The only acceptable way to get tucked into bed by a loved one is not with love and a kiss on the forehead, but a suplex and an elbow drop.

"It was just a small delay, and nothing much would happen from it" was what she first thought when taking the time to help the one in charge of the school's library tidy up. Manami had taken some time from her class to help classmates with their studies, nothing really odd when she did it every so often. To compensate for the time lost, she made sure to study hard and remain in the top spots when it came to grades, so that she could keep this earned priviledge. And, to keep up with her image, she agreed to help the librarian with the mess of books they left behind, as cold climate had taken its toll on the assistant and they were now bedridden. It was a calm and simple task, the routinary movements serving to put order in Manami's thoughts.
They naturally drifted towards the last night. She didn't make her presence known as she didn't feel like getting in petty squabbles about kill steals and others. If she was to operate, she'd rather do so in smaller groups. Whatever she had done the last night, though, didn't mean she was allowed to miss the regularly scheduled Detention Center meeting. It raised a couple of eyebrows back at her home when the housemaid began to wonder why was she returning much later than usual. However, any doubts were quickly washed away with the simple excuse that she was there to 'lend a hand in the reformation of wrongdoers as an example to follow.'
"An example to follow..." She muttered those words under her breath. Yes, that's why she was here. All the lot of them, so unorderly and savage in their ways of hunting. Giving in to their most raw and basic instincts. Just because one has power it doesn't mean that one must be careless and get overconfident. Instead, one must downplay their own capabilities to find the best moment to attack. A single, lethal strike; a definitecoup de grace.
With those thoughts in mind, Manami made her way to the Detention Club. Being a couple of minutes late wouldn't bring up that much of a fuss; in fact, it's the perfect time to arrive: It is assured that one doesn't have to wait for the rest to arrive and that she'd be able to hear the most of what this meeting was about. Still, she was absolutely sure that something was wrong as she walked through the hallway. A feeling that she slowly discerned as she approached the source: an uncorrupted magical girl had made her way to the club. However, the building wasn't a pile of rubble as of yet, so it was safe to assume that they all managed to keep their collective cool and not succumb to rage...
"You think you're better than us? You think you're better than me?!"
... She struggled not to sigh in disappointment. The voice was echoing through the hallways thanks to the open door's of the club. At this pace, this'd raise a lot of questions and they may get an earful from the school's authorities for disturbing the neighbouring classes or something of the sort. However, as she turned the corner of the hallway, the sight of an unknown figure stuck her by surprise was unmiste. She seemed like a wealthy girl, but the empalagating feeling of positive energy was unmistakeable: That girl was definitely one of the Light. "This is unfortunate..." was all that she muttered. Inside of her, she felt the need to deliver more blatant and vile words, however she didn't know if anyone was listening. Instead, she hurried towards the club and braced herself to be met with the start of a fight. And, in case such an event happened, she had to keep a favorable position against the possible foes. With that in mind, Manami made her appearance.
"Really, I thought you all would be more discreet than this" she said with a sigh as she took her place by the door, right behind the intruders. The way those words were pronounced making it seem like she adressed both the newcomers and the members of the club. As it seemed, she had arrived just in the nick of time of what she wanted to avoid. "If you keep up with the racket, eventually people will come and ask questions, don't you all agree?"
• Name: Manami Kawaguchi (愛美 川口) • Title: Winter Idol (Pre corruption) Discordia (Post Corruption) • Age: 16 • Emblem: A necklace with a treble clef made of silver, with a diminute sapphire on the bottom. • Devil Arm:Echoes: Once, before corruption settled in Manami's heart, Echoes was a simple earpiece much alike those that idols used. It allowed her to check on any of her team mates at any moment, and use the sound of her voice to inspire and bolster them with strength, to make her song reverberate with the nightmares and soothe them, so that they could be finished.
Now, with its user having a much more prideful and vile mindset, Echoes shifted into a microphone with a cord made of barbed wire that can be wielded as a whip when needed, and a wicked stand that functions as a spear. • Magic: Manami's power always revolved around sound and its effects. While she was still one that fought for the light, her melodious and hopeful song was said to make her teammates go further beyond their normal capabilities or even heal rapidly from their wounds, and it made everyone flow in a coordinated and harmonious dance. Any Nightmares would grow weak upon hearing it, which made her the perfect support for teams of Magical Girls. She could perceive with Echoes to how the other girls were doing and communicate with the rest of the team to prepare in accordance.
With her change of heart came a very different set of power as Manami, instead of looking to help others with their own advances, looks to take the lead and expects the rest to follow up; if they don't seize the opportunity, she'll simply have to deal with it herself. As such, her magic became much more aggressive: her voice now mercilessly blasts at her foe, the cacophony of her song disorientating and damaging any being standing in her way whether they're a friend or a foe.
In addition to that, the magical sound waves disrupt and erode any form of transient magic in their path, making it harder for them to mantain their form. As such, Nightmares would be slowly weakened and damaged, projectiles made with magic would lose a bit of strength and objects created with magic would be damaged little by little until they break, unless one invests energy to help them mantain their form. This does not have any effect on permanent magical effects like a magical girl's Arms or Emblem, however.
Finally, as a result of losing her enhanced hearing capabilities after her fall into darkness, she can now manifest jagged metallic musical notes to use as projectiles, which disappear some moments after impact. • Background: A lonely girl living in a rather large house owned by two wealthy and hard working parents who are never at home, a girl who at first sought to have friends and, in order to get them, she strived to be as helpful as she could. Polite, kind and mild-mannered, she always lent a hand to those who needed and, as the time passed, she was slowly becoming a known person that one could always rely on. This reputation was also present in her deeds as a magical girl, where the others knew she was the one that'd always have their backs.
However, one day the efforts Manami and her team put into a fight against a powerful Nightmare wasn't enough. It was natural, they were too weak at the time, but she took it personally. She believed that she wasn't strong enough, that their defeat was her fault and that she could've done much, much more. Fueled by that, she began hunting Nightmares by herself and found out that she could absorb them to bolster her own power. With that, a realization came in.
Whether it was fueled by the darkness filling her heart, or by her own mentality it can be argued, but she began to see how, if she was stronger, more people could rely and depend on her, and she wouldn't need to stay in the back while the others fought. Over the days, this began to evolve into a more selfish mentality. She was helping the others, and it was due to her continued support that they succeeded. If it wasn't for her, they would've died a long time ago. So, if she was such an important part of the team, why not fully embrace that position? It was at this moment of time that she fully became a dark Magical Girl.
The change was also notable in the real life. She began to carry herself in a much more confident manner and, while she was seen as someone responsible that'd always lend a hand, this was merely a way to settle her superiority in the minds of those that surrounded her, and to make them accept that she knows best. And, as a Magical Girl that fell into the darkness, she soon came to know about the Detention Center thanks to a TV headed feline. As such, a respectable figure of the school such as herself should make her appearance there, in order to make sure that they don't engage in any sort of foolish behavior, right?

It was a rather cold morning, or at least it had been. As the time approached the noon it slowly began to warm up, and one could wander outside without the need of a snug coat. And, as such, Manami decided to spend this small break between classes to have an outdoor lunch. She checked that she still had the food she had prepared this morning on her and, after confirming so, she set out to a visible spot not too in the way of the flow of people.
When she took her seat, she methodically unwrapped her meal. It was a practiced motion, done enough times before so that one of her classmates would find her and sit besides her so that they'd eat lunch together. By that time, the box would be just been fully uncovered, and they could start at more or less the same time. Soon, other girls began to come by and a small group of six or seven girls enjoying a leisuresly chat over their food was formed. Manami herself didn't speak much, limiting herself to small comments and to replying when adressed so that they don't forget that she was present with them but, at the same time, mantain a composed and even dignified image.
The break ended, the bell rang and everyone began to retreat to their classrooms. Manami lagged behind a little bit to answer to the query of another girl who wanted her help to study. Gracious as always, she agreed with a pleasant smile. None of her actions truly revealed that she had spotted an unnatural being resting rather nonchalantly on the branches of a tree. And, seeing the other girl off, she approached the creature. A dark feline with a television for a head...

Added this to the CS in the Magic section, essentially a copy paste of the description given with some changes.
Can you elaborate a bit more on this. By "magical effects", does that include the magical powers of other Magical Girls?
The magical sound waves disrupt and erode any form of conjured magic in their path, making it harder for them to mantain their form. As such, Nightmares would be slowly weakened and damaged, projectiles made with magic would lose a bit of strength and objects created with magic would be damaged little by little until they break, unless one invests energy to help them mantain their form.
Against other magical girls it's loud and disorientating but, unless they're caught by it by prolonged periods of time, there's no real damage to them, their arms nor their emblems.
