ask. Hm, yes, perhaps some details to help you decide might be in order. Firstly, I am looking for a writing partner to play the female roles to my male roles. Such a writing partner would be legally an adult and mature, with good grammar and spelling, and capable of writing in a mid-Casual to Advanced style. Quality is preferred over quantity, of course. Such a partner should be exactly that, a partner, capable of creating and running additional characters as the story may require, a story that that both parties should equally contribute to; the initial premises below are my inventory, but they are all extremely customizable to your taste and preference.
A taste for things dark and mature is appreciated, yet humor is also an important consideration. The capability to post a few times a week is strongly preferred, but not required; real life will rudely interrupt even the best of us. Communication? Yes, please! Constructive criticism will not make me close up shop and ban you from the store, nor should you feel offended by any advice I might offer. The last thing I wish to do is disrespect or offend anyone! Should things not work out or if the product is not as you hoped, let me know! The nice thing about writing is that if things go wrong, we can always backtrack and rewrite! And, if in the end you find it is just not your proverbial cup of tea, simply notify customer service. There are no hard feelings. Some times things just do not work out.
Myself? Ah. I would like to think that I am all of the above, though I no doubt do have my faults, some of which include: abuse of the uncommon semi-colon; a tendency to use archaic idioms, spelling, and words; and when over excited I may accidentally skip over a word. Forgive me mine as I shall forgive you yours? I am willing and able to play multiple characters, including female. All in all, I am a cashiered poet: a forty something year old man who sold his soul to the company store and has only started in stealing it back. My limits are few and far between, although in the end the story is all.
Now if none of that has driven you screaming out of the shop, allow me the humble pleasure of highlighting my offerings. The male characters are the ones I would prefer to play as my primary.
On Sale - Now offering custom orders! Is there a pairing you are dying to do? Has some craving been eating away at your attention span to the exclusion of all else? A discreet communique with the proprietor (PM) indicating your desired pairing and at least the formations of a premise, and the store will be glad to see if we can accommodate you! (The shop reserves the right to not serve anime/fandoms/fanfics of any kind. Original characters and settings only, please.)
Something more modern, perhaps? Set in the world of Repo: The Genetic Opera and prior to the events in the movie, the male hero is on the run. One of the oldest accounts past due, he has successfully avoided having his replacement Geneco heart repossessed, and now smuggles other debtors out into the Wastelands and away from the Repo Men. Only not all Repo Men are, in fact, men. A talented female surgeon is one of Rotti's prized hunters. At least until she has a day off and is attacked by a thugs, brigands who are then driven off by the man who knows how to keep from being tracked! When she finds out, will she help him in his little rebellion? Or will she lead him along until she uncovers his secrets and then... collect what's owed?
During the bombing of London during the First World War, a German Zeppelin is shot down over the English countryside. By sheer chance and luck, one of the airmen survives the crash but is badly injured. A former nurse, now a conscientious objector, lives in the same country side and discovers the wounded German. Hiding him from the authorities, he must rely upon her for his survival even as she wrestles with herself over helping a man that belongs to the enemy's military, the same military responsible for her husband's death at the start of the war. An alternative version would be his discovery by an older school girl whose father or brother was killed.
Not what you might think, it's a fiction set in the world of BioShock and the city of Rapture before its fall. He is a gambler with a lot of debts owing, and Franky Fontaine's men want payment. The female character could have any one of a number of occupations! But when the two of them start to uncover Fontaine's plans to take over Rapture, they are both in greater danger than they imagine. This is tragic romance, with the title being a spoiler as to the man's fate.
Lonely teenagers do such silly things, like reading spells out of trashy new-age paperbacks to try and alleviate the misery they perceive their lives to be. So when the young one recites an ancient spell to bind a demon/spirit/elf to service, it is understandable when the subsequent disappointment sets in as nothing noticeably changes. Yet over time, things do get better. The awkwardness of puberty is left behind as one goes from Middle School to High School, and then from High School to College, and what emerges from these formative years is much as a butterfly coming out of a caterpillar. Only it seems the spell did do something after all, and now the entity called wants payment for its services...
A soldier, perhaps in the Great War, is trapped in No Man's Land. In the midst of the shelling, he spies a young woman in white wandering about the battlefield. As the war progresses, he sees her more and more often and starts to fall in love with her. Who is she? A fragment of a dream? A time traveler? You decide! (Just not a ghost, please! Tried it a few times, never works out.) This can make for a great steampunk story!
Placed in the generic Irish or Scottish countryside of early 19th Century, a young lord has just inherited his uncle's country manor. To celebrate his new found wealth and position, he hosts a grand hunt. The quarry? The mysterious black hare that the locals seem to hold in both fear and awe. Only when he gets separated from the rest of the party and loses his way in the woods, it is a young woman living in an ancient cottage who comes to his aid. A young woman he takes a fancy to, despite the fine ladies his mother continues to press upon him. Later, he hears from his guests how they almost caught the hare, one dog had her by the leg even! And then the young man recalls how this wood wife walked with a limp, her leg freshly bandaged.
in the spirit of Dick Turpin and Dennis Moore, this tale takes place in the undefined English countryside of the 18th Century. A retired army officer and his meek wife have come to their country manor for a rest after his return from America. Stuck in a loveless marriage, the officer spends most of his time at the local tavern annoying the owner's daughter. She, however, is interested in the highwayman who has recently begun to prey upon the wealthy as they travel to and from London; he is far more dashing and charming than the army officer, even if she's never seen his face, and he brings her such pretty presents! When the local militia is called out to deal with the rogue, several truths are revealed that will affect everyone. The end to this will probably be tragically romantic.
An orphan turned soldier has returned to his village to recover from his wounds after a great war. While attempting to readjust to simple, farming existence he meets a younger woman from a great city. The squalor and expense of the over crowded urban center have driven her to seek a new life in the country. Over time they become interested in one another, start courting and may eventually marry. Perhaps even children. Until a man from the government comes from their door with news that will ruin their happy life together. This can have near any setting (fantasy, steampunk, pre-20th Century historical) but would be very much an adult orientated and dark ending.
Once there was a lord who had a beautiful daughter, and he often threw grand parties and balls for her. At once such gathering in the spring, she falls for a wandering minstrel. In the foolishness of their youth, the young lovers promise themselves to one another. The minstrel leaves to find his fortune, promising to return to her within a year and a day. After the allotted time and much personal sacrifice, he arrives at the manor with a great fortune... just in time for her marriage to another man. Perhaps their tryst was meaningless to her, she thought him dead, the marriage was an arranged one that she could not avoid, or she fell more in love with this new man than him. Now she is torn between the oaths she's sworn. Worse, is really the minstrel who has returned to her or something far more sinister?
And so if any of these capture your heart and imagination, please let me know! Post here, message me (when it's working) or even email me at tamminnanny AT gmail DOT com. General comments are welcome, as are alterations or suggestions as to how to make these tales even better. If you like my style but find these particular offerings not to your taste, I will be more than glad to entertain anything you might propose! Oh, and free sample are available upon request!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I wish you the joy of the day!
