I'd like there to be some significant intimate time since if I do some up with any arcs I'd like to play them out for a while. Also, I mentioned an "improved" map so I decided to deliver:I didn't like the lack of mountain and river representation and it looks to MS Paint-ish and such. I made some general continent changes too.

Hmm... Maybe we could work for an arrangement about your time progression with respect of everyone else's.

And in addition, thanks for making the map. I used Paint so it's more editable and more like what you would see in a typical map, but yours is simply beautiful.

So I see.And are we going to be moving at some fast-paced seasonal thing, or will we get actual intimate time with what's going on and what we're doing? Or: are we basically going to stay at classical antiquity, or is this going to be purposed to scream through the epochs as fast as possible?

It basically depends on the amount of activity of this RP. If there are very few posts going on and nothing intresting (like major wars) is happening, feel free to jump several months. If however, there are many players doing stuff, the RP is going to slow down a lot. If this RP really needs it, though, having time-skips will be considered.

Probably be better in all to just call it history. Also if you were to give this RP a epoch title in which we'll be in, which would it be? Would be starting off neolithic ("Living in caves") Paleolithic (starting to build standing structures), or any of the epochs of antiquity? It'll give at least a basis of sorts to write the history up to that point.

Like I said, we start on 1 A.D. So yeah, we are going to start on the classical antiquity.

I like to put that thinking stuff into history. I imagine this is what "evolution" is defined as.

Yup. Pretty much that. Although with evolution I meant the biological evolution, feel free to put how your nations developed there.
Ayaerid Empire

We will accept this trade treaty. Our trading ships will be waiting you at these coordinates: (insert random galactic coordinates). We hope you can understand these coordinates. In case you don't understand them, it will be made orbitating the closest planet you have sent your message from. What do you have that can be traded? We have a couple of materials that can be very useful in building weaponry (our engineers will start producing weapons hopefully in terms that won't violate neither nations security systems) for defensive pruposes and we also have much food to spare.
Name:Uspea

Resources: Wheat, maize, sugar and wood.

Unique traits: The Upseans live in a very rich river, so they are excelent users of agriculture. In addition, they also have many good builders and they have access to a nearby forest. However, they lack of access to stone, so they are very poor warriors. The forest has plants which make their landss hard to access unless the foreigners make a large struggle.
Alright, three intrested. I'm going to make the OP on Sunday, Monday or on Tuesday unless two more people get in.

And I'm going to write down the app here in case you want to start making it. I strongly reccomend removing the parts in parenthesis.

Name: (self-explaining)
Description: (one paragraph should be for physical description with 6 sentences minimum unless you use an image, and another paragraph for it's behaviour and other non-physical stuff (I know this sounded lame, I couldn't word it another way) with 5 sentences minimum)
Evolution/General history: (optional) (the evolution of your races and the general history of your nations should be put here)
Strengths: (this should be what your race is good at and the aspects it's more advanced)
Weaknesses: (what your race is not good at and the aspects it's more retrograde)

In case you want to write down your nation, you don't need to write a nation app unless you want to detail a nation. It can really be just a name and the amount of population, or a massive application detailing each and one of the minor details.

In addition, the map will be here soon. The biomes don't look very good though, and any suggestions/changes are appreciated. It was made with this tool with the 4397936 seed.

EDIT: Here it is.

but given who made the interest check I have my doubts if my wit would be original.

Ooh bro, I think I know where you are getting to. Let me guess. It's something with poison piss (or anything poisonus) on it.

I'd take part in this, but the 'realistic' premise you're championing got thrown out the window when you immediately assumed all of the species would follow the tried-and-true human progression model (whether it's technological, societal or something else), yet the species seem to be set-up to be as alien as possible.

Man, you're right when I assumed that. I should allow a more flexible techline (but it will have to keep a minimum amount of coherence, so if you want to develop gothic architecture on the early medieval, go ahead but you shouldn't have FTL spaceships in the years we could call the Napoleonic Era), but what I was reffering with realistic at first was no magic or fantastical elements allowed. I'll keep what you say in mind, though, so thanks. The 1 A.D shall be kept more of a refference/guideline rather than a strict date (but depending oin your starting location and other stuff about your race, you will have to set your technology back or even satisfy yourself with tribals)
I know, participate before you create, but I'm too impatient for that and I already know something of some of the forumgoers :P.

I tried this concept twice on the Minecraft Forums. The first one was a not very good due to the very lax rules that existed then, which led to the posts turning into just some number-risers. The second time was pretty much the only non-embarrasing thing that I did on the whole Minecraft Forums, but it soon found itself dead.

Anyway, the concept of this RP is simple. You control a race and you have to lead it on it's history. In this RP, you will not only control one single political entity, but all of the political entities that are controled by your race. And unlike most race RPs, this one will be completely realistic (unless we really get into space) and we will start on 1 A.D.

Alright, now here's the boring rules part. Apart from the basic rules, in addition to that, humanized versions of IRL animals are not allowed (humans and variants aren't allowed either) (mythical animals are OK, I shall already reserve gryphons because they are fucking awesome) (reptilians are OK too, just for the Illuminati's sake). In addition, you may create up to two races. Unless you have a good reason for it, you will have to split your race between nations for stability (and no, you may not use your nations as "slaves" for the "main" nation and unless you really must, you may not join your nations in a huge alliance) (I'm saying "for stability" because you may start with an unified race, but be prepared for possible strikes due to instability). In addition, you must always make 4-6 sentences of history at minimum.

The time process will depend on the era and the player activity. If there are only a few active players and on the ancient era, feel free to jump a couple of months in each post, but if we're on the modern age and with high activity, the most process allowed will be 3-4 weeks, although that is a discussion for another moment. Finally, you must insert the in-game date when you begin a post.
