Well, that went zero to sixty real quick. Andy didn't even have a chance to defend herself. She knew that the crow slammed through her skull. She was going to die. All because she was confused. After all this time, she was being claimed. It felt...wrong. But that didn't matter because her body needed sustenance. And it wasn't food it wanted. Her hand was still in Zari's. The back of Andy's mind knew that was bad; she wanted to fight it. But it felt so good. The life pouring into her. It was like that first cool drink of water after a hard workout.

She hadn't realized how thirsty she was. She hadn't known that she could even slake her thirst this way. She looked at Zari and knew that she was killing her. If Andy kept holding Zari's hand, she would kill her. NO!

Andy yanked her hand away and stumbled several steps away. She screamed. Her voice cracked as she screamed.

"I'm sorry." She said, her voice raw, temporarily destroyed. She looked to the crows. "Fine. I'm her daughter. Take me to her." She glanced at Zari. Andy had to put distance between them to protect her. She knew if she stayed near her, she might be pulled in by that deliciousness that was her energy. But why now? She had been here on the island for weeks, right? Why say something now and not when she first was here?

"Yeah, get in, kill Magento and anyone who is in the way. Try not to die." Simple enough plan. However, it was much easier said than done. He sighed. Nodded. He was as ready as he would be. He would be the shield and healer for his group. His damage output wasn't high enough. His skill set had never been designed to kill. He cursed his family's laws mentally. The laws that he had willingly abandoned when his sister died.

"Let's go." He glanced at Jade and Thalia. Then starts making his way to the entrance. His heart almost stops when someone seems to notice him. But they don't turn completely around. He could make it the whole way without being caught, but that was too close for comfort.

Niah's eyes widened. She inhaled sharply as the other versions of herself yelled at her. Yelling at her for being the 'real' Niah. Part of her wanted to yell back. To claim that she deserved to be the real one because she had fought hard for it, it had been her that had fought the fear bear. But was there a real Niah?

"What says you aren't all real? Who am I without you?" The version of Niah that she was literally couldn't have existed without the others. She was built on their bones. "Everything I am is because of who all of you are." That might not be entirely true in the cases of 257!Niah, there wasn't enough of her to say for certain. Though who she had been had started to slip. She couldn't even find the love she once held for Bonnie so deeply, it was buried under the love for Oliver now.

Matt was already trying to come up with a backup plan. He couldn't escape the proper way. As soon as the water rushed in he'd drown. People didn't survive submarines breaking. But the voice startled him. He spun around, looking at the child. Dad? He couldn't have children.

"Uh, sorry kid. I don't have any children." Then he noticed the tentacles. He mentally cussed. Not wanting to curse in front of a kid. "But to answer your question." He said, still staring out the window at his doom. "I'm trying to find a way off this sub. This door is welded shut. But beyond it should be SEIE."

"Do you know where the bridge is?" He had to save the kid too. If they could tell their depth, maybe on some very low percentage, they could surface on their own. But that was basically impossible.

"No problem." Ed said. Giving Petiro a nod. It would not do to have anyone in their group at less than optimal power. His sister would have been a better choice, but obviously, she wasn't a choice here. He frowned, thinking of her. Turning away from the others so his grumpy face wouldn't be noticed. Once he had his facial features under control again, he turned back to the group.

"Dusk should work." He was certain they would fail. There was no way they could succeed. But that was fine. This whole thing had been a suicide mission anyway. If he didn't survive, then so be it. But maybe, just maybe, with this plan. They could kill Magneto and at least make it, so the world didn't end.

Andy smiled. It was like the world had become a happier place. She was still scared. She had no idea how to help Zari in her mission and what would happen after. But that was okay. Cause Zari was holding her hand and offering to explain to her. She nodded. "I don't mind if we talk outside." Then she heard the crows cawing. She looked up and saw the three crows flying with the package.

Andy watched in confusion as the crows landed, stared at her and opened the package. The least surprising thing was the talking skull, and that was probably because she was used to Zari's at this point. What the skull said was very unsettling. And the crows put the crown on her head.

"Uh, are you sure you have the right person?" The rain stopped. She looked at Zari, pure confusion written on her face. "The skull thinks I am Selene's daughter?" Andy knew her history. She knew she had been found nearly drowned in the ocean. That was as much as she knew. She had always wondered how she ended up in the ocean. If Selene was her mom did she know? Also, why was she only just now claiming her? Andy had been here for ages. Her mind raced.

"Awesome." From her tone, it was clear Andy did not think going down the creepy stairs was awesome. But she took a deep breath and started down. It had been dark until the lights came on, and the only thing reassuring about that was that Chocolate could use the shadows.

When they saw the Sphinx, though, Andy shook her head. She was not good with riddles. Andy was barely literate before coming to Camp. She had taken some lessons and gotten a few coping mechanisms for Dyslexia since that was a common trait in half-bloods. But she still wasn't well read. Or would be considered smart by any standard.

"I'll explain as best I can. And don't worry about it too much, the monster thing. They'll show up whenever they feel like, to be honest." She had to bite back an automatic response to Jason that it was good he couldn't find his way to New Rome. Relations between the two camps were supposed to be better. And she was a Senator. She wasn't going to push the old feud, especially in a time of need like this. Niah smiled at the strange dog that seemed to claim Stella.

She went to the counter. "Hello, could I get three tickets to San Francisco. Two teens and a kid." She asked when she got to the front of the line at the ticket counter. She hoped a train would be leaving soon. They also might have to do transfers. But at least they'd get going.

"That will be $315," The ticket agent said. Niah's heart dropped. That was so expensive. She checked how much she had been given; it was only $100 in mortal money. She had that much again in her own money, but that wasn't enough for all three of them still. Not to mention eating.

"I don't have that much." She looked at the ticket agent sadly.

"I can get you three on a Grayhound for $214." The ticket agent person offered.

"I've got two hundred. How far would that get us?" She knew the ticket agent probably thought this was suspicious at this point, but there wasn't much choice.

"Kansas City, Missouri price is 192." That didn't leave much for food, but maybe the others had some cash and even had packed some food. She had some snacks, but real food would be hard to come by. She, however, was not going to make that choice by herself. Niah turned to the other two.

"Well, what do you two think? We can get to Missouri and then figure it out from there. That at least gets us part way." She waited to hear their opinions.

After being led back into the Healing Grove, Niah was relieved to see that Oliver was okay. They hadn't done anything strange like turned him into a hamster. Niah smiled at him before following Professor X's directions.

Upon opening her eyes, Niah was both surprised and not. It wasn't a huge leap to figure out she was in her mental mindscape. And that it obviously had variations of herself in it. Her soul was a bit shattered in that way. Niah watched as each of the versions of herself seemed to struggle to reach a book. She stepped over and went to grab one to help. But the Niah grabbed her arm. Gripping so tightly, Niah worried about the bone breaking. Her eyes were void - just white. “What gives you the right?” the Niah hissed.

"I'm sorry." She whimpered out, grimacing against the pain. "I just wanted to help." That's all Niah really wanted to do. Help people, even when at a detriment to herself.

Matt's heart dropped. He knew exactly what would happen if he didn't get to the pressure chamber. There would be diving suits there. He had only one hope of getting off the sinking sub with his life. However, he didn't know if this was what needed to happen. Matt could guess that this was some sort of test for himself to survive being subsumed by the version of him that lived in this universe. Was escape the right choice?

He couldn't deliberate that, though. Time was of the essence. Subs didn't do well once their hull was cracked. He had preferred boats for a reason. Matt followed the normal pattern of a submarine. He found the room he wanted. But it was the worst-case scenario. The hatch to the room was welded shut. He cursed under his breath. Mentally trying to recall emergency procedures he had never needed.

"Later." He said, responding to both Mary and Annie. He was glad he had said that as some of the others started returning, including Klara. The conversation would take time because he would have to show Mary that he could trace the counterparts before then showing that Klara's counterparts didn't match. He had to make sure they could do that uninterrupted.

They had all been together. Now with three of their number out of the room, getting to the Stark Tower would be more difficult. He glanced at Guin, making sure she seemed to be keeping it together. He didn't think her reaction had been unreasonable. Ed imagined if his sister's ghost appeared randomly, he'd have a similar reaction. Even if ghost might not be the right term.

Rose was surprised that Merlin went for the brute force approach of breaking down the door. She had seen quite a bit of reliance on magic and had expected him to do that instead. She followed him inside and glanced around. Then started giving a helping hand with setting up camp. She wondered if the tower was big enough for everyone. But they would at least be able to get the injured inside.

Rose half watched Rosalia. Sort of making sure she didn't wander off into the woods again. But also curious because the other girl had said she had been at this tower before. She wondered what Rosalia remembered of the place. Had she grown up near here? Or was this Rapunzel's tower.

Colby nodded at his dad. That didn't feel weird anymore. Well, not as weird as it had felt. Now that he had memories from living here. Though he had been very young, he thought probably the youngest out of the group. It was reassuring to have those memories of his early life. Before the orphanage, before being adopted.

He followed him down the hall. Picking up the kitten without even thinking about it, giving the kitten head scratches as he walked. He had left Jackson Galaxy at the shop, but Silky, he knew he could summon if he needed her. But it was second nature to pet cats that asked for it.

Andy was relieved. She would have been fine with just about any reaction from Zari, except if she had been like, 'I never want to talk to you again, creep' that would have been heartbreaking. But she got probably the best possible reaction she could have hoped for. Andy smiled.

"That is okay that you aren't good with words. I'm not that great with them either." Andy hadn't grown up sheltered, but she also hadn't had the best education, so there were a lot of gaps. She held out her hand for Zari to take if she wanted. So they could keep playing in the rain together.
