- Heavy, run of the mill armor used to defend against most attacks. Probably the thing that defines his fighting style as it causes him to rely heavily on his own defensive skills. This shield also works as an insulator to magic, heat, and electricity blocking most solid and energy attacks that come his way.
- A custom designed rectangular shield made out of (N/A) capable of withstanding shots from a cannon.
- A highly conductive sword capable of channeling heat, electricity, and magic currents through it. This works both ways, so it can be used against him.

- Long sword (casting up a new sword every single time eventually got annoying. Thus the reason he carries a sword even though he can simply create a new one out of thin air.)
Magic and other special abilities:

Weaknesses:
- His magic is endothermic in nature, so it acts as a void to light due to all the energy it sucks in. However due to its efficiency at absorbing energy, it is capable of overloading rather easily. Areas with a lot of loose power sources cause his magic to erratically spiral out of control if he does not keep it under a manageable size. Light filled areas, places with high levels of oxygen, or casting magic into water are some of the more obvious climates in which his magic backfires on him. (Yes, I know this is probably not how this is supposed to work, but it sounded like the concept would work interestingly in a fight, so there.)
- He has a large mana pool, but that does not mean it is unlimited. Force him to run out and you win, simply put. It is the biggest thing he relies on and therefore his greatest weakness in combat if you manage to take it away from him.
- Due to his care for his fellow teammates, he can often be distracted by their well-being over his own. Especially in the midst of combat is this a weakness of his.
Strengths:
- Places with low levels of efficient energy, such as caves or wastelands, usually allow him to cast his spells at a much wider range without much worry. (Again, sorry about the stupid science.)
- He is a powerful leader due to his endless battle experience. A battlemage must devote a lot of time and effort into studying their art, but to turn his into such a unique and powerful form is a feat in and of itself. Lots of practice on live targets have taught him how to properly wield such a power. The wisdom that comes from war and peace have also enhanced his leading potential exponentially. Once a person who fought for his own sake, he now leads others in a way that he wish he was once lead many years ago.
- Being the experienced mage that he is, he contains a lot of potential for magic. Being capable of casting tremendous sized spells based on climate alone rather than his personal mana source. His only limit is how well his opponent is prepared to deal with him.

- Specialized gauntlets capable of freezing and defrosting mercury, while at the same time manipulating its flow over long ranges using powerful magnets within the device
- Backup containers filled with mercury

Weaknesses:
- He is rather flamboyant despite being a ninja, causing most of his normally sneaky attacks to become quite obvious in nature. He fights differently with his Katana however, but convincing him to act how a normal ninja should is a feat in and of itself.
- His gloves rely on their magnetic capabilities in order to control the mercury that comes out of them. Places filled with magnetic interference, a cave filled with ore or other metals for example, force his main weapon to become useless.
- He tends to overestimate his own capabilities quite often, and rarely ever realizes when he is against something or someone he is no match for. The only way to know who is truly stronger is through the end result. Because of this, most fights usually don't end in the way he was expecting them to.
Strengths:
- A very creative and unpredictable fighting style, mixed with an unstoppable backup style forces most of his opponents to either come up with a way to defeat him quickly or risk defeat.
- He never gives up, especially around the people who he has pledged his loyalty to. He will lay down his life to protect his friends... and his ego... mostly his ego.
- The thing about his weapons, is that all he needs is one hit and he instantly has the advantage in the long game. They are all specialized to make the opponent weaker in some form, so it should be wise to dodge them if you can.
