Rose smiled at the clarification. She did know that, but she had agreed more because she figured he was part of the story. Also, the whole cheating thing was weird to her. But that was her usual opinion about stories with cheating in them. It made it even weirder now that these were real people, and she didn't want to gossip about them.

She raised her eyebrow as Flynn showed the secret map. It seemed easy to discover, but she probably wouldn't have thought to try that. She would have to keep it in mind for the future. She wondered how the paper was treated for that.

"I'm good. Good kitty." Colby grinned and praised the cat that had interfered. "That was a little close, I almost got stung by the scorpion, and that would have been super unfun." He was glad they were out of there and had the item. "We should get out of here. The longer we are here, the higher our risk of being discovered." Especially with Rumple here.

He looked around, trying to find where Willow had gone. He bumped into Maddie slightly and then started making his way to the refreshment table where Willow was. He also spotted Jaffar and Rumple. He tried to keep his movements smooth and unworried as he walked over to the table.

"Hello sister, how has your evening been going? I can say mine has gone quiet well." He smiled brightly at her, then nodded at the guard near her.

"I'm fine, thank you." Andy said thank you for more than just asking. She also appreciated the shield that her aunt had given her. "Are you okay?" She asked as Mads pried open the gate. "Was that even allowed? The sphinx said she wouldn't hurt us if we got the riddles, right?"

Andy looked down the hallway as far as she could. She didn't want to be the first to go. But she figured she might as well. Andy kept her dagger out. Ready to be attacked. She didn't want to be caught off guard. After a deep breath. Then started down the hall. She found herself at a split hall way. To the right was a skeleton. She paused, staring at it, trying to determine if it would be a threat or not. She missed Ashe for a moment knowing her friend might have been able to control it. Arthur never really did much with the dead and she understood why.

Niah was totally confused. Normally cyclops would abandon their kids. What was happening? They certainly weren't going to be traveling with a cyclops now. Even though it would have been nice to have a creature that scared off other creatures. But that option was dead to them.

"Grab the purse. It is the trophy from killing the cyclops. Now we either chase the kid or wait and hope he doesn't come back with his dad. I'm gonna chase." Niah said to Jason since he was the one who had made the kill. Niah tried to ignore the fact that he had asked for advice after just yelling at her to stop giving it.

She followed after the kid. Hopefully, they could deal with the kid and his dad before the train arrived. They had fifteen minutes, which was much less than the hour they seemed to have had a bit ago. The kid was running into a large crowd. Niah quickly re-sheathed her sword and it disappeared. She wondered what the Mist had been showing people so far.

Ed nodded. Frost was too dangerous to be around. He didn't trust her. Especially with what he knew about his counterpart. He was going to respond to Mary when Klara returned. Time to drop the conversation.

"Well, we don't know what is wrong with the ship, but maybe something will be useful." The crash was strange since so many of them had been ejected from the ship before it had even hit the water. And they had ended up in weird random places. At least they all ended up in New York, not like South America or something random.

They would have to remove the ship from the water and diagnose the issue before they could really hope to know what it would take to fix it. Hopefully, Guin would have a way to deal with Danger so that they might have help.

Andy didn't really understand the skull's question. She was glad she hadn't hurt Zari. She felt like she could have if she had kept going. And anyone else might not have fared so well. Andy could help but snort when Zari said that the only people who asked for a champion were lazy or didn't want to get their hands dirty.

Andy didn't know much about Selene. They hadn't really talked or interacted. This probably wasn't the best introduction. She didn't like what it meant. She chewed on her lip, thinking, then said, "I am not ready to make a choice. I'd like to know Selene better, what she has in mind, and what I'd be doing. That sort of thing. Before making a choice."

The professor wasn't certain, but once Oliver started talking she was. He was himself. Everything would be okay. Others had woken up too, and so far, they all seemed back to themselves. She smiled at Oliver and hugged him. "I don't care what you look like. Don't get me wrong. You're pretty attractive the way you look now. But I fell in love with you." She considered a joke about keeping the murder to a minimum, but since that was a little close to home with the 257 people, she figured that'd be a little too dark.

Once she pulled away from the hug, she looked at the others. "I'm okay. Everything that makes me me is still there." She couldn't imagine herself without the alternate realities. It was nice they were all organized now. "And that isn't meaning that Oliver is the thing that makes me me. I'm not co-dependent." She could live without Oliver. She'd be sad, but she wouldn't be broken.

Matt was confused by everything that was happening. Why were there bees? But he heard Professor X's voice. Telling him to think of a memory of when he found himself. That was obvious to him. He knew exactly what to think. He thought back to when he was in high school. There had been a very specific conversation with his sister, Lisa. She was older than him by a year. And at this point, Matt hadn't come out as trans yet. He had done everything he could to fit into society's box. But it never felt right.

Lisa and he were chatting about something girly, and he was trying to care. Trying to make it mean something to him. When finally, he said, "I don't know, I just feel like I'm lying all the time. Like Mindy isn't a real person, but I have to be her."

Lisa tilted her head at him and said, "Remember Laureen?" Matt had nodded. Understanding where his sister was going. The conversation had shifted after that, but it stuck with Matt, and by Summer break, he started to transition socially.

"Glad you're alright too." Rose said as Layla hugged and kissed her cheek. She smiled but happily returned to Cassiopia when Layla let go of the hug. She took her hand as they started walking back to the tower. Rose knew Layla was teasing her sister. She didn't mind being part of the teasing.

"Yeah, that guy. Some of Maleficent's men attacked him. But there weren't any around where Rosalia found him. He is injured, but it doesn't seem to be fatal now that he has some medical care." Rose imagined if Rosalia hadn't found him he would have died there. Hopefully, it wouldn't backfire on them.

Colby held his breath as the guards searched the vault. It was a terrifying few moments. But he was glad he had tossed the scorpion because, really, he didn't think he could have maintained composure if it had stung him. One of the cats did a good job of acting like the noise was their fault. He'd make sure to give them an extra treat later.

Once the guards were gone, he sighed, letting out his held breath. "Thanks." He said, taking Maddie's hand. "That was terrifying." He agreed. It was probably the closest to true danger he had felt since the fight with the skeletons. "Let's get out of here." He agreed.

With the gate locked, there was nowhere to go. And, of course, the Sphynx tried to attack her. But Mads protected her. She nodded, then pulled at the electricity around them. She threw a bolt at the Sphynx. She hit it, but it didn't do much damage. Andy sighed. Frustrated. It was irritating when she hit but didn't do any damage.

She pulled at the electricity again. This time she hit it again. And the Sphynx seemed to be stunned. Her sigh, this time, was more relieved. "I think it is stunned, stab it." Andy said. Hoping Mary or Mads would be able to take out the Sphynx before it got its senses back.

"You're really his mom?" She had not expected that. Niah was a little stunned and, because of that, a little slow to react. Jason was tossed into the wall. Niah blinked, but it was a good thing Stella was on her toes though. She got a good hit on the Cyclops woman.

Niah reached over and drew her sword, she swung at the cyclops woman, but the woman used her purse to block her attack. Niah swung again, on the backswing, and cut off her arm. So the cyclops now had a gut slash and an arm missing.

"We'd make terrible stew." Niah shook her head.

Andy felt great. She was full of energy. She hadn't expected that. She stepped back again from Zari. She let out a soft sigh. That kiss had been nice. But she had to explain what was going on. As best she could.

"It felt like I was pulling energy from you. So then I had to do something else and I directed it at the crows. That's how they died. But then I just...I should have asked. I didn't ask I just kissed you. I'm sorry for that. That wasn't why I apologized at first. It was because I was pulling energy from you. You look okay though. Even though it killed the crows."

She looked to the skull again. "Is that what she wanted from me? To kill?" She had killed before, but it had been a while. Andy certainly wasn't going to kill Zari.

"No one else knows. You could be right. I trust Runa. We might be able to get her involved, but she also seems...uh...troubled right now." That was a bit of an understatement with what was going on with Lance. He wished he had been able to help more.

"I tried to talk to Klara about it, but she got fairly aggressive about it." He had been trying to help her remember something about herself, but it had backfired. He didn't think the Klara they had met would be totally chill with him trying to talk to her again.

Niah wasn't surprised by what she remembered now. She had gotten fairly used to having extra memories shoved into her. She was glad she could differentiate herself from 257!Niah though. That girl had issues. Niah opened her eyes and sat up. She saw Professor X looking worried about Oliver. Her heart skipped a beat. She knew as it did that all of her was worried about him.

"Professor, is Oliver okay?" She stood up, her one leg unsteady for a moment, but then she remembered how to walk with it again. Of course, she was worried about him. She loved him. More than one of her loved him. She'd have to be careful not to let 257 get too clingy. But it'd all be okay if she let things blend the way they were before (keeping certain aspects from being unhinged).

Matt screamed. Really facing a strange Kraken version of yourself was not something you could get through without a little screaming. He had lost his gun. At least he was above the water now. And hadn't died from pressure sickness. He wondered briefly if this was something Lovecraft had seen in his nightmares.

Matt didn't know what to do. But he sure as hell wasn't going to give in. Matt slipped his way out of the grasp of the Kraken and dove into the water. He swam trying to get to a spot where he could touch the tentacle. He had figured doing this while being caught would be a bad idea, but as he reached to touch it, he wished he had done it while still being held. Because the tentacle turned into a bunch of needs.
