Mori, Kaori

The boy, Hanari-san, caught right away that her drawing was of the American story 'The Three Little Pigs'. It was nice to know that he appreciated her art even if it was only a simple doodle. Most people had never seen what she can really do when she puts her heart into making art so she had never gotten a lot of praise from anyone other than her parents. Azusa-san seemed more nervous than anything, Kaori assumed she had some kind of social anxiety that made her that way. She made a mental note not to pressure her about the work. Kaori was a bit disappointed when Azusa-san explained that science wasn't a subject she was good at since Kaori wasn't the best in science either but the work seemed fairly straightforward. "It seems like most of the stuff we can just copy over from the textbook so if we just find the relevant pages it won't actually be that hard." Kaori put her tablet down so the others could use it if they needed to. She shuffled through the pages until she ran across an atomic diagram. "I guess I'll get started on this one." She pointed to her worksheets' part labeling section. This part should be easy so once I'm done I can help you with your part if you need it Azusa-san."
Post is meh...
The past week so far had been relatively normal. She had settled into school life rather well which was a surprise to herself. Even more of a surprise was that she had managed to avoid bumping into anything in several days. Today's class was doing a group activity, her partners would be Azusa-san and Hanari-san. Azusa-san she hadn't really well since she seemed content keeping to herself. Hanari-san always seemed cheerful so she knew that they would get along well. Each of them seemed nice enough to Kaori so she wasn't worried about that, she only hoped that they were better in science than she was since her understanding of science was lacking.

Seeing that Hanari-san had already started bringing his desk over to Azusa-san, Kaori followed suit. At first she tried to lift her desk slightly off the ground but she didn't trust that she could stay upright and the last thing she wanted was to break her 'no accidents' streak so she started to drag it across the floor instead. She brought her desk next to Azusa-san and Hanari-san's desks. She positioned herself next to Hanari-san who was slightly more familiar than the other. When she finally got her desk to sit right she looked up at them. "Hi... um... I have really good notes if you need it." She showed them her tablet with it's abundance of text files that held the notes from all the classes this week. On one side of the screen was a wall of text organized by date and subject. On the other side was a doodle of a chibi-style pig smacking a silly looking wolf with a newspaper and two more chibi-style pigs cheering on the first one.
Kaori could sense Matsushita-Senpai scanning her from top to bottom. She was probably wondering what injury or ailment had brought her here to Yamaku. It was lucky that the school uniform had knee-socks that covered her prosthetics. At least she could appear normal, which was more than some could say. She contemplated revealing her legs to her new friend. It wasn't as if they were horribly grotesque, in fact they looked quite sleek in design and they were even painted to match her complexion. Matsushita-Senpai is my new friend right? It should be fine! "You're wondering what brought me here right? I'll show you." Kaori turned to face Matsushita-Senpai fully and started to pull down her socks to reveal her legs. Both of her prosthetic legs had a casing around her thigh that held it in place. The knee joint of the prosthetic bent around her original knee and came down to form her lower shins, ankles, and feet. Underneath the prosthetic her legs were covered with a special sock that helped reduce chafing. "The Doctor told me they were made with some kind of printer, they even took a mold of my legs so it would fit perfectly."
You guys worry too much. Just so you know I was busy hosting a cookout and getting drunk as is customary for Independence Day here in the US. Anyway I'll get a post up when I get home from work.

Also This:
Paige could barely be bothered to look up from her meal until she realized who had just sat down next to her. Dr. Lawson greeted her with a bottle of orange juice. She wasted no time downing the entire bottle and setting it back down with a slight thud. She let out a small "Thank you" and let him go on about the data they recovered. It was a shame they were interrupted during the data transfer. At least they hadn't actually lost any data, it was just trapped in the Ancient's computer system on a hostile planet.

The old Scotsman also mentioned that she would be getting training from someone on board, hopefully someone who wouldn't turn her life into Full Metal Jacket. He also mentioned that the entirety of the next mission would be under fire. Paige was still too groggy to make a fuss about it and simply nodded her head, it wasn't like she would have had a choice anyway. She finally perked up at his question. "Icarus Project? That was the mission to unlock the ninth chevron on the Stargate right? Didn't it end with some kind of catastrophic event?"
Yeah true, Ultron is the best out there right now.
It's not a problem anymore. I put Chrome in it's place and it's working again.
