Wellington Academy is proudly presenting their returning and incoming students for the new year; whether you're a student who stayed at the dorms for the entirety of your summer vacation, or a student excited to experience the wondrous academy, Wellington is hosting a move-in week where all students have the chance to move into their cottages. The students will get acquainted with those in the same living space, bonding over each other's interests. After said move-in week, the staff and our students services leader, Idette, will welcome all students to an orientation day. Before the start of the academic year, a variety of events will be present at this orientation to greet the students during this period. The students will follow through a quick tour around the building(a returning student can attend the tour if they'd like), basking in the comfortable environment Wellington Academy lays out. After the tour, students are allowed to walk around on their own or together with their cottage-mates and check out the clubs that have their own open-house in the classrooms.

Afterwards, students will have 3 days to get their schedules before they are ready to experience the richness behind Wellington's learning curriculum. Interests are a big part of Wellington's tradition! Therefore, classes are implemented to fit the needs of every student and are chosen to align with their interests (for example: If your interest is solving crimes then your classes will most likely be anatomy, psychology, statistics, etc). This allows the student to continue exploring and growing in their area of expertise. Wellington is ran exactly like a college so that students can mature ahead of their days and be prepared for the future.

There will be plenty of social events! So always be wary of your calendar dates and try not to miss out on them!

On a Monday morning—7AM to be exact—there may have been better things to be doing (like sleeping in) instead of lugging around belongings up a steep hill to wait to be picked up at one of the many rest stops along the way. The sun, aggressively bright with no clouds as company, made the walk even more exhausting. For you see, Wellington Academy was built on top of a mountainous, in the middle of nowhere, area that was not designed for a lot of traffic. With only a single road in and no place to park, the solution was to provide the students with the Wellington Coach. The road cuts through the mountains and the slow increase in altitude tends to pop ears. But the ride in, whether it's being experienced for the first time or not, does spark a range of emotions as the coach finally turns off the highway and onto a rockier, more secretive road where signs and stores become fewer with land outstretched in the horizon. The coach drives up, up, up and into the woods.

Once a turn is made, there is a small opening in the trees which leads to a tunnel beckoning you further in; overgrowth of leaves decorate its entrance with a small black sign with golden letters expertly spell out: Wellington Academy Entrance. The tunnel opens up to a dirt path that showcases a clear cut through the forest. The coach fights through the path against branches scratching at the sides of the vehicles and rocks underneath threatening to pierce through the wheels—the struggle lasts but a few minutes until the ground starts to level and the trees give way to more space, with green lawns observed in the distance. The coach sputters to a stop right by a large gate met at each side with stone statues on a pedestal. While you may not recognize them immediately, you will soon learn that the statues represents the Goddesses Athena and Minerva; goddesses that represent wisdom and knowledge. In that moment, you are hit with the realization that you have arrived. It was Wellington Academy.

A little after 7AM, that Monday morning, things have changed for you.

There was a time where his parents took him and his brothers swimming every weekend. Oceanus was not one to swim like his siblings, instead, he'd stay cuddled up beside his mother reading the book Flora Londinensis. A book full of flora descriptions back in the mid 18th century was enough to have Oceanus invested in it. He wondered how amazing it must've been to travel and inverse in a world full of beauty. Luckily the book was not a hard find with his rich parents, growing up in what was practically a castle, Oceanus was given books that were dated from way back that was worth more than anything else on this world. On one of their swimming trips, his oldest brother came back with a shell that was embezzled in crystals like no other. Oceanus was in awe and in love. He looked back at the book then to the sea and Oceanus pondered if all seas shared the same shells. ° Oceanus's gift is he's invested in the discovery of shells at beaches. He travels with a journal where he draws the shells he find and goes out of his way to research what they are. It's a privilege to be able to witness the different shells he finds. - ♥ ° The ocean ° The sea ° The beach ° Shells ° Crystals ✘ ° Long sleeve outfits (sweaters, coats, etc) ° Popcorn ° Winter (but he tries his best to tolerate it) ° Baking (he can't cook or do anything that involves the kitchen) ° Sad movies (he cries easily and hates crying) _______ S K I L L S ° Extremely good at observation. His interests(gift) consist of collecting shells and researching about them, but he also draws the shells and adds every single detail. Hence why his observations skills are good because Oceanius always worries about the tiniest speck of detail when drawing.

P E R S O N A L I T Y Oceanus Argus Odalys is always in his own world. He's too quiet they say; he stands there, sometimes giving no response, or other times just a one word phrase. With a quiet demeanor and silent mannerisms, Ocean tends to blend in. Occasionally Ocean wallows in his pessimistic thoughts while constantly overthinking and criticizing himself. However, although Ocean is an awkward quiet boy, he too can unfold a loud laughter of comfort. The ocean, just like his nickname, is his happy place(or really anything that involves a large body of water). The boy who is constantly with a blank expression or a worried one, will burst into a smile big enough for the universe when surrounded by the sea. To think that he once used to hate the waters, used to curse the splashes that stung him when he laid his foot in the waves; Oceanus now jumps straight into the water, not caring whether he has clothes on. He'll run to the sands with a bright expression searching for any findings at these places. In a word, Oceanus is a distant star, too large to understand.

Ocean would say that he grew up in a relatively normal household, but others would disagree. His parents, rich in whatever they worked in (he never cared to know), provided their children the maximum necessities. He grew up in what looked like a castle in his young eyes. Detailed with hard cold marble floors and each tile chosen with a specific design by his parents, everything in this magnificent home was structured just like his parents had wanted.

Oceanus grew up with older brothers and one sister. They were all boisterous and loud, following after the traits of their parents. Ocean was the only one who stood silently in the midst of their loud chatter.

He felt like an outsider watching his family. He felt like he didn't belong.

Maybe that's why Oceanus took comfort of the waters. They felt like his home.

Everyone knows Wellington Academy. It was a school of wonder, of mystery, and everyone damn well knew if you graduated from that school you're known throughout. At first it wasn't something Ocean was interested in but when his parents sat Oceanus and his siblings down, told them about the school and insisted every single one of them to attend, there was a spark of determination that flowed through Ocean. He felt he could belong in a place where everyone shared the same passion in their interests.

Thus, Oceanus called the academy. He sent them several books of his shell findings and was the only one out of his siblings to get accepted.

Idette had to always be on time, she always had to sit properly, she always had to do this, or to do that—she found comfort in the routine. Her personality was structured and striven to be "perfect" by her parents; they drilled the constant notion that she must always present herself accordingly and never make mistakes. Although it was rough playing the part, Idette never complained and never went against her parent's wishes. She understood how to act in front of them but whenever she was alone, Idette would be characterized as a soft, soothing person. •h i s t o r y ughihatehiders Growing up, Idette was used to the routine that her parents forced upon her. It was a mutual understanding that everyone shared a role in the household. The children listen to the parents and the parents slave away at their corporate jobs. As an only child, all the attention was fixated on Idette. Her room was always clean, she always bared a smile, she always sat a certain way, she talked a certain way—everything Idette did was everything her parents taught her. She understood her parents; they were both hardworking adults that blasted a facade of richness. Her family were poor and struggling but they made sure not to show that on the outside. Reputation was an important aspect in her family. As she grew older, Idette realized that her parents slowly were getting tired of her. She was always prepped up to be a certain someone that by now, her parents would've thought she'd have been an important figure. Someone that can put a good image to the name, "Blanc." Nervous about the lack of attention her parents gave her (at this point they were all strangers to each other), Idette joined an underground boxing tournament. Although She had jumped from sport to sport because neither gave her the future she was hoping for, boxing did. She gained money from these matches for constantly winning, becoming the underground champion in her area (there were cases where Idette lost and because of that she would bury herself into rigorous practices.) Her parents thus became proud of Idette while she enjoyed the constant praise. Soon enough Idette applied for Wellington Academy. She believed that her underground matches weren't enough but if she joined a prestigious school, maybe it would be enough(at the same time Idette did enjoy boxing and the adrenaline that came with it.) •c o t t a g e ---- •p a c k e d i t e m s A pair of broken dull red boxing gloves, a crumpled photo of Idette and her parents (there's a distant feel to the picture), and band-aids with a cartoon mascot design on it. •w e l l e r s t a r s : 5 Idette held on to the standards that her parents forced even at Wellington Academy. She took the star points at the school very seriously and believed gaining every single one would be good for her future and in the eyes of her parents. Gaining the first star, Idette had helped a teacher who had been struggling with their schedule for awhile now (causing confusion and misconception among students so it soon became a problem). She helped them space out the classes, helped with the time and even helped with the lesson plans. The teacher still implements the schedule till this day. Idette's last star gained was for her leadership. She would plan freshman events, the ceremonies for freshman, and is a tour guide for freshman's. •w e l l e r m o o n s : 0 extras theme song Idette has a lot of scars and cuts. She's usually seen fiddling with her bandages wrapped around her arm because of muscle cramps she gets on her wrist. Her nickname is bunny from the name the audience gave her at tournaments for how quick she is on her feet.

"I like Lucas."
Idette really enjoys Lucas's company. One time—and she hated yet appreciated him for this—Idette was walking to do her usual punching-her-anger-away at the gym because her teacher messed up on her grades (and all of a sudden it was her fault), but on her way there she had tripped and skidded straight down a concrete mini hill, bruising everything. Apparently Lucas told her he heard a loud, "Good night!" Despite it being broad daylight and when he went to check up on the sound, he found Idette face flat down on the floor. She denies this although she herself remembers full well saying that aloud. It was all because Idette bit her tongue accidentally saying goodnight to Nathaniel and he made fun of her the whole time. Her mind was so preoccupied on reciting the perfect "goodnight" that she ended up yelling it out when falling. Lucas ended up helping her; unfortunately for Idette, the whole way to the gymnasium he spent the time making fun of her.

--- --- --- D O R M L E A D E R : description Nico, while younger and newer than the other cottage leaders, is by far the most serious about his position. Contrary to his persona—relaxed, easygoing and flexible—Nico hates when rules aren't respected. He's understanding of situations, he's most irked by students who lie. If he is aware that you have lied to him to get out of a punishment or used his good will to gain something out of him, Nico will make sure to make your cottage life akin to military life.

--- --- --- D O R M L E A D E R : description Elaina is soft, and soothing. She tends to speak quietly, barely above a whisper, but you can still understand her from how passive it is. She’s a mild-mannered person and has always appeared as calm, nobody has ever seen Elaina flustered or panicky. Despite her nice appearance, Elaina is strict and can be scary. Her soft voice when heard demandingly can cause others to feel intimidated by it. It’s an unspoken rule among the cottage-mates to not mess with Elaina. She is extremely strict on inviting other students over to Begonia. She is someone who wants everything to be exactly as it is; for example, if there are exactly 4 students in the cottages, that's how she wants it at all times. If you can sneak someone in do it when Elaina is not watching! She’s pretty keen for being the second longest at working as the cottage leader (4 years.)

--- --- --- --- D O R M L E A D E R : description One can see Venetia from miles away just by how loud her presence is; her skin glistens like neon lights on a hotel sign in the middle of the night. Her gray eyes—bright, alert and always observing—can see through anything. She's been a cottage leader for the past 5 years and is aware of all the little antics students may pull. While she may allow parties and gatherings, as opposed to the other cottage leaders, Venetia is extremely strict when it comes to curfew. If anyone is even a minute late, she will not hesitate to call security.

--- --- -- D O R M L E A D E R : description Nathaniel is chill, down to earth, and speaks in quick and short sentences. He feels no need to repeat himself (he most likely will only say something once and expect you to follow through with it) and is often seen as a very detached and quiet man. Nonetheless, he says dad jokes randomly and does know when to joke around. He’s calm and logical and is very level-headed. However, don’t be afraid to come and speak to Nathaniel about your problems! He will most definitely make you feel safe and comfortable. He is still strict! (but… can be a little too lenient and ignore big problems) He tends to focus more on the mess. Nathaniel is not one to live in a space where it’s constantly messy. Students are required to clean their bedroom twice a week, as well as the kitchen and living area. There is sometimes a paper posted on the bullutinboard in the living room of who is in charge of cleaning that week of. Nathaniel is the third longest working as a cottage leader, he’s been there for about 3.5 years.

_{Weller Stars ₊*}

At Wellington Academy, you are awarded Weller Stars dependent on your performance. This can range from how you carry yourself to your academic standing to something as simple as completing one of the academy games. A small pocketbook is given for students that prefer to keep their stars in a safe place instead of pining it to their uniform (there was an unfortunate incident in which some stars went missing in action.) These stars are a symbol of prestige in the academy and the rumor is that depending on the amount of stars you possess, the way you're treated varies.

As an incoming student, you start out with no stars with the chance of earning them. At the same time, you may also lose them depending on your actions or whether you receive a Weller moon. The max amount of stars that can be earned is 5 stars and perks do come with each level. Every student is entitled to all the basic needs; but luxuries do come depending on the number of stars you acquire.

_{Weller Moons ₊*}

As a complete opposite to the Weller Stars, the Weller Moons are given as a form of disciplinary action. A Weller Moon is assigned or given to a student if their performance is poor, their behavior is unruly, or any other reason the faculty may deem as reason enough. The max amount of Weller Moons that can be earned are 5 and on the 5th Weller Moon earned, the student is expelled from the academy with no options of reapplying. Weller Moons are permanent and are used as a warning system so the students understand their positions and what is at stake.

Just as Weller stars are hard to achieve, one must have really erred to receive a Weller Moon—it's normally seen as the last resort. Upon receiving a Weller Moon, you will lose all of the Weller Stars you have acquired up to that point will be forfeited and you must start from zero once more.

At Wellington Academy we offer the best of the best to facilitate our student's stay with us. Currently, due to the limited amount of student accepted, there are four cottages in which the students reside in. The cottages are separated in locations within the academy estate and are spacious enough to accommodate the students. All cottages contain two floors: first floor includes the common area such as the living room and communal bathroom, the second floor is where all the individual rooms are located—each student has their own personal room.

Students are mandated to attend breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the school building. A bell is rung early in the morning, and for both lunch and dinner there's a melody that is played to let the students know. Students are allowed to stay in the school building before 8pm but their curfew is at 10pm. There is no bell or melody when 10pm hits; it is up to the student to hold that responsibility and be back at their dorms before 10.

Each cottage is named after a plant—courtesy of Weiss Gillian Wellington. These plants are painted on the doors of every cottage so the students are able to tell what their cottage insignia is. There is no rivalry between the cottages (that is known to faculty) but students definitely have their respective pride when it comes to their cottage. All cottages share the same scenery, beautiful trees, flowers, and mushrooms. Keeping it's mystic appearance all throughout, at Wellington Academy the cottages—of course—even have the same aura.

_{Wellington Academy Uniforms ₊*}

Wellington Academy holds itself proud over the design of their uniforms for the students; if requested, a student can give the academy their preference on whether they would like a dress or pants.

The academy girl's uniform consists of a black long-sleeved dress with a ruffled cape. Dressed nicely on the collar lays a white ribbon, which is said to be Gillian's favorite color (for snow is but his favorite weather where angels are created.) It is not required to wear the cape but it looks presentable and put together. The black dress has side pockets; the shoes are black/brown buckled with a gold emblem on them.

The boys uniforms are of a black long sleeved coat, covered with a ruffled cape. Underneath lays a white dress shirt with black overalls. The shoes are black/brown loafers together with white socks. Depending on the stars a student has, they can customize their uniform to what they deem fit.

The PE uniforms are nothing big, a simple white polo shirt with a golden emblem on the shoulder. The pants are black shorts (or sweats) with Wellington's name printed on the hem, while the shoes are black/white sneakers.

While the Academy is wonderfully crafted from the outside, the same can be said with it's interior. Before you walk into the academy you are met with an elegant small fountain where a ring of hedges surround it. Pasty white flowers fill the brown flooring, vines trace the fountain and hedges. One would assume a fairy took home in this dream like of a scenery.

A dainty blend of crimson and green plants sprout on the benches around this rest area. Students can be seen taking in the view or reading their literature books. It is but a sight to behold. Upon entering the rusted asymmetrical shape of a building, guests are welcomed with a glass checkered floor with white chairs pasted everywhere. Big glass windows are placed neatly on the sides of the building as well as the roof.

Vases of flowers, plants and vines find their way creeping in the corners of the building. There is a singular red couch (where students can also sit and rest) while behind it is a huge painting of Weiss Gillian Wellington. A large staircase is trailed upwards and endless of hallways are formed. Classrooms are in each section with their respective staff.

The fountain area holds the entrance to every building. There are four cross sections with no directions, it is but a learning experience for the students to find what each pathway leads to(and of course to keep it in their memory). Wellington Academy holds a building just for the library (which has books dated from way back for the students to enjoy), as well as a garden, cafeteria, an outside court that is connected with the gym building, and lastly the faculty building.

Wellington Academy, as it is known, goes beyond the definition of your typical school. It was founded by Weiss Gillian Wellington who long had a dream of establishing a school that made use of his own ideals and principles of how a school should be—learning as a game where a blend of rich, poor and all in-between students would be coming together to learn at their own pace. It is rumored that even the air is clean, grass greener and the bird's chirping purer. It is a school solely established for the students and thought to be an idyllic and fantastical place.

Wellington Academy sits on a massive plot of land that used to be abandoned until Weiss Gillian Wellington purchased it and worked towards creating his ideal school grounds. The paths and tunnels that surround the school were crisscrossed with pathways that made no real sense. The goal being that the students would take it upon themselves and also explore the grounds; even Weiss Gillian Wellington himself did not know the location of every tunnel or space.

Schools are often known for many things: their graduates, sports teams, or academics. Wellington Academy, on the other hand, is known for its fairy-like existence. Wellington Academy had no applications, rigid essays, or interview process. If you want to apply and be considered for Wellington Academy, just get in touch.

So! Congratulations on your acceptance to Wellington Academy. While surprised you were accepted, you will still be studying with the best of the best; after all, Wellington Academy only accepts gifted students. Some of the students you will be studying alongside with will range from those that have already won awards or published their own books, to those as ordinary as the next person. What you all have in common, as students of Wellington, is that you all possess an individual gift—the thirst for more knowledge.

Wellington Academy is meant to be a slice-of-life RP that follows the lives of gifted high school students. It will take place before the beginning of the school semester where you may enter as an incoming student experiencing the Wellington Academy life for the first time, or returning students that already know the ropes. The RP is meant to be guided by your interactions with your fellow students and the GM will be posting important plot points ever so often to keep the interest fresh. There will be games held in which your character can participate that will be detailed when announced.

┘┌ Please refrain from using characters that are mary/gary sues. While this is an academy for gifted students, they are still children (14-18) so their achievements should be realistic to their age.

Wellington Academy, as it is known, goes beyond the definition of your typical school. It was founded by Weiss Gillian Wellington who long had a dream of establishing a school that made use of his own ideals and principles of how a school should be—learning as a game where a blend of rich, poor and all in-between students would be coming together to learn at their own pace. It is rumored that even the air is clean, grass greener and the bird's chirping purer. It is a school solely established for the students and thought to be an idyllic and fantastical place.

Wellington Academy sits on a massive plot of land that used to be abandoned until Weiss Gillian Wellington purchased it and worked towards creating his ideal school grounds. The paths and tunnels that surround the school were crisscrossed with pathways that made no real sense. The goal being that the students would take it upon themselves and also explore the grounds and even Weiss Gillian Wellington himself did not know the location of ever tunnel or space.

Schools are often known for many things: their graduates, sports teams, or academics. Wellington Academy, on the other hand, is known for its fairy-like existence. Wellington Academy had no applications, rigid essays, or interview process. If you want to apply and be considered for Wellington Academy, just get in touch.

While surprised you were accepted, you will still be studying with the best of the best; after all, Wellington Academy only accepts gifted students. Some of the students you will be studying alongside with will range from those that have already won awards or published their own books, to those as ordinary as the next person.
