Kiran finally dragged herself up. For once, she was glad no one was around. She made her way to the Apollo, receiving weird looks and a couple snickers from other campers. While she was embarrassed over the whole ordeal, she tried to play it off smoothly, which worked well for the most part. Many campers shrugged it off, but of course there were always those people. Kiran got a couple jeers along with a few cat calls and cheek comments along the way.
At last, Kiran reached her cabin. When she walked in, many of her siblings stared for a moment. Then she was bombarded by questions. Being the counselor, Kiran personally knew every one of her half siblings. In fact she knew more about them then they knew about her. Kiran was simply a great listener. But Kiran decided to tell them the truth. After all she was suppose to set an example. So she told them that the naiads dragged her in. Nothing more. They quickly understood, and many of them laughed. It wasn't unusual for these things to happen. Kiran, herself, laughed a bit before heading out to the showers.
After she was cleaned and dry, Kiran had a bit of R&R, and did a bit of organizing and pondering for the upcoming CTF game. Kiran was off her game, but hopefully others would be too. Soon enough, dinner rolled around. Kiran made a quick announcement to those who were in the cabin to make sure they knew. Then she headed to the pavilion walking with a newer half sibling. Nathan had joined at the end of last summer because of an accident involving his mother. He wasn't comfortable telling Kiran about it, but that's to be expected. So she spent some time getting to know him. "So how's your combat training going? We're going to need your best in the CTF game tonight." She said, keeping things light, but interesting.
"The training's going good, I guess. I mean, I'm definitely improving, but nowhere near everyone else's level. But archery is coming easy to me." Nathan nervously scratched the back of his neck. He was taller than Kiran by almost 6 inches. Which made him seem like a giant twig because of his added trait of being super skinny.
"Don't worry about it, any body we can get is useful. Also the archery thing is usual for an Apollo kid. I'm pretty bad at it though." Kiran admitted, showing him that she wasn't perfect. Soon they reached the dining pavilion, and sat down together, continuing their conversation.
