Alright, fuck it. I just want stuff to happen again, so i'm backing off for now so Boboclown can properly have his RP. I'm still discussing things with him in PM, but with a bit of combined effort his dungeon (the first floor at least) should be playable soon enough. If any of you guys (Kurty, Otomos, Nobody) are still interested, please let us know so we'll know whether an interest check for extra people is in order or not.

Yeah i'll pm you, as to not give away our super amazing dungeon secrets.

Edit: Didn't notice you PM'd me already :P
Lol, that... could work. Although it could take days to finish depending on the powerlevel >_>
Alright, looks good. Nicely navigatable. Do you have to clear every room before descending, or is there just some kinda staircase somewhere that brings you to the next floor?

So yeah, you seem to know what you're doing so far. Do you have any experience in the arena or acting as DM for anything?
It kinda sucks that one of us will have to postpone their RP. We're prolly both pumped to do this, but there's only so many people available, and making the players participate in both simultaneously will just increase the chance of flaking. We can try doing an interest check to see if we can get enough people to run both RPs, but it's unreliable with how small the arena population is.
I suppose we'll go for less cartoony powers than Jake's. It'll prolly mostly come down to physical upgrades, and maybe some minor magic. We can't make the dog too powerful, cause Fyran and him are still considered to be one character and should stay within the restrictions of such. That is unless i absolutely can't find a fourth player, but we'll consider that if and when it happens.
Alright, that sounds great! So, the floors don't change when you die then? All floors are different, but they are consistent?
This could turn out really good but it'll be a lot of effort. You'll have to populate every floor with group of enemies that are both varied, fairly enjoyable to fight and provide a good difficulty/progression curve. Think about that when you're designing the encounters. There's nothing wrong with reusing the same creatures, but every fight should offer something new, stimulate players to use a different tactic.
Anyways, so about the loot. How do you intend to incorporate that? Do the characters have stats, or do the items have "practical" effects, like mine? An example of a practical effect would be like "increases strength by 50%", rather than using some abstract number.
Well, we'll brainstorm a little. Tell me some more about the format you intend to use. You talked about random generation, do you mean to randomize the whole dungeon? Will there be an actual dungeon lay-out where the players can choose what direction to go? And the players have to start all the way from the beginning again if everyone dies, right? Or do the different floors serve as checkpoints in some way? (I haven't seen SAO) Any idea how big you would want each floor to be, and how densely populated with enemies?
Lol, Finn the human. I'll give it some thought. He doesn't seem to be at the max allowed powerlevel yet, so perhaps we can include the dog as part of his character, kinda like a hunter's pet in WoW. Maybe there's special things the dog can eat to get stronger...
Good character. I'll have to think about having a companion for a bit. The dog would be useful at first, but would quickly fall into irrelevance unless i include dog-specific equipment somewhere...

Edit: Just as a note, you won't start with your own sword. There'll be plenty to find throughout the dungeon, of course.
