Abilities/Skills: - As a mystical consultant, Alastair has an extensive knowledge of magical and otherworldly artefacts and concepts. - Alastair is also educated in preforming exorcisms and spiritual expulsions. - Due to his proficiency with his scythe, Alastair is more effective when it comes to taking out large groups of enemies.
Equipment: Alastair's main weapon is a large, iron curved sword. Though it is not ungainly or hard to handle, some might classify it as a greatsword due to the size of the blade. Attached to the back of Alastair's cloak is a long, folded metal staff that is typically used for crowd control. In such situations, Alastair would place the curved sword on the head of the rod, triggering a mechanism that unfurls the rest of the staff, combining the two items into an intimidating scythe.
Personality: Alastair Branwen can be described as scholarly and old fashioned. He spends a lot of time in his study, pouring over musty old tomes of magic. He is also an older man, less concerned with the hustle and bustle of youth. He has no time for drama. His job is his life, and as such, he spends so much time associating with, or often destroying, magical and otherworldly beings that elements of normal human life escape or perplex him. His unyielding discipline and self-control mean he rarely relaxes and just enjoys life, which makes him kind of a pain to be around for too long. This has strained many of his personal relationships. Alastair sometimes seems indifferent and even callous when he ignores the suffering of every day people that other heroes may try to alleviate. This is because he is usually dealing with greater threats, and sometimes has to sacrifice the few to save the many. As a result of this, he appears ruthless and cantankerous. Despite what some people may view as harshness, Alastair is said to be rather compassionate, happy to help those who require mystical needs and assistance.
