Going down the path, Andy snorted when Mads asked who Dora the Explorer was. Then she realized she was serious. "Uh, a bilingual cartoon character with a talking map. The map is always for what she needs it for." Andy explained. She had seen the show often enough in various foster homes. She had picked up some Spanish from the show, not enough to matter.

When they entered the big room, Andy was glad she had stopped talking already. Looking at the pit made her stomach drop. She wasn't afraid of heights. Heck, she had a pet Gryphon that she flew. She had spent most of the winter doing just that whenever she had free time. But that pit seemed to be menacing almost. She looked up at her Aunt and then Mary. Andy didn't want to ask which way next because it might draw the attention of the monsters across the way. She really hoped that wouldn't be the direction they needed to go.

Just in case she put her hand on her dagger charm, ready to pull it to fight if it came to it.

"We wait and enjoy the ride as best we can." Niah shrugged. "With the money, we have now, we can eat a feast." She had experienced plenty of hungry times on quests. She knew it was good to eat when they could.

When the commotion out the train started, Niah tensed up. She was ready to fight again if she needed to. Thankfully though, the train started moving. She had a hilarious image of the older cyclops man going to Tartus to try to find his wife. That image was quickly sobered by the thought that she would end up going there for Mads after this quest.

She relaxed as the cyclops family was left behind at the train station. She shook her head, still dumbfounded. "Have you named the dog?" She asked Stella.

Edus Penior

Skill: Stealth; magic

Neither Thalia or Jade seemed too concerned about Ed's methods. At least not enough to bring it up. He'd take it. His stomach was twisting, though. He pushed through it. Ed and went down the empty hallway, opening a door slowly. He was rewarded with an empty room. It seemed unused. He came back to the stairwell.

"That room seems unused. If we put the bodies there, that'll take care of that problem." He summoned a bubble big enough for the three corpses. He then directed them into the room, unceremoniously dumping the bodies into it. He waited for Jade and Thalia before he continued.

Rose laughed at Layla's teasing. She smiled. "I promise I keep it clean" She leaned into Cassi a bit. She headed up the stairs after Rapunzel. Layla picked her room. Rose went to the one opposite it. She wanted to wish Layla good luck with being alone with Rosalia. Rose felt Rosalia might not even want to spend the night in there. She wouldn't be surprised.

She waited for Cassi to join her in the room. Then gave a bit of a sigh of relief. It was nice for it to be just the two of them. "How are you doing? There has been a whole lot going on. I got my memories all back, and I want to know if you're doing okay." She wondered if Cassi would choose to stay here in the long run or not. Rose decided she'd join Cassi in whatever decisions she made. Even though the woods here called to her in a way the ones in Kansas never had.

"Well that was effective." Colby grinned as Rumple retreated. He hadn't expected it to end that easily. He followed his dad, especially since he had Willow holding onto him, and figured she want to be with her mom. He didn't know which way Maddie would choose, so he looked at him.

If things got too hairy, he could teleport them. Though maybe Jafar's ability to sense magic would be good enough to track him. He wouldn't want to lead Jafar right to them. They'd have to be careful going by foot anyway. He started moving after Chesire.

Ed Penior

Location: The Mansion

Ed took the pen from Bethany and did the same markings on himself that Runa and Bethany had done. He was irritated at Guin for invading his mind, but she had a point. As such, he bit the irritation back. It better have been just a token, not anything she could manipulate later.

"I am mostly defensive. However, I know that I would be very dangerous if I were unscrupulous. If he has gone full Sith, removing my tools would be how to deal with my ability to cast. I cannot cast my shield spells without a token." He removed from his pocket a small shield talisman.

"To be safe, if he carries a staff, remove that from him as well. Unless he has spells, I do not know if that would remove him from the fight. Except for healing."

Ed did not say as much as he could. If he spoke about the family and how the laws were as unenforced here in this world as they were at home, it would give too much away. He understood his counterpart's choices too well. That didn't make them right.

As supposed family reunions could go, this wasn't the worst. It was awkward. There was no question about that. Even Zari was blushing about something. She glanced between Zari and Selene. What had she missed? Then, Casper was affronted by Selene, saying she'd do away with waffles.

Andy's gay-dar did not seem to be functioning. Considering her socializing, that wasn't totally surprising. The only one in the group she would have said with ease was somewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum would have been Casper, but you'd have to be deafblind not to notice that.

The conversation at least seemed to be flowing, and no one was asking her questions she couldn't answer.

Niah slept well. She woke up surprised about that. She had expected strange dreams, but it had been quiet in her head. Sage gave them the information they needed. London. She frowned. That was awfully close to her counterpart here. And Oliver's. They may have sorted out their mental nonsense. But encountering their counterparts would not be good. There was a shift in her emotions before they settled, and she stared at the two villains on the projection.

These were her villains. People she had dealt with and would need to deal with again. All of her focused on the memories of them. She couldn't let Luminous run rampant. Though, the promise to Doom flitted around. He was still a danger to society. Any society. Niah stood. "I'm ready." She glanced at Oliver and smiled. If they ran into their counterparts, they could deal with them.

Matt arched an eyebrow at the image. Of course, they were going to London. He knew exactly what that meant. From what Matt had gathered, his counterpart was hunting down Oliver. If they came across Matt's counterpart, Oliver was at risk. He had to warn him.

"Well, I suppose it is good they are apparently still traveling together. And that there is trouble in paradise. We might be able to use that." Matt thought they might be able to convince Luminous that Doom had betrayed her. He doubted they could do the reverse.

"One thing, Oliver." He joined the other man. "Don't trust my counterpart." Niah frowned but didn't say anything.

"I would much rather spend time in a room with you at this point in my life. I do have many questions for my mom, but I'd rather cuddle with you." She winked at Cassi. Rose was a flirt. Even in a relationship, she liked to flirt with the person. Remind them what they meant to her.

"You can cuddle too if you want, Layla." Rose said, giving her a playful smile. Though she doubted Layla would. It was likely there was a clear divide. Rose was poly, but she would not tread on their sisterly bond. Joking about it was one thing.

Colby Jackson

Colby could feel Willow's fear in her grip on his arm. He was determined to protect her. But with the arrival of Rumple his normal easy-going manner left him. The man had been disfigured, an event for which he had not been present. It was grotesque. However, he didn't have the lamp. If he could distract Rumple and the guards of Jafar long enough, maybe whoever had it would be able to get out with it.

After taking a slow breath of air, Colby smiled. It was the grin of a cat about to play with its prey. "We were discussing the wonderful food spread. And the fantastic music." It wasn't the best lie. Rumple would probably easily be able to see through it. But if Colby could keep his attention, that was good enough. "I find a soiree like this is best spent near the food table. Colby had no idea how a soiree would normally go. He had never been to one before. But if historical dramas had any facts, the food table was where the evening drama was discussed. The equivalent to the office water cooler.

Niah chewed on her food and the idea that Doom might have opened the portal. She thought it might be possible he was smart enough. However, Ryanor brought up the Phoenix. She frowned. Was this possible? Was it involved? She didn't like that idea at all. If that was true. Something was uncomfortable about that possibility.

She focused on her food. Choosing instead to eat and drink. She was ready for bed. This day had been entirely too long. She closed her eyes slightly as she paused in her eating. Had it only been one day? Everything seemed to have taken months. She sighed.

Matt smiled. The group had said they hadn't wanted to talk about it, yet here they were talking. Matt was thought part of the conversation was odd. He frowned. "Wait, was I supposed to know that Doom and Luminous were behind the portal? Or is that a theory I just didn't pick up on?" He honestly had no idea when that had been mentioned. Or if it was a theory the smarter, more scientific members of the group had come up with and hadn't voiced it up to this point.

Bonnie seemed to think it was a possibility they hadn't caused it. That made him feel a bit better. If she disagreed with the theory, then he didn't feel he should have figured that out.

While the conversation continued, Matt finished eating his food. He drained the beer he had. "I'm going to turn in now. Unless some other surprising reveal needs to be made?"

Andy watched the map shifting. It put a marker in a room and then gave them an indication of which way to go. That was cool. She couldn't help but think that. Sure, Aunt Mads was right. They lived in a world aware of the gods and magic. But sometimes, seeing it was still wild.

Her stomach twisted as they heard the growling and voice from the left hallway. She knew at some point during their time here in the Labyrinth, her aunt would be taken from her. She also knew that should be after they got the sword. But that didn't make that knowledge any easier to bear. She hated and feared it.

She started down the right hallway slowly until both Mary and Mads were walking. Then she picked up her pace.

Niah let out a low whistle. That was not an insignificant amount of money. The cards would probably be quickly useless. But maybe they could use them to withdraw cash somewhere. She considered her feelings about stealing and using the cards. Decided it was from a monster, and they would be unlikely to be able to keep up with the train. In the long run, it had been a prize for defeating the monster. So it was fair game.

She picked one of the cabins when they could finally board the train. They were going to want the bed-like seats and privacy. She figured they should still have a sleep watch, even on the train. And with the privacy of the room, they would be able to talk without worrying about being overheard. Though Niah knew couching their language into game terms, no one really double took on kids talking about mystical things.

There was still tension related to Selene. Andy could tell. But no one seemed too bothered by Selene being her mother. Some of the group left, but they had a good reason. She hadn't ordered a drink, it would be a good excuse later to step away alone, or with maybe just Zari.

She glanced at Zari, thankful that Echo could explain the game further. She didn't know why it existed, just what it was. She looked back to Selene, unsure what she meant by leman. But at least she agreed with Zari about French Toast. She didn't like the texture of it.

Selene skillfully avoided answering Andy's unasked question. Claiming the story of how Andy had been 'orphaned' wasn't interesting. She didn't quite agree. But maybe it was boring. How though? Selene was clearly taking an interest in her now. What was different between fourteen years ago and now?

"I agree with you, Zari." Andy said, shrugging slightly. "I don't like the texture of French Toast much. Soggy bread isn't appealing to me." That was completely true, as she sometimes liked to dip muffins into coffee, but that seemed different. She supposed this weird small talk conversation was what was going to happen. Though Casper and Selene's conversation was...unsettling. Andy couldn't tell if Selene was hitting on Casper or just meant in general.
