Ah, well just treat it as if it were a new archetype whose tricks and trades you have to get used to then.
I'm not either, but I'm waiting for the GMs to get back for that reason. They are some pretty powerful effects to be sure, but Archfiends, especially the "Chess Fiends", don't really have much support in the first place.

A head's up, I'm considering changing up Lars' backstory, and I most likely will once I've written it up.
Ouch...

Anyway, here are two cards I made for the Archfiends. I'm not entirely sure of them though, but I'll leave them up for critique.

1. Der Hölleschach
Card Type:
Continuous Spell
Card Card Effect: You can activate this card if Pandemonium is on the field, and this card cannot he destroyed while Pandemonium is on the field. The following monsters can use these respective effects once per turn by paying life points equal to x200 the selected monsters' levels.
-Vilepawn Archfiend: You can tribute this card to special summon another Archfiend monster listed here from your hand or deck.
-Desrook Archfiend: You can move this card to a different column, and if it has no monster in front of it, it can attack your opponent directly.
-Shadowknight Archfiend: This card can destroy one spell or trap card on your opponent's side of the field if the selected card is in column to the left or right of this card.
-Darkbishop Archfiend: If this card is diagonal to an opponent's monster, you can destroy it and inflict damage equal to its attack. This card cannot attack this turn, and cannot use this effect until your second turn after its activation.
-Infernalqueen Archfiend: This card can use its ability of increasing attack once more during the main phase.
-Terrorking Archfiend: A monster that attack this card or is attacked by it loses half its attack points if it is not directly in front of this card.
-Checkmate: A Terrorking Archfiend can gain attack equal to that of the tributed monster for the remainder of this turn.

2. Infernal Pawn Movement
Card Type: Continous Spell
Card Effect: Once per turn, you can select monsters on your side of the field listed on "Der Hölleschach" and change their locations. This card cannot be destroyed while "Der Hölleschach" is on the field.

Obviously they're meant to make the "Chess fiends" play a little more like Chess by focusing on positioning.
Sheesh, that must be one of those newer archetypes with whacky effects that could probably cream me in 1, 2, 3 xD. Never even heard of them (save for maybe one or two), but I'm just running Archfiends as my secondary deck. Archfiends are fun, but if need be I'll make a new Archfiend deck just to make it up to par with whatever others are going to be using...
I'd take up that dueling offer, though like you I'd be using a different deck. It can be a kind of practice duel to get used to the system (I'm sure as heck not since I've never dueled by writing it out), as well as a way for both our characters to put on false fronts. I always do that at TKD tournaments, so when I actually spar the guys they're really surprised.
*HEY! Watch where you step ya nitwit!*

In a shrill voice, Scout yelled angrily at Pete as he regained his balance in the air. Lars simply watched, amused at how his spirit partner was attempting to sound intimidating and forceful when he sounded more like an bratty little child... with a distorted voice. Come to think of it, it sounded kind of creepy. Shaking his head, Lars placed one hand on Scout's head and began pulling him back away from the duelist.

"That's enough out of you," he said.

*Well tell this guy not to bump into me! Hey! You, Neos guy! Why doesn't your friend pay attention to me?!*

"Just ignore the little fiend," Lars said with a frown. "Anyway, yes. If you're here for the G-Clock Tournament then you're at the right place."

OMG, This Class Is So BoringSomething like that?

I actually do poke myself with pens or pencils when trying to stay awake in class...
I edited Lars' decklist so that the number of cards could be brought down to a more reasonable 45. Also, I edited the custom cards, so the GM's can take a look at them again to make sure everything is still in order.
"That's one way to make an entrance," Lars said with an amused expression as Pete hurriedly took his place on the bleachers after giving the finger to someone at his back. It was the HERO monster known as Neos apparently. Intriguing, Lars had only seen a HERO deck in action once before, and that was a while back when he was younger and still lived a life of luxury. He wondered what it would be like to go up against this type of deck. Maybe they would be required to duel against each other, who knew (I do hahaha)?

*That's a nice way to treat your spirit buddy!*

"Well believe it or not, you guys can be quite annoying."

*Oh come on! You're kidding me? Certainly I never annoy you!*

"Actually sometimes I like to imagine that the image found on 'Means of Infestation* is Hercules electrocuting your ass for misbehavior."

*...*

"No, just kidding." Lars said with a smile as he patted the little fiend on the head. It probably looked like he was patting empty air, but whatever. He switched out his Archfiend deck to replace it with the Steelswarm one and began looking to the cards until he stopped at Infestation Tool. Lars never knew whether to feel bothered by this card, because it sure as hell DID look like Steelswarm Hercules was getting a kick out electrocuting the poor Scout. Or maybe he was empowering him, as that what the card did...
I'm not sure how any of this will go. I've been getting my ass handed to me a lot lately on YGO Pro, even with my Steelswarms. Regardless, Mattmaganon, I'll expect a good duel with you.
