Oh dear, I had a bit of a mind-fart, thought the HQ was also in New York for a bit there.Well no wonder he was late then. Sleep well.
Peter lay in his bed entombed in sleep. The sudden abrasive tones of the alarm clock forced him awake. Rising from bed he slung on the closest T-shirt whistling to himself. Peter could hear his aunt downstairs, ever since Uncle Ben had died she'd started waking up extra early to ensure Peter had a productive day, there were few people who cared for him more than Aunt May did. Fortunately for Peter school was out at the moment which meant all the more time as Spider-Man. Aunt May was still blissfully unaware of Peter's secret identity and he intended to keep it that way, he had to for her own safety; If aunt may ever found out she'd go all 'it's too dangerous' and 'I've already lost your uncle' and the last thing Peter wanted to do was incur May's wrath.
Tossing his backpack containing 'science project stuff' over his shoulder Peter strode downstairs eating his food with zeal the likes of which the Parker house-hold had never seen. Immediately heading for the door Peter turned to his Aunt and with a goofy grin on his face yelled. "I'm off to meet friends, I'll be back for dinner." May smiled in her own knowing maternal way and responded. "Peter, don't forget to buy milk!" Peter simply nodded and took to the streets.
Ducking into an alleyway mild-mannered Peter Parker changed into Spider-Man. Today was a very important day for Peter, he was finally being accepted into the greater superhero community; after years of being slandered by 'The Daily Bugle' as a menace it was about time Spider-Man got the respect he deserved. Swinging through the streets with several whoops and hollers several civilians stopped to film the young hero on their cell phones.
Seeing the crowd gathered outside the headquarters a smile crept across Peter's face beneath the mask that hid his identity. A few bright lenses flashed at Peter but these weren't enough to throw him off his stride as he landed with a somersault in front of the headquarters. "Sorry I'm late folks, I had important Spider-Man only business to attend to." Peter flimsily bluffed.

I haven't been reading the red daughter arc. All the lantern series have slipped since Geoff Johns left.

Peter possesses several spider-like traits in his physiology such as his ability to cling to any surface using his limbs, this allows him to climb walls and move along other vertical surfaces. Peter has a sixth sense that takes the form of a tingling within his skull, this allows him to determine when he is in danger and where it is coming from, this allows him to use his super-human reflexes to dodge incoming attacks from assailants.
Peter has the relative strength of a spider allowing him to lift cars with ease, this strength also allows him to jump extreme heights. Peter is a child prodigy when it comes to bio-chemistry and through working off his fathers work he has constructed 'web shooters' that propel an adhesive similar to that of a spider's silk, this allows him to swing on this web and use it in the form of projectiles along side several other practical uses.
Brief bio: For as long as Peter can remember he'd lived with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Peter was generally ordinary his grades were slightly above average in all subjects bar biology which had an affinity for. Peter was often bullied by his fellow students for being a 'nerd' or being 'weak' while all of these statements were true; Peter was due for big changes in his life.
While on a field trip to Oscorp Peter wandered astray from his group to find himself in a strange room filled with silk fibers. A single spider descended on it's web and bit the adolescent. The next morning Peter woke up on the roof of the empire estate building after the strangest dream, he quickly realized what had happened. Originally abusing his powers Peter avoided fighting crime until this negligence lead to the death of his uncle. Now motivated by the loss of his only father figure and desperate to help all those in need he protects New York as Spider-Man.

Victor pretended to ignore Cheshire's blatant smuttiness, he had an image to uphold and to suddenly get all fired up over a woman just wasn't his style. After quickly looking Natalia over to ensure she was okay he chuckled and let go of her wandering blindly around the deck. As the rotors that propelled the ship whirred to life Victor was off balance for a second stumbling a few steps before regaining his balance. Victor had to be careful not to mess with the kinetic energy of the ship, one wrong move and they'd be left hanging in the air suspended with no momentum. Victor had very little understanding of his powers but now he was free he intended on learning as much about kinetic energy and collision theory as possible to ensure he could maximize in his powers.
Hearing Mindwarp's chirp over the intercom he smiled slightly. Looking out of a window his freedom finally hit him, he had been in that prison for so long and now he was back on the road, gazing out of the window he took off his mask to get a better look. He held the grey face-plate in his hand prepared to put it back on the second he heard anyone approach him.

Sorry to intrude, I was perusing and wondered whether this is still open for applicants, if it is I'd like to throw in Ultimate Peter Parker, if not you people have a funkadelic time!
