@jynmi88That's what the dog Devil Fruit was translated as, though. The Japanese one is just Inu-Inu no Mi, which is literally just "dog-dog fruit". XD So all canine-based Zoans are different models of that one.

Ah! Well, I stand corrected. lol
:)

---------Edit
Name aside, how do you feel about the abilities? I know sometimes people are kind of iffy about players using legendary Zoan devil fruits
@Rin

@jynmi88Ah um sorry. ^^; Got kind of... This week wasn't too good for my inspiration or motivation or whatever sorry. ^^; I need to work on my stuff I guess um but yeah.

...Also shouldn't it be "Mutt-Mutt Fruit, Model: Husky"? XD

Haha It's okay. Things happen.

Uhhh. Kind of, but a husky isn't a mutt, because mutts are just dogs who aren't pure breeds ^_^;
shame this didn't work @-@
Greetings and salutations.

For a variety of reasons, not the least of which is how terrible the hours at my job are, I've decided to try my hand at doing youtube videos. Now, before I go any further, I don't have any illusions of making it big, or even being able to make a living off it. Really, if I could use it to keep myself busy(and my depression at bay), make a bit of cash on the side to help with bills, and get fee-back on my writing(which is really what I want to do for a living) I'll be happy.

There are a lot of things I want to do with the channel, but I figure doing reviews for short things like mangas or comics would be the best to place to start and get practice. I settled on doing One Piece because 1. I've always wanted to read the series from start to finish, 2. There are a lot of chapters so I don't have to worry about running out any time soon, 3. The fan base is active so hopefully there'll be some people who'll watch and let me know what works and what doesn't, 4. The chapters are readily available at a variety of sources, 5. There's a single cannon series, which can't be said for comic books, which makes it a whole lot simpler!

Here's my first review youtube.com/watch?v=gCiIKX67U9w&t=2s
Here's my latest review youtube.com/watch?v=tkfprvRUCKg&t=15s

I'm not sure if there's been any improvement but I like to think so. Now, if that means I'm getting better at actually making videos or lying to myself, I don't know, but the point is there's been improvement.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, there are some things I'd like to ask the people of roleplayerguild. Before anyone says anything, yes, I've done research on a lot of these things and asked people in person, but I feel that this website does have a unique blend of creators and fans which could give fee-back I couldn't get anywhere else.

1. Is there a particular format that would work best with these videos? Honestly, this is the biggest issue I have.
- Should I do a video that starts of with a short synopsis about the chapter and then just go on a discussion for things I liked, didn't like, or moments I found interesting or funny?
-Would it be better to break the chapter into a beginning, middle and end. Then, after describing a part, comment on the things that stuck out?
- Would doing it organically be better like just read the chapter once or twice, take a few notes and then start talking?
-What about organizing the discussion so that instead of following parts in the order it comes out in the chapter, I follow the events of one character then another... This one is a bit difficult to explain. The best way I could think of to describe it is the Simpson's episode that followed the various family members of their adventures so that each part got shorter and shorter.
-What about a scene for scene description, with each description followed by a comment?
-Do I even need to describe the events of the chapter at all? Maybe focus on only the events which I have comments for and leave people to fill the blanks themselves?

2. As far as performance goes?
-Do I need to speak louder or do I talk too loud?
-Is there anything about my posture that's stiff or off putting?
-Should I sit higher or lower when facing the camera?

3. Production quality?
-How is the sound in general?
-The video?
-Does the background bother anyone, and if so what kinds of backgrounds do people like to see in videos like these?

4. Is there a time range I should shoot for on these kinds of videos?

5. Is there anything else I might of missed?

An elderly man, with a heavy sack slung over his back, smiled out at the ocean. It was a lovely day and despite his dislike of crowds, the perky enthusiasm of the marines was getting to him. With the sun in his face, he couldn't help but smile.

The sun's face on the clear blue water could only hold his attention for so long before movement caught his eye.
Someone by a boat, shouting something, sounding merry. The elderly man smiled and raised his arm to the approaching figure. "Morning there, good sir! You look like you're on a good mood. Bet, you're here for the celebration too, eh?"

@Stern Algorithm
Gee heard the commander speak, and got what the words meant, at least individually, but when the words were put together in the order the man was using them, it became a mess. It was like an artist taking all the colors of the rainbow and smearing them together till each was lost in a shit colored brown. "Uh." He said, unable to stop himself from that, and then failed at thinking of anything that wouldn't leave him looking like an idiot.

The female officer wasn't as dull as Gee. In fact, for a marine, she was downright average. The words of the commander sunk deep into her, and flooded her face with scarlet. She tried to keep the smile down, but it was way too buoyant and the corners of her lips raised. "Sir! We'll do our best." She snapped to attention again, despite the commander's words. Then, as if the impact from her hand against her forehead jumbled the facts in just the right way. "Uh sir? If you guys are all marines, how come nobody else has their uniforms on?"

@Archmage MC
@GloopertheWooper
"Pssst." A shallow voice called to the pirates. "You two must be new to the island, and pirating in general." The words were coming from a stranger with black hair, blacker eyes, and skin pale enough to reflect the sun and blind eyes that looked directly upon it. "Because experienced individuals don't go around here, saying things like that."

Uh. Bump?
@Rin
Alrighty! Well, I'll start thinking about the starter.

I know I was going to put a finished CS when I got home from work, but today was exhausting and I have nothing left. It's not finished, but I think its a good idea of how the character's going to be. Please let me know if you see anything wrong :)
WIP
Name: Lemmon D. Jack
Alias: Howling fist
Age: 19
Appearance: Lemmon D. Jack is a muscular individual with wide shoulders. He stands 6'4, weighing 275 lbs. He has curly black hair that he keeps in a pony tail. His left eye is blue and his right eye is brown. His traditionally attire consist of a dark blue shirt, black pants. He prefers going barefoot, but will put on sandals if the ground is hot.
Personality:
Background:Will be revealed in story (because I"m still working out the kinks.)
Abilities: Lemmon D. Jack ate the legendary zoan type devil fruit, the husky fruit, which allows the user to fully transform into a large, mushing dog with thick white and black fur, or a partial transformation. Aside from the regular abilities a typical zoan type fruit would bestow, the husky-husky fruit also grants a user a few additional bonuses:
Fur- A user of the husky-husky fruit is capable of controlling the amount of excess fur their body produces.
Cold Immunity- A person using the husky-husky fruit's ability is unaffected by cold. In fact, cooler temperatures are not only harmless against the user, but low enough temperatures can increase the user's endurance.
Note.-Although a user of the husky-husky fruit is immune to effects of cold, they are not immune to cold attacks. A spear of ice can pierce the user's hide as easily as anyone else's.
Note.-Higher temperatures have a similar effect to a user of a husky-husky fruit but in reverse; that is, using the fruit's power while it hotter temperatures causes the user to tire quicker.

@Rin
yep. looks like we're set.
I'll get a cs set up after work.
Would you like to lead the first arc or would you prefer I do it?
@Rin
starting off after a round with the most terrible crew imaginable seems like a good place to start. also, I think they'd be in east ble since they would never make it to anywhere else.
I'm fine with either of those purposes. although, I think they'd try for doing it on their own at first because of the experiences wth the last crew
@Rin
Sounds like a plan.
Since we're going the straw hat route, would I be correct in assuming our characters are going to start out as competent rookies?
