I think that's a clever idea but it'd require something like maybe it'd be very weaker version of the ability. Like if Shishi were to copy, say, Alyssa's abilities, he would be able to use her abilities but unlike her, he wouldn't see the vision for as long as her or the vision itself is more blurry and vague.
I think the bond was actually made at the beginning of the Sixth year or is my brain just that fuzzy? Because I do recall that year being the year that Draco is set to the task of killing Dumbledore, even if the Headmaster already knew that he was to die. I think I mostly just remember Draco being horribly on edge, unable to do it and struggling to go through with the plan to the point where it made him look pale and tired. Either way, we can have Snape still carry out the killing because Dumbledore asked and the fact that he was already dying from the Horcrux Ring's Curse is also a thing.

I love Drama and Feels, but the squishy sweet moments will be the moment where I start just saying "D'aaaw" with every OOC post because I'm a softie like that. It's funny cause I've always thought of Harry x Hermione from the very beginning...They just seemed to click better. When it switched to being a Ron x Hermione thing I was like "Oh, okay." and same with Harry x Ginny. But whilst Harry and Hermione was my first OTP, I always loved Luna for being so dotty and off in her own world. She just made things feel pretty interesting.

And I didn't like Draco too much at first, I think it had to be the fourth or fifth book where I started to find him more interesting. Never considered him with Luna though, which is what has me so looking forward to this roleplay - Because now that I think about it, they would be a very unique match. Unique in the good sense mind, not bad.

EDIT: I gotta go sleep, it is nearly 1AM over here in British-Land. And if there is a starter up when I wake up tomorrow, I guarantee I will reply.
That's true, but the reasoning that Draco becomes chosen is as a punishment essentially, against his family. Because of Lucius failing to retrieve the prophecy from Harry and all that good stuff in the Department of Mysteries, the Dark Lord chooses him, and he has to do it or his family will die. Another reason that Snape ends up having to kill Dumbledore is not just because of the curse that was on the Horcrux Ring and the fact that the Headmaster asks him, he is also makes a bond with Narcissa to protect Draco and to fulfill his duty for him if her son can't do it.

That being said, I'm sure we can think of a way to switch it to Ron. Like perhaps they pick him, because he's willing and also has been much closer to Harry than Draco, which in turn means he's closer to Dumbledore. However, when it starts to get worse, and Ron is beginning to feel the stress and pain of being a Death Eater, I think he'll start to maybe realise that his decisions were in poor, bitter taste, and that he has made his family a prisoner in serving Voldemort. So this will make things a lot worse, and yet, it will be a paving stone for him to get back on the right track.

And yes, I feel pretty psyched up for this RP~ It's going to be interesting to see characters develop so I'm looking forward to that, as well as the aforementioned grit-and-fluff.
Oh dang, well, that "Weasley is our King" song is never going to go around because Draco comes up with those absolutely amazing lyrics. If by his Sixth Year and he's getting better with everything, there will be no song. And of course, if Ron goes down that path, I think that he won't become a Quidditch player anyway, because he'll be focused on strengthening his resolve, so that he'll be able to follow through on his new found plans. That being said, if Ron is to turn for the worst, I wonder if Draco will still be forced by Voldemort to take the Dark Mark after his father's failure and be instructed to kill Dumbledore? I only wonder because I highly doubt that Ron, even with his new change of heart, would draw the line at killing Dumbledore.

And I eagerly await your starter. I'm really looking forward to starting this roleplay, you have no idea~
Go ahead. But it's up to you. Honestly I was playing with two different characters that I wanted to introduced, but I narrowed it down to one.
I would hope so! That's the idea. Going to post my new character here so people know who she is.

Name

Alyssa Carmichael [Ah-less-ah Cah-mic-hal]

Age

17

Unique Quality

Extrasensory Perception - Alyssa has the psychic ability to tap into her mind and look to the future and past. However, in doing so, it causes her ears to ring with a high pitched white noise, and she has to stop. Dependent on how long she sees for, this gives her a splitting headache, migraine or even becomes temporarily deaf.

  • Retrocognition - Perception of Past Events very vague retelling that lasts 5 seconds. Not very useful unless she focuses, at which point the ringing sound becomes louder and louder, forcing her to stop. She cannot decide on whose past she sees or even determine at what point in time the event is, and her visions are few and far between.

  • Precognition - Perception of Future Events very vague retelling that lasts 5 seconds. Not very useful unless she focuses, at which point the ringing sounded becomes louder and louder, forcing her to stop. She cannot decide on whose future she sees or even determine at what point in time the event is, and her visions are few and far between.

  • Clairvoyancy - With focus, Alyssa can use her powers of perception to determine information about a person by taking both their hands in hers and blocking out all other noise. Whilst it is a strain to her, she can pick out two important events from another person's mind among all the information - One from the future, and one from their past. This process is lengthy and almost weakening, causing both her and the person she is channelling the memory from to relive the situation.

Weaknesses

High Pitched White Noise will often interfere in her readings and predictions, which steadily progresses to become louder with each second that passes. If ignored, it progressively becomes noisier until it deafens her temporarily for several seconds.

Headaches also occur if the noise persists for a long while, at which point she needs to take a break from her readings and predictions.

Another poor side affect is that when she slips into her clairvoyancy, she begins to feel nausea of a sort. Her body will revulse against the affects of seeing another person's past and future as it is unnatural for a human, going against the natural order of things. She has learned to fight it during the vision, but once she comes out of her trance, she will often flee to deal with her nausea on her own.

Personality

Despite bouts of self-consciousness, Alyssa is rather chipper, friendly and willing to help others. She's a horrible liar and prefers to be honest and upfront with others.

Bio

To be Revealed.
I think at first, Harry won't be involved in the newsletter until he's been forced to participate during the Triwizard Tournament. I think Luna was given the task to write the newsletter due to her father whose job is writing and publishing The Quibbler, and even though she is a Third Year. This also will get her into the Yule Ball without a date, since she'll be reporting on all aspects of the tournament and the events. She is a year behind everyone else after all, and so like Ginny, she needed a date to get in, so this way, she's still able to get in without us breaking character and having someone asking her.

And just now, I am realising just how much resentment there is or could be. 1st Year? Harry defeats Quirrell / Voldemort, and Ron's achievement is just really skipped over. Sure, he risked his life to get Harry further, but when it came to giving out the points? Hermione got points for being intelligent, Harry got points for bravery and even Neville got a very points for having the courage to stand up for friends. But Ron? He got points for being good at Wizard Chess. Nothing about him risking his life. In Chamber of Secrets, his sister and everyone else always thanked Harry for saving them from the petrification and Tom Riddle, but not so much her brother. And of course, as you've so mentioned, there was Hermione and Harry pretty much running off and saving Buckbeak and Sirius by themselves, and then throughout the Triwizard Tournament, it will be mostly Hermione helping Harry learn spells for the Trials.

There is just so much leading up to him feeling left out that I feel almost a little silly for not noticing sooner.

Well for the starter, We could say Luna is about ready to leave the Great Hall when Draco does his show off thing and goes to put his name in the goblet, but Snape will intervene and grab him by the arm. Of course, he's dragged out the Hall and is being lectured, so whilst Snape is deciding on his punishment he spots Luna Lovegood leaving too. Severus remembers that she's the Ravenclaw who is in charge of writing the Newsletter and so he forces Draco to join her in writing the newsletter. Meanwhile, Hermione is waiting in the library, waiting for Luna to arrive, and I guess we can say that Harry is there with her, half out of intrigue about the Tournament since he doesn't know as much about the Wizarding World as others, and the other half is to do his homework, of which he has to be reminded to focus on by Hermione.
Honestly? I love her. She's really unique and I think her quality, if done right, would be useful. I have a concern that she can bring creatures that might be large enough to destroy the whole hospital. I think just with some limitations, like only mythological beings that are human sized or smaller can be summoned. Just trying to think practically.

But honestly, I really do like her as a character. Unfortunately, the GM gets the final say so. Of course, I'd love to see Sophia get accepted!
Sharing Ginny as an NPC sounds like a decent plan. I think also with your good ideas for Ron's slow decline into become a darker shadow of his former self, would mean that we would have to set a person to play as Ron, seeing as he's now going to be the antagonist and perhaps, maybe a bit more in the spotlight than other villains, since we'll probably end up focusing on events that lead to him becoming a more left out, paranoid person, and then eventually into events that cement his beliefs that Harry is a bit more reckless and being around him isn't secure for people like, say, his sister and his brother. He worries for Hermione too, at first, but a part of him is still able to connect the dots that Hermione is loyal to Harry, and that he can't do anything for her.

Man, thinking about it, Ron distancing himself and his eventual betrayal is going to hurt everyone. I mean obviously, it's going to hurt Harry and Hermione, but it will hurt other people too, even his family as Fred, George and Ginny are all friends with Harry and Hermione too. And when Luna mentions it in passing to Draco, he would be a bit confused as to Ron's actions, and by the Fifth Year, when Ron is acting as a Death Eater, that will be when he maybe starts to change views, though I'm not sure his views will have changed enough to make him become a member of Dumbledore's Army. That would be up to you.

If he isn't, then I imagine he wouldn't join Dumbledore's Army but as a member of Professor Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad, he'd be surprised to see just how far they've gone. And if his views are changed, I think Luna would bring him to the first gathering before they sign the papers and stand up for him, claiming that they are being just as shallow as the Death Eaters, only with the Slytherins, rather than half-bloods.

Anyway, whenever we've decided who plays Ron, I am happy to start whenever~
