“Sounds like a good two years.” the Doctor grinned. While the idea that he’d forgotten such huge chunks of his life still sort of terrified him, he tried not to let it show as much. After all, it wasn’t like him to look so weak in front of his companions. He figured he should try to keep himself together, for her sake as well as his own.

——

Still struggling to get a feel for his new body, the Master grew alert when he heard the familiar buzz of the Doctor’s sonic. What even is it with that guy and his dumb little gadget? Well, whatever the case, the Doctor had certainly made the tiny tool more and more powerful over the years, and if he was using it to track him down, then the Master wasn’t exactly in a position to make fun of the thing. Eyes tracking down the source of the sound, he briefly caught sight of the Doctor turning a corner in his direction. He sharply turned his head away, not wanting to draw attention to himself, though he struggled to resist the urge to do a double-take when he saw the blonde at the Doctor’s side. The Master was fairly certain that wasn’t the same woman he was with when they last met. Someone works fast. he mused to himself, before looking straight ahead, and walking along in no general direction as he hoped the Doctor’s instrument wouldn’t be precise enough to track him specifically.

Did you teleport? I was the one who started running first, so I'd be ahead of the girls. Not behind.

Eh. Whoops.

Not really worth an edit if you ask me.
“Trials?” Vash echoed in response to the purple dog… dragon… thing, standing in front of him. He didn’t really react to the creature’s unusual appearance, given the fact that he’d just finished ranting about his adventures to a bipedal salamander. “The trials are the things…! That us Challengers do…!” Vash started to explain as he tried to pull himself into a sitting position, attempting to explain the whole situation with a sort of grand and triumphant tone in his voice, though the alcohol in his system made it difficult for him to be too coherent. “We go through challenges! And we… once we do all of them, we get our wish granted! Yeah…”

“The Trials are challenges created by the great being who brought us all here, glub!” the salamander jumped in, speaking in a sort of high-pitched and kind of adorable voice. “The Challengers — these chosen ones here — must complete 21 of them. And when they do, all of us will be allowed to return to our homes! And I will once again gaze up at the firefly-filled sky and harvest mushrooms for my people, glub!”

Vash nodded slowly. “…What this one said.” he agreed, before starting to grow distracted by some noise, turning his head in an attempt to find the source of the sound. “I hear singing…” he mused, looking over his shoulders as he still couldn’t see the source of it through the crowd. Though it probably didn’t help that he was still hanging out on the ground.
Once the danger had gone and the fused creation known as MKallum laid safely in Callum’s giant bed (though trembling), Callum felt a sort of dream-like sensation briefly come over him again as the two of them separated. Callum’s vision went white for just a second, and, when it cleared, he found himself lying there amongst the giant sheets with MK sitting there next to him. The cat seemed to be shaking just as badly, fur still puffed, but, as things seemed to calm down, the cat did, too. Slowly, he took a few shaky steps towards Callum, starting to cuddle up to him the way cats do.
Every time I write a post for Muse, I get about a paragraph in before I realize that I've been using masculine pronouns the entire time without thinking about it.

But um. Yeah. Finally got a Muse post up. That's cool.
You let the monster in?!” Muse reacted, before quickly shaking her head. “Gah, no time to worry about that now!” she spoke up before Books could respond. “Yes it’s hurting people and yes we should go help! And sorry I… don’t know why I didn’t think to help them, myself.” Muse told Rae, rubbing the back of her head a bit sheepishly as her clouded thinking was starting to show through. Thankfully, though, she didn’t have time to feel guilty; the girls were already off to fight the thing. She quickly scurried off to follow them. “Oh and, don’t worry,” she turned around and told Gwazi before hurrying after them. “I can’t change anyone else. Just myself.” she reassured him, before turning back around and hurrying after the girls.

As Muse took off after the others, she couldn’t help but be somewhat impressed by the girls’ determination. Books looked about as strong and courageous as she’d ever seen her, and Rae, while she’d fought hard in the past, still had yet to run out of steam. Even the new guy was pretty on-the-ball, knowing that the creature would still be wounded and they could follow its tracks — wait, who did that guy say he was again?? Oh, no time to worry about that! Muse struggled to maintain her focus as she continued to follow the others.

Before long, the sounds of screaming could be heard up ahead. The group soon made their way out of the narrow corridor and into the more wide-open area that the girls first saw when they entered the village, though while before it was mostly filled with relaxed tribal members, it was now filled with fear. The ratbug stood in the center of the space, one of its legs clutching the wound in its abdomen, as men and women alike stood with weapons raised, though at a safe distance; no one wanted to get close enough to be hurt.

Once the group entered the open space, the ratbug’s nose twitched. It quickly turned towards the source of the scent. “You again?!” It hissed. “I thought I left you alone — whatever you are. What do you want now?” it growled.

I haven't been reading much from this thread, but, goddamn. That description makes it sound like Henry's smile is alien-like and-...What the fuck have I been missing? I go off to preach about the Church of the Bug Cyborg and someone's been raised by vampire people?

If you've read as far as Henry's smile and all of Gwazi's responses then I don't see how you missed the thing I mentioned about the "vampire people".
