@Pink Snorlax The Lapi system was created to be as flexible as possible! Creating your own is the entire point! Subject to my discretion of course, but your idea seems good.

@BCTheEntity Hmm. I'm not sure how much info we should give about the King considering the party might just butt heads with him at some point, but for now, I say we move the sheet over, clipping some unnecessary details like equipment. Hell actually yeah I think I'll just transfer over the non-combat info. Once we create an actual thread, mind. I should do that soon come to think of it...
@Footman I love him. I don't know how else to say it but, this is. It's so good.

Nah but seriously, pretty cool character. I like him a lot. And with that, we're full up on slots, so unfortunately, unless someone drops out, we're full for now. I'll go ahead and put that in the header.
@Orion I don't see why not.
@Dragonbud Yeah, totally. If she's a Half-orc it's also pretty reasonable for her not being in a tribe at all too.
@Dragonbud Both the Tengus in the mountains and the Orcs live in tribes instead of living together with the other races, if thats what you mean by uncivilized.
Hey, sorry to bother you again, but I have a few more questions.

Firstly, are there any particular factions that are prejudiced against the use of Lapi? Something along the lines of "magic is heresy, burn the witch, blah blah blah". If so, are they a passive group, or do they often take (violent) action against Lapi users? If they do take action, what is the public's reaction, and how do they respond to this? What are their relations with other political and social groups?

In addition, is there any way to "cut off" an individual from using Lapi/abilities without needing to bludgeon them to death, like a sanctified area or a ground up herb you can slip in their drink? If not, what would be a common way for someone without Lapi abilities to take down someone with them?

Lastly, should I message you my CS or should I post it here?

I don't doubt there would be, after all, there will always people who don't like things, after all. Maybe a secret sect that can use magic naturally or something? If it's for your character's backstory, I'd be willing to hear any ideas you had if you wanted a group like that to exist.

As for Lapi negation... that's a lot harder to say. I want to say there has to be, but it's extremely rare. An herb that puts your soul in a dormant state or some such, maybe? I'll go ahead and say there is an extremely rare herb that can "put your soul to sleep" and make you unable to use Lapi for a certain amount of time. As for non-Lapi users combatting Lapi users, well, there are always ET's, and if you get close enough, some spells get very dangerous to cast, and some need a decent time to cast. It's not unheard of for some to focus entirely on other aspects of training, becoming almost superhuman in their ability.

As for your CS, feel free to post it here.
@Kafka Komedy By mold* I meant as in actually mold the crystal in your body. Like the nails on your extremities that look like continuations of the skin. That kind of molding to actually make it a part of your body.

Also since you said that the power and effects of the Lapis cannot be controlled when mined, meaning that you get what you get, can the power of lightning change between 2 different lightning Lapis? Lapi's A lightning is more powerful than Lapi's B one. Does the stamina used to activate them differ? If you master/manipulate Lapi B, does it limit the power of your lightning, making it weaker compared to Lapi A?

On another note, when using Lapis with passive abilities, does it slowly drain stamina from you little by little? Can some be activated/deactivated at will? Does the activation also cost stamina? Can you master/manipulate passive Lapis? Do you need to hold them in hand to actually gain from their buffs or just hold it in person, like in a satchel that you carry? Similar wise about other Lapis, like the lightning bolt one, do you need to hold it in your hand or having it in your pocket will suffice for casting it? If you master a lightning Lapi, is it easier to master another one of the same element or is it the same as mastering a fire one difficulty wise? Since manipulate costs extra stamina, if you have mastered Lapi A and Lapi B, both lightning, recreating Lapi's B effect by manipulating Lapi A costs more stamina than just straight-out recreating Lapi B I assume, just to clarify.

**Do you gain any additional buff to your spell if you use a Lapi crystal although you have already mastered it?**

Again, splitting things up here.

@Orion Now that Khint is mass producing them, yeah, they're actually common now, and, though prices are still higher than a well made blade, they used to be a lot more expensive when people had to search and even spelunk for them. So yeah, I think it's logical for a Lord to purchase some Lapi for his workforce.
Well I guess some just general information would be fine, like level of technology in the world and what the basic playable races are.

Technologically, the rifled flintlock has just been invented, though generally they're only for use against wild animals since it's cheaper to get some sort of offensive Lapis if you're going to use it repeatedly since ammo costs money.

Also, here's the race breakdown in the kingdom.

Humans: 30%
Elves: 20%
Dwarves: 20%
Halflings: 10%
Assorted Random Races (I.E. Dragonborn, Tengu, etc.): 20%

I'm pretty easy going on races though, just tell me what you were thinking of and I'll give the yay or nay. I'm also open to stuff from mythologies other than western, as mentioned above, tengu are a thing.
So, human children can be mutated by Lapi usage but does that also happen with grown ups?

And everyone can use Lapi but is there a limit to how much the crystal can be used consequently without stop?

Does it overheat, discharge then needs time to recharge or wear down the users own energy?

By what I read I'm guessing that a Lapi has the same effects no matter who uses them but when you said that master magis could manipulate it, do you mean that instead of a, for example, lightning bolt they can manipulate it to take the shape of an arrow or a lightning sword?

If there are multiple lightning Lapis with different effects, if someone masters one of them and learns to manipulate it, does it mean that he can virtuality be able to fabricate all lightning Lapis just from mastering and manipulating one? On a side note can you manipulate a Lapi without actually mastering it? So the magi can't recreate that Lapi 's effect by himself, he needs one to pull it off, but at the same time he has learned to manipulate said Lapi. So if he had a lightning spear Lapi, now he can manipulate it and change it to a lightning sword or lightning bolt. Now that Lapi for him* is a lightning Lapi with universal use, meaning that he can recreate all lightning Lapis from that single one he had.

What are the benefits of mastering a Lapi instead of just carrying it and using it besides the fact that you don't have to carry it on you all the time? Does the casting procedure change? Does it require more of your inner energy to be spent?

And finally, could you mold Lapis in your body? I mean if you molded a fire/water/earth/air on your body and learned to manipulate them all, you practically become the avatar.

I'll separate your question into parts.
1. Human children aren't mutated by using Lapi themselves, they're mutated by people using Lapi around the mother while pregnant. This means that adults can't obtain mutations either.

2. Generally, Lapi cost stamina. Use Lapi too much, and you'll pass out. Use them too too much, and you can die of exhaustion.

3. Occasionally they have cooldown periods where they can't be used, but they will never overheat. And yes, it does wear down the uer's energy.

4. Correct.

5. Yes, they can mimic other lightning based Lapi, but without mastering a Lapi, it's incredibly dangerous to attempt to manipulate an unmastered Lapis, and will backfire at least 99% of the time. But yes, if you have mastered a Lightning Lapis you can recreate all lightning based Lapi, at the cost of much higher stamina use.

6. The benefits of Mastering Lapi are listed thusly; You don't need to carry it around, you can manipulate it, and it costs less stamina. The casting procedure is kind of different, at least in style. Instead of pouring your energy into the Lapi, you pour it into your soul. But that's just fluff. You cast it pretty much the same, charge something with your stamina, make magic happen.

7. By mold I assume you mean master. Yes, if one did master a fire, earth, water, and air Lapi they could become the avatar. Unfortunately, that would take a lifetime of work from someone with good magical potential, like a human. That is a good idea for a folk hero though... expect to hear a bard singing about that whenever the group strolls into town actually.
