Mary nodded as she mentally took down the order she should close the gates in. Port, east, main. She also took note of the fact that, if she saw a large congregation of gang members, than the gang leader was probably near them. With that, she nodded to her boss and quickly ran over to the church.

As she entered, a few colleagues and friends greeted her, shaking her hand and hugging her. Hunter, too, was there, and the two hugged for the first time in a long time. They all asked her where she had been, to which she responded that she was on some business not specifically related to the Order, but had enough free time to help out at home. After a light conversation with Hunter, unboxed her new weapon, which he was holding for her.

Mary looked it over as she walked out of the church and began trekking to the port. It was a long jitte, a tool useful for striking blows and deflecting attacks. It was also quite lustrous and reflective, not a spec of dirt or rust on it. Mary was quite impressed with it, overall, and apparently, it had a special ability, to vibrate. Admittedly, she did want to test it out, and almost hoped some demons came at her just so she could see what it was capable of.
@ProPro Yeah, congrats dude.

I'm writing up a post right now, by the way, but don't expect it to be particularly good or long.
@MauveMarauder and @Bishop if either of you are still going to join I need you to make your characters soon. The plot won't start as soon as I make my first post, I'll let everyone do a little walking around town and the such first, but I do need confirmation that you're here, since there's someone else who can take the spot.
@BCTheEntity Seems good.

@Pink Snorlax Depends, are they a suspected Lucumbro sympathizer? If so, who cares if they're poor! If they wear their allegiance to the Firebirds on their sleeves? Lynch the bastard who trodden on the poor!

I think you mean:

Hot red-head that Mendrake is totally gonna fall for at some point in this story, thus reducing our tale into an epic romance that proves once and for all that love will always prevail over the coldest of hearts and the most uncertain of minds.

In fact I might go ahead and change Izerk into a Cherub. Can never have enough cherubs in these fantasy settings.

And at the very end they both make Kait their adopted daughter even though she's already reached the age of maturity for Rat Beastmen.
@Orion I don't think there needs to be a dedicated posting order, just wait two posts before posting again. As for how long we wait before we call someone inactive, I say a week without warning.

@Pathfinder Eshi seems good. And yeah, Kait is going to be both immensely curious and cautious about Eshi.
@Pink Snorlax It's cool. The town does have guards, but they'll be the ones escorting the townsfolk to the gallows. They wear cheap iron helms, chainmail shirts, and leather greaves. They wear the standard Firebird White and Red Phoenix symbol on their chests. The men are at about average level, in both skill and equipment. Some have swords, some have spears, and some are even wielding axes. The swordsmen all have shields. They do enforce the law, the law being "side with the Firebirds", and will not accept bribery.

Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but generally, the GM makes the first IC post, so once I set up the scene (which should be sunday at the latest) feel free to post.
@Pathfinder Oh yeah, I almost entirely forgot about that. My idea (and I'm willing to hear others) is that Rat Beastmen and Rakeesh were that they used to be the same race, but a group of Rakeesh intentionally broke off from the main group to go and live in the kingdom, as citizens. Eventually, they mixed enough with humans to have a more humanoid appearance, less hunched over and no bent legs. If you have another idea though, I'd be willing to hear it.
@Dragonbud Yeah, she met them in person.
@Pink Snorlax The mercs know her first name, Linona, and what she looks like. The instructions she gave were direct, but didn't give much true info. "In the center of town, some executions will be going on at noon. Stop them."

EDIT: @BCTheEntity In that case, it's your choice. If you want my opinion though, I guess I'd say she wasn't hired.
