Edus Penior

Skill: Stealth

Ed didn't let his relief when they passed the first obstacle distract him. They had a lot more obstacles before them. He couldn't celebrate this small one. Even if he was relieved. Ed started to explore the building. He didn't want to go too far, so he poked his head around a corner.

As he did a door opened in the hallway he was looking down. Four people entered the hall from the door. He didn't recognize any of them. Quickly he slipped back to the others.

"Found four people. I don't know who they are." He said quietly to the group. He wasn't American so that wasn't really a surprise.

Andy froze for a second. A moment of indicesion, fight or flight. She picked flight. She ran for a gate that she saw, but when she got there it was locked. She rattled the gate some. Then turned back to face the others and the Sphynx. This thing was huge, but she had done a lot of fighting in her short life.

She pulled her knife from her bracelet. Wishing she had Arthur with her. They had gotten some good strategies made over the last year. She didn't want to throw her knife and then not be able to retrieve it. Knives were too much for close combat. She started to pull at the air to create electricity. Not yet losing it on the Sphynx.

"Sure, fine. No more advice." Niah said. Her voice was cold. She struggled to keep her emotion in check. She hadn't been trying to be an ass about it. She just knew that neither of them had been on a quest before. And Stella is a little kid. s

Niah was quickly distracted from her rising anger when she noticed the kid who had come up to pet Stella's strange dog. She frowned as she realized the kid was actually a cyclops. It was a toddler one basically. Niah knew most of the time cyclopses would abandon their kids when they were babies. Some ideas crossed her mind as she assessed the room.

If they could take the cyclopse with them it would sort of scare away other monsters. Overriding the urge of monsters to attack, even with the cyclopse so young. She hoped though, as Stella told him no petting the dog, that the kid wouldn't Hulk out on them.

Rose Buckner

Location: The Moors
Skills:

Rose was fine with Rosalia ignoring her. She would just ignore her right back. Rose smiled as her mom and Cassiopeia walked over. A small weight was lifted. She had been worried. "Arm is feeling better, thank you. Everything else went mostly okay. We had to deal with some hungry wolves, and Rosalia found Lancelot. We are at a tower we found. How was your mission?" She asked both of them, leaning into Cassiopeia slightly.

"Oh, and I remember everything, know. But I have more questions." Rose chucked at the thought. She would have to have a chat with her mom about it, but there wasn't a rush. She was just happy to be in her presence. Before she had been willing to accept her as her mom because of her vague memories, but now that she really remembered she was glad she had come.

Colby Jackson

Location: Agrabah
Skills:

Colby kept his composure, which was a really good thing. But there was no way he was going to let a scorpion wander around on him. He couldn't. Even if it was deathstalker, which despite its name is not super deadly. Other than anaphatic shock most people survive stings from them. But he knew he wouldn't be able to keep quiet if it stung him.

He grabbed it quickly by the tail and flicked it away from himself. Trying to give enough distance to be safe, but not so far as to draw attention. There was no way to keep it from causing some movement. If he was lucky they would just think it was the scoprion from the start and not that it had suddenly learned how to fly.

"The one traveling with us hasn't been the real one since Asguard. I think the Klara here, with her damaged memories, is the real one for us. I think the one we've been traveling with is someone else. Potentially Loki. She told us he was locked up, no one else, and we never saw proof of it." That wasn't his biggest bombshell either. He took a deep breath.

"Silf brought it to my attention. They had a fight on a bridge, and Klara fought. She knocked creatures off the bridge to their doom. The real Klara would have made friends with the creatures. Silf was concerned and wanted me to keep an eye on Klara. At the time, I did a test spell trying to see if Silf was related to this Klara, and it took some tries, but I got a successful connection to her, but at first, it pointed down off the bridge into...nothing."

Niah chewed her lip, thinking. She couldn't erase the other versions of her. She just couldn't lose herself to them. She needed to accept them because, without their experiences, she wouldn't be the person she had become. Niah turned to the closest other Niah, "You don't have to leave. We just have to be one."

The two hugged. It was a strange sensation, but after a few seconds, it was just her, but she could remember both of their lives. She was complete. Niah continued the process. Moving to each of the other versions of herself. Combining with them. This felt right. She wasn't losing who she was, who she had become.

She didn't care if this wasn't what Professor X wanted. This was what she wanted, and she felt whole.

Matt sighed. He couldn't have kids so he didn't know why this child thought he was his. But whatever. He followed him and started up the ladder. "Faster!" He shouted as the water started gushing in.

Matt started to dash to grab the kid and pick him up to run with him, but it was too late. A tentacle grabbed him. He was pulled from the submarine and was now in the water. Panic gripped him, but the water wasn't crushing him. His ears weren't being destroyed. He had to get free. He started to struggle. Tried grabbing for his gun. Praying it would work under the water.

Ed Penior

Location: New York City Stark Tower
Skills: Tracking

Ed felt guilty that he had failed Runa, but there wasn't anything he could do. He sighed and watched Runa and Lance leave. Mary stepped over. "I could not bring him back, but he seems...better."

"Alright," He started now that it was just the two of them. "First a demonstration. As you'll remember, I asked if you thought my tracking would work for those from this world." He pulled out Pietro's vial of hair. They had both interacted with the Pietro of this world, so they knew he existed and generally where he was. They also knew exactly where the Pietro from their world was. He cast the spell, which connected to this world's Pietro.

"Now, see this." He recast the spell using the hair he had from Klara. He had collected the hair after joining with her in Asgard. Theoretically, he should be able to track either Klara if they were the same person genetically as he had done with Pietro. However, when he cast the spell, even trying several times, it only connected to the Klara in the other room.

"I have reasons to believe that the person in the other room is not truly Klara." He had other evidence too. But that would be harder to explain.

Andy was in pain, but she also knew she was hungry. Not in a need food way. It was something else. Something more primal. She had just wanted to speak with her Mother (a weird thought after all these years). But the skull said not yet, and she knew exactly why. Andy couldn't bring herself to drain Zari. Even though Zari seemed to be okay.

The only other option was the crows. She reached out and pulled the energy she could feel within them. The crows dropped to the ground. Her wounds healed.

Damn, that felt good. Everything around her sharpened. It was as if she had been blind up to this point. Blind and dying slowly. But now she felt so good. She wanted more. Wanted to slake that hunger, that thirst. It all dropped away, and she saw Zari. This beautiful, mysterious girl. The desire Andy had had for ages now just to reach out and touch, kiss, her. Right now, her skin was singing for that contact.

Andy stepped closer to Zari, her hand touching Zari's shoulder and sliding to the back of her neck as she leaned in, kissing her.

Andy didn't quite agree with Mary. And she was not excited to find what was at the bottom of the stairs. She bit her lip, following after her aunt. But of course, things went badly. She rubbed her wrist, touching the dagger hanging from the bracelet, ready to draw it if the need arose.

But the sphinx gave them a deal. Andy stood there wide-eyed at the first question. She had no idea what the sphinx could mean, but it sort of made sense once Mary answered and explained herself. The answers were logical, even if they were sort of silly. The second question was even weirder. She thought of horses and wheels, but those were all necessary. Andy looked up to see Mads didn't seem to know what to guess. She closed her eyes, thinking hard about carriages.

She built a scene in her head. Bouncing moving noisily. She tilted her head. Gods, she hoped she was right, "Noise? Carriages make a lot of noise but don't need it to function. Noise comes and goes with the carriage; even though it doesn't need it, it can't go without it. Right?" She looked to the Sphinx, fear written on her features. If she was wrong...well they had one more shot.

Location: Grand Central Station
Skills: Mist Manipulation

Niah nodded in agreement with Jason. She paid the lady with the money she had and some from Stella. They'd be a little tight for cash for food, but at least they had a direct route. And if they had to, they had other options. Since the ticket lady didn't say anything about the dog, Niah figured whatever the mist was doing made it fine. She might try to fine-tune it later to ensure they didn't get questions. But she took the tickets and handed Stella and Jason one each.

"Let's head that way then. Best to wait near where we need to be." She got out of the line so the next people could go. She started walking in the direction the ticket lady had indicated. "We'll have to be on our toes and ensure we don't get separated if anything happens. And more importantly, we don't leave the train unless we have to." She could just imagine them ending up off the train and being left behind.

Three days was a long time, but it was faster than walking across the whole of the US. Once they had found a quiet spot near the Amtrak train tracks, Niah started explaining to Stella something. "I expect the mist is manipulating that puppy, so it seems normal to others. I'm going to try to have the mist create a vest and leash." Niah didn't have a lot of practice manipulating the mists, but she had been working on it for the last couple of years. She pulled, and nothing happened. Niah sighed, remembering herself and how the mist worked. She closed her eyes, placed her hand near the puppy, then lifted her hand. This time a leash was in her hand.

"Here you go." She said, handing the leash to Stella. The vest said 'service dog in training,' and the leash said 'do not pet.' That should give them some leeway.

Rose Buckner

Location: The Moors
Skills:

Rose wasn't sure what she could do at the new camp. With her arm hurt, there wasn't much help she could lend to moving stuff, so she knew she wouldn't be much help at the tower. So she nodded and followed Merlin. If it annoyed Rosalia, that was her problem. Going with Merlin meant that she would be able to talk to her mom that much faster.

When the rain and thunder started, she sighed. Great. Now they had to contend with the weather and whatever else the woods decided to throw their way. She wanted to be thankful she was with Merlin but hated feeling reliant on him. Rose wanted to be independent, but it was hard to do that in a world so beyond what she had spent most of her life in. But now, with her memories, she knew most of the dangers they could encounter.

Colby Jackson

Location: Agrabah
Skills:

Colby blushed a bit from Maddie's compliment. Especially since they were sort of caught in the act. He grinned, though. Semi-walking on air as they entered the vault. It was massive. He let out a low whistle. He was glad the lamp was found quickly.

However, the downside was the voices coming their way. His dad shut the vault door. And Colby panicked, wondering how they were supposed to get back out. But that was a later problem. He looked around, trying to find a hiding spot. At first, he couldn't find a good spot, but then he found a pile of shields and shifted them so that he could tuck himself under them. So unless the shields were picked up, he shouldn't be noticed.

Ed Penior

Location: New York City Stark Tower
Skills: Healing

Ed was about to join Mary to find a quiet place to tell her what was happening. But then he caught Runa's pleading look, and he couldn't ignore it. He was fond of Runa. And seeing her in distress was not something he cared for. He hated that; it was a weakness that grew the more he worked with this group. Despite him not wanting to make connections with this group, he had.

"Lance, may I try something?" He asked, joining the pair of them. There was a small chance this would work. And he only had any hope it might since the fight with Loki. If he really got into it, this would absolutely be a breach of the family laws.

Lance assented. Though, Ed had a feeling Lance didn't understand well enough to give informed consent. He hated that but glanced at Runa and saw that she needed him to try at least.

Ed lifted his hands, holding them slightly to either side of Lance's head. Orange light emanated and pressed against Lance's temples. A few moments passed like that before Ed dropped his hands.

"I can't get his memories back, but this might be better than nothing." He told Runa quietly. Then leaned back. He was tired from that.
