Iris squinted at her roommate as he seemed to notice her for the first time, but decided that his surprise was genuine. Which was good, because that meant that she had the upper hand on him in terms of people watching: she had seen him unawares, but he had apparently not seen her.
And, it meant that he definitely wasn't the person to ask about why they were there, though he hit on the probably methodology of their abduction faster than Iris would have. The drinks, of course. That's why they had insisted on bringing their own refreshments and helpers. She grunted quietly, making a mental note that such things could simply not be allowed from now on.
"I'm Iris," she responded, nodding in acknowledgement of her new acquaintance, though with none of his enthusiasm. She was not as carefree as he, instead trying to puzzle out what was going on in her own mind. She knew Aliron as a bum of sorts, so it didn't make sense that they would have kidnapped him as well as her if they were after some sort of ransom, unless he was from a rich family, but was a bum by choice?
As she pondered these things, the noise of keys came from their door, and it was slid open slightly as someone checked on them. She could see that chains still held the door from opening completely, but the door was then quickly closed and reopened fully, with these released. A well-dressed individual, arrayed as if working in a hospital or lab of some sort, entered, leaving a couple more similarly-clothed individuals in the hallway behind him. He stood tensely, as if waiting for an offensive from them, or perhaps a question, but Iris didn't plan on giving him either. She would let her much more excited friend here start with that. @Eklispe@Ambra
“Where’s my suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuitcase-ase-ase-ase?” the rabbit asked, and Iris yelled back at it from her confinement, something garbled and incoherent, but that made sense at the time. She struggled against her bonds, and looked into the mirror, taken aback by her blue skin and crazy hair. She rubbed her hands along thin limbs and sucked the blood that coated her claws.
Waking up was normally a slow affair, but Iris woke in a flash this time. The room didn’t smell right, and her bed didn’t feel as rough as this one, and she started up in the unfamiliarity, with all the pleasantry of a slow awakening, which properly capped a long period of rest, completely forsaken. She stared at the wall a few feet from her head, and slowly pivoted to capture the whole room. She wasn’t the only one there, though the other occupant didn’t relieve any of her sudden anxiety. Wasn’t he that homeless dude that sometimes hung around the diner?
She stood, but did not approach the man, instead straightening her suit (thankfully whatever had happened to her, it had not included losing her clothes) and straightening herself into her most commanding posture. “Why am I here?” she asked lowly, but her roommate seemed occupied with his own thoughts too much to hear her.
“Why am I here?” she said again, raising her voice so that Aliron would hear her above the other voices in his head. @Eklispe
Appearance: Iris is one of those people who easily fades into the background. It helps that she’s short (just about 4’10”) and appears even younger than her age. She's not a particular beauty, either; one could not truthfully describe her as thin, and she doesn't dress in any way to draw especial attention to her good aspects.
Her Filipino heritage shines through not only in her height, but also in her very Asian facial features, long black hair, and skin color. Thankfully, she's put on her weight in a rather non-Asian manner, gaining some appreciable curves with the pounds.
Iris dresses in the most casual of clothes, often combining tiny shorts with long Tees and tanks, throwing a sweater on top, and calling it a day.
True Appearance: When channeling her main’s powers at full tilt, Iris' appearance changes from head to foot. Most noticeably, she grows a few inches and her skin becomes a sickly, cold, blue-tinged color. Heels grow from her ankles, adding a couple more inches, and vicious guantlet-like nails grow over her hands. She even slims down a bit, as her mass doesn't change even though she grows.
Whatever clothes she is wearing become girded in belts and underwires, becoming more supportive and close-fitting.
Shadow Walk (Passive)- Iris fades into the background even more than previously, becoming supernaturally-difficult to notice or keep one's attention on unless she is drawing attention to herself.
In True form, Iris literally becomes invisible.
Hate Spike- When her negative emotions boil over, those around Iris feel intense internal pain, as if they've had spikes jammed through their torsos.
In True form, Iris has control over when and who her hate attacks.
Dark Frenzy- With a sudden burst of agility, Iris escapes, followed by an increase in movement speed.
Ravage- Iris tears into someone with her claws, becoming empowered to continue at an increased pace for a few seconds. Only available in True form, or if Iris is using a short bladed weapon.
Agony's Embrace- Spikes thrust from the ground around Iris, dealing health and prana damage to anyone nearby. This damage is siphoned into a shield surrounding Iris for 6 seconds.
Personality: Iris shares many of the faults of others with her sort of wealth, but can also lay claim to a few largely unique to herself. She doesn't quite understand the importance of money, and so can often be callous when faced with someone struggling in that field. Her parents have taught her well that if one really wants money, one will work for it, and that hasn't left much room for her to pity those who deserve it.
She's also guilty of having rather expensive tastes, and of being a snob when it comes to things that are lesser.
And, even given her great wealth, Iris can't help herself when she sees something that someone else has; she's a kleptomaniac of the worst sort, one who truly has no need at all for the things that she steals. Often, she dumps them as soon as she has gotten away with the crime, and the thrill is gone.
That's not to say that Iris doesn't have some good qualities! She is generous to those whom she does not believe will take advantage of her generosity, she's generally a fun person to be around, and she makes acquaintances easily, with an uncanny ability to remember names even if she's only ever talked to someone once, on the phone, years ago.
She's also learned, the hard way, what it is like to have good-weather friends. She doesn't trust others enough to rely on them any longer, but she is a very loyal friend as long as someone will have her.
Short Biography: Most people have very few chances to deem themselves "lucky" in their lifetimes; it seems as if luck gravitates toward certain people instead of dissipating evenly. Say they are born under lucky stars, or that the gods smile on them, or whatever you will, but it remains the same: some people just have all the luck.
Iris is one of those people. Well, rather, the son or daughter of her parents, one a CEO of a large technology company, the other the owner of a large diner chain, whoever that may have been, was one of those people. Just turns out that Iris was the daughter of her parents.
Hers was never a life of want. She had the nicest clothes before she could even appreciate them, tutors came to her house, and would be replaced if she did not like them. She ate the finest foods of the land, attended the nicest parties, and had the most pleasant nannies.
One almost wonders where things went wrong. Did her acts of rebellion start as a plea to get her busy parents' attention? Did she like going to the principal's office of her nice private school? Was there a special someone whom she wished to see on the police force? I suppose that, since not even Iris knows, it will always be a mystery. But what started as petty thievery quickly became an obsession, a compulsion, and quickly landed her in trouble. But hey, she likes trouble!
Her thievery introduced her to League, actually. She punked some small kid as he escaped from a 7/11 with gift cards in hand, and her first free RP cards were interesting enough to get her hooked on the game. She wandered without aim for a while, without a main, until the Safecracker Evelynn skin came out. It was too good a match to pass up, and Evelynn became Iris' main.
