Oh cool, I was beginning to wonder.

Anyways, thanks for the naming suggestions, Zero, I've been trying to work out a new name based on chinese/japanese for words like unripe, unripened, immature and stuff like that but nothing seems to be working out for me, even if I bastardize them into being merely based off of those words.

I realised what I was doing with 'Bruhn' was to go with one of the more vague and less ethnic ones and just come up with a random name that sounded 'Dragonball-ish' such as Puar, Krillin, Launch or Broly. I didn't realise how many of these names were actually puns though!

All of the names I'm getting so far are too 'complicated' and civilized sounding whereas I wanted my character's name to be simple and barbaric.

Regardless! I shall push onward! I'm certain to have something by the time this actually gets going.
Well I posted this already but it didn't seem to go through, I heard the site is a bit rickety at the moment.

Anyway, I just said something about I think that Jiu Chengshu is a cool character and I liked the reference to food. I tried to make mine a 'Dragonball' sort of name but I dunno if I succeeded, maybe I should take your lead and look for a better one.

I think our characters might have interesting interactions given that my character has developed a focus on mastery being tied to age and your character is like, ancient in anime years :P

Hope this gets going soon!
((Oh okay, great! Here's my profile then, hope it's orrite))

Name: Bruhn

Age: Twenty Four

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Bruhn is a rough and rugged looking fellow with a mighty, flame red beard spread out across his well built chest and extending down to his sturnum. His dark blonde hair is similarly wild, matted together in thick strands that fall across his shoulders and all down his back with great portions of it sticking out in seemingly gravity defying directions.

His body is the well honed machine a warrior needs, and it shows. Bruhn is a towering wall of muscle, head and shoulders above the average man with an almost impossibly v shaped torso, enormous, broad shoulders tapering down to a waist that still gives the appearance of a solid tree trunk.
Bruhn's arms and legs appear as though they have been chiseled from solid stone with forearms as thick as a man's thigh and thunderous legs leading down to massive, perpetually bare feet.

His strong facial features are largely concealed by his wild hair and beard but what is visible of his skin is golden and healthy and his yellow eyes, prominent canine teeth and all of his hair bringing to mind a lion's mane all do much to give him a very leonine bearing.

Weapons: Bruhn is skilled with several weapons associated with hunting such as the bow and arrow and the spear. He is also sometimes armed with a large axe for chopping wood but often goes unarmed when completing these tasks as a way of training his body.

Clothing/Body Armor: Bruhn wears little in the way of clothing, preffering a simple brown tunic made himself from animal hide. It is a tattered garment with no sleeves, ending just above his knees and tied at the waist with an off white sash knotted at his left hip.

One his right shoulder, running from his collarbone to his underarm is a split in the material that is held together with thin, cross stitched leather cord. This cord can be removed to allow the top portion of the tunic to be pulled down over his shoulders to rest about his waist

History: Bruhn has led a very simple life for most of his time on earth. Originally from West City, Bruhn was an intelligent young man with unrestrainable pugilistic tendencies that eventually led to him becoming bored with city life even as a child.

Deciding that getting a job would detract from his training time, Bruhn disappeared into the mountains where he has remained to this day, training.

That was, until he caught wind of these wish granting balls...

On a trip to West City to visit his family, he caught an excerpt of a rerun of a past world martial arts tournament in which the commentator was interviewing an elderly fighter.
"How do you do it? What has allowed you to achieve such a high level of skill!?" the blonde interviewer questioned. The old man just chuckled softly.
"Well, I've had a lot of time to practice..." he replied simply.

Bruhn seemed to take this simple, almost offhanded statement very seriously and when he discovered the legend of the dragon balls, he resolved to blow it way out of proportion by locating the balls and wishing for immortality, then he'd have all of the time in the world but even more important than that, having outgrown the challenges of surviving in the mountains, obtaining these legendary items was sure to be a test fit for a true warrior.
Oh hell! I totally forgot about this.

Sorry, this isn't the main site I roleplay on, I just started here and forgot to check.

Is this still happening?
Howdy, previously mentioned recruit from Ms. Pants here. Absolutely down for this, original DB had a much better atmosphere in my opinion but I swear it's as if nobody has seen it.

Also, not that it isn't your perogative to do so, but why the limit to human/anthro races? I get no Saiyans or Nameks or whatever but DB had vampires, demons. androids and all sorts of weird stuff. Is it just a certain feel you're going for in the Rp or what? Not that it really bothers me, I'll probably just be a human anyways.

Also, is there going to be an overarching story in place? Like are you going to introduce villains and whatnot or is it pretty much going to be an open Rp within the DB verse? Rules four and five make that slightly unclear.
