Devlin stands at a average height of 5'6", Her black hair is a mixture of waves and curls with streaks of colors that she changes whenever she feels like. She has blue green eyes, seem to stand out against her pale skin and long dark lashes. Her lips always seem to be slightly turned up in a permanent easy-going smile, that always make her seem approachable to others.
Clothing Style:Let's see... she tend to stick to skinny jeans that are black, grey, charcoal, dark colors. Devlin has a large collection of nerdy shirts, and comfy plaids shirts that are mostly dark colors. Devlin usually wear a pair of giant over-ear headphones around her neck, that she puts on to listen to music, when she is working on her projects or just to block out the world. Devlin is also usually seen with a messenger bag (gotta have something big to carry all of those tools of hers and completed mini projects, she might need to try out on) and rocking a pair of comfy, yet combat boots. She always seems to have work googles perched on her head, that she moves to cover her eyes. When she is hard at work.

When you meet her, Devlin Tutela Chadwick, she kind of has a few different pieces of her personality that makes her Devlin. But, they blend into her all at once, she do not have multiple personalities. Trust me. she has been know to have a very free spirited personality that she shows off most of the time around everyone she meets, adults, people her age, and everyone in between. This is a huge part of her, The part of her that is always honest. But, another part of her is how she doesn't care what people think of me. When it comes to her friends and family she is always there for them no matter the situation. Whatever, they need she will do it within limits of course. She doesn't want pranks going wrong people's feelings getting hurt. She is reliable like that. Always thinking the plan or situations through before enacting her plan.
Devlin has intelligence which plays a big part in her work. She invents things, or at least tries to. She's always sitting down in her spare time with a note book figuring things out and what she'd need and everything really. Devlin's quite creative too. She has a creative mind and she knows how to use it most days into her work. She isn't just smart when it comes to creating things. She also very smart in some subjects of life like a working out problems and her classes at school.
She has a fun-loving personality, but it depends on who is around. When Devlin is around her family, or close friends she is random, she has her moments of random funny dancing, or just the odd joke out there. Delin will also say random words she makes up are talk about something she heard before, She also likes to play harmless pranks with her friends.
Devlin volunteers her time, when she isn't busy with her own classes to help new students settle into the academy, She has enjoyed spending her free time helping the first years classes during their study period. She is considered to be on of the most kind-hearted and reliable students. Because, she tries to make sure that other student have a great experience at school like she has had.
Background:Devlin Tutela Chadwick was born on November 20, 1994 to a young and not married couple. Their names were Anise ChadWick and Dmitri Tate. And, just like every teenage parent, her mother thought that her father would stay around once she was born. That was not the case. One day when Devlin was three years old, her mom came home from picking her up from school to find her father was gone. No trace of him left in their home. After that, She had decide to give Devlin to her parents and ran off to find her "beloved" boyfriend. Devlin doesn't even remember her face. But, growing up with her grandparents wasn't terrible. They never showed Devlin any photographs of her mother just because they thought she would be upset. Unlike her mother they didn't have a lot money and tried to give Devlin whatever she wanted if they could afford it.
She didn't really have a normal childhood growing up. Her auntie, Anastasia came to live with them and had brought her husband and two boys in Boston in Las Vegas. It was nice, I guess, they treated as Devlin as their own. Devlin and her cousins got along great, When they had days off of school. They would spend it together working on the car her oldest cousin was trying to rebuild. Or they would have prank wars between the three of them. Her aunt use to tease them about how women's intuition was Superior to men's gut considering how it seemed that Devlin always evade their prank traps. Her family considered her to be a little genius, because she always seemed to understand how mechanical objects worked together or busy working on a project she thought would be good to use around the house.
When she turned fifteen, Devlin heard her aunt talking, well screaming to someone on the phone. Before she knew it Devlin heard her yell something about her, saying "You are not going to hurt her again!" She's a very smart person and could put two and two together. It was her mother and she wanted Devlin back. So, she asked for the phone and heard her mother's voice. She was terrified but before she knew it, They made plans to meet while Anise was in town. When they did meet, Devlin saw the wedding ring on her finger and found out that her boyfriend proposed once seeing each other once again. But, the one thing she told Devlin that changed her life is that her father didn't stay because he didn't want a child but because she wasn't his to begin with and she wouldn't tell him who's baby Devlin was. So, he left her until she choose. Him or Devlin. And she chose him. She found out that her father was a god, not God but a Greek god named Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths and a bunch of other stuff in that category which maybe why she was able to know exactly what every type of machine was. Ok, she guessed she wasn't that intelligent. Devlin asked her why she was telling her this now, all Anise did was tell her about a school she had enrolled her in, that she would be attending next school year. Then she walked away. She didn't even say Goodbye, she just left Devlin sitting in the cafe they met in.
When Devlin had gotten home that night, she had told her grandparents that her mother had made arrangements for her to attend Olympus Academy next school year. They were surprised that Anise would be paying for her to go to school. They had told her if she didn't want to go she didn't need to; But she had already decided to attend Olympus Academy, when the next school year started. Maybe, She might learn something about her father while she is there.
Life at the Academy:
So far it has been great, at first she had a rough start. She had felt agitated and out of place, She was having trouble keeping calm. Part of her was mad, that Anise and Hephaestus both abandoned her. Mad, that she could control her temper. Before she left, her grandparents house things, unexpectedly would set on fire. When she got upset. Her first few weeks, she ended up burning thing on accident. Till one day, she was pulled aside by one of the teachers. They had in a classroom by herself, till a man entered. She felt like he was familiar to her but, she didn't know why. When he smiled at her, She felt a surge of warmth. When he had told her, That he was Hephaestus. That he was her father. All the anger she had felt before, came rushing back. The tables around her started to burst into flames, before he waved his hand and the fires disappeared leaving charred desktop behind. He told her that, she was like her mother pressing down her anger till comes out all at once. He apologized to her, saying he thought Anise would take care of her and raise her good. But, he was wrong. He wanted to get to know her and help her gain control of her pyrokinesis. She cautious at first, when she meet with him for lessons. But, eventually she moved past her anger and always looked forward her next lesson. By, The time her first year had ended. She had better control of her powers and pretty good relationship with Hephaestus.
Devlin was pretty much back to her old self before, she had met with Anise. She had also friends, who she knew she would do anything for. Sure, now that she is a Sixth year. She doesn't have the same friends as before, But was still friends with the ones who really mattered to her and had made new friendships as well. Now she just what this school year would be like.
Extra:She has a sweets addiction, so she tends to keep a bunch of snacks on her at all times.
Godly Information
Devlin is the daughter of the god Hephaestus, god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.
Relationship With Godly Parent:When Devlin and Hephaestus first met, it began with Devlin telling him off for disappearing from her life. Hephaestus laughs at this, saying She reminded him of her mother, whom he misses quite a bit. Hephaestus later reveals that he has been watched her grow, and that he is very proud of her. He also admitted that he is not very good with people, which is why he doesn't meet with his children often. Since then, She has had a friendly relationship with her father. always ready to ask him advice, or just to sit and tinker with some equipment that he sends her way.
Godly Abilities:- Technokinesis
Devlin has amazing mechanical abilities; she can manipulate a alarm clock to say "Dev for the win" in a low voice like Darth Vader's and build a working helicopter out of pipe cleaners. She was able to fix the old watch for her grandfather in one night, even though he thought it would never work again.
Machine Aptitude: Devlin can understand and sense machinery and has the ability to expertly operate machines she has had no prior experience with.
Machine Expertise: Because Devlin is a demigod child of Hephaestus, she can instinctively fly or drive any mechanical vehicle expertly, including cars, trains, or helicopters. Unfortunately, though She has a fear of being confined in small spaces. So she tries to stay as far away as possible from them.
Machine Sensitivity: She can sense faults in metal ore and identify machinery type and use by touch. It can be distracting to her, because she will suddenly have needs to fix whatever the problem is.
Trap Detection: Devlin can also sense traps, in particular mechanical traps, shown when she seems to be able avoid the prank traps her cousins set up to prank her with. - Pyrokinesis
Devlin discovers the ability to generate and control fire, when she accidentally sets the garage on fire. It took a few years for her to learn to control it now at low-level ability she would probably be moving a candle back and forth; if better, maybe putting out the flame with her mind or making it relight. Pyrokinesis is one of the more practiced skills like telekinesis. It is too, for warming people up or setting objects aflame. Her pyrokinesis is supposedly a gift, hasn't quite made up her mind yet about if it's true or not. Her pyrokinetic abilities can go as far as to shoot white hot flames high in the air that could burn through a metal chain link. However, she does have trouble controlling her pyrokinesis when she gets Angry or irritable, Usually when she get like that things start burning up. She can throw fireballs/fire bolts, fire blasts and (if she concentrates hard enough), Tall walls of fire.
Superheated Fire: Devlin can increase the heat of her fire (to the point that it becomes white-hot), and can also create walls of flame. This is the main defensive use of her powers.
Supernova: She can increase the heat of her fire to such an extent that she basically becomes like a supernova. But the side-effects effects of using her power in such a way is quite fatal to her (enough to char her otherwise fireproof body), despite her immunity to flames.
Fire Immunity: Devlin discovers she is fireproof, When she was still living with her Grandparents. She could sit in a blazing fireplace and be completely comfortable. However, Devlin's supernova fire explosion was fatal even to Devlin, enough to char her body. She also found, when she is angry. Her immunity seems to disappear and has burned herself during the times they were gone.
Heat Sensitivity: She can sense heat, flames, and metals, even allow her to walk through the forest at night in the form of thermal vision.
